Hey Friends,
The Lord has been building my faith. I know God answers prayers daily. Some we see answered, and some we may not witness with our eyes.
I still want to thank God for answering our prayers! He is still working miracles! I want to always strive for an attitude of gratitude.
In the midst of the valley, He is good. He is always worthy of our praise. Today I am pausing to say thank you to Heavenly Father!
I have a couple of testimonies of how God has worked in my life.
Earlier in the year, I went to the eye doctor for my checkup. This was my first time seeing a new eye doctor. I went through some of the normal testing.
My new doctor was concerned about some of the results. She said they were worse than the previous results. I was a little worried, but I was somewhat certain that everything was okay.
Somehow, the person operating the machine and I could not get on the same page. I really struggled with the test. I decided to put it all in God's hands. He has given me my sight, and I know that He can continue to take care of me. My eye doctor decided that, before referring me to a specialist, I needed to come back in to redo the test.
Well, that appointment was in early February. After that, I never heard another thing. I decided no news was good news.
Last week, I called to check when I needed another follow-up appointment. The doctor herself called me back and told me that the February test results were stable compared to other tests. Thank you, dear Jesus, for giving me peace of mind and working in that situation for me! I also thank some of you who have prayed for me concerning this matter.
Also, last Sunday night, storms rolled into our area. We really didn't expect them to turn severe. Shortly after I got home from church, I received a weather alert on my phone.
We were under a tornado warning. The tornado wasn't on the ground, but the radar indicated a very high chance of a tornado. When I turned on the coverage, they told people near my location to take cover. It appeared to be a very powerful storm headed in my direction.
I am so thankful for my safe space in my home. I knew exactly where to go. But even more than that, I knew that I could call the Master of the storm. He was with me in my safe room. All I could do was put my life in His hands.
The storm dissipated, and the warning expired. We had to stay weather-aware for a while! I was so grateful that the storm did not develop into something more serious. Thank you, dear Jesus, for looking out for your children.
I want to leave you with yesterday's verse of the day from my Bible app. As I read this scripture a few different times, my soul rejoiced. I am a blessed person! Friend, you are too!
Odie
