Happy 4th Birthday Chloe Jean

 Hey Friends,

The birthdays continue into this week. Today, we are celebrating another miracle. You all also joined us in praying for our sweet Chloe Jean.

Here are several archived pics.

God heard our prayers and chose to give us a miracle. We are still praising God for healing our precious princess!!

Chloe Jean is a thriving bundle of energy that is forever sweet. She had a party earlier this month. Her theme was 4ever Sweet. Chloe was so excited about the details of her party. She was ready to tell me all about it.

Sadly, we could not be there. Her Mama Deidre and Aunt Selah sent me pictures of the celebration. It was so sweet.

I will wrap this up and let the pictures close out. Thank you for visiting.

Beckham Porter Boggs Dedication

 Hey Friends,

Many of you have been praying for our newest Boggs baby. Little Mister Beckham is doing wonderful.

He is growing like a weed. He loves eating, and he is progressing greatly. Our entire family and the DRPC family are so thankful. Beckham is our little miracle!

Beckham is still waiting for a miracle or a bone marrow match to treat his major health issue. We are hoping and praying that it is very soon. So they can be on the road to complete recovery.

Yesterday, Jonas and Kylee had Beckham dedicated. It was a special moment to thank God for the gift of Beckham, and give him back to God. I hope and pray he grows up to become a mighty man of God!

In his tiny lifespan, he's already proven to be courageous, victorious, and a fighter! God has already given him a testimony!

Uncle Tommy, Mamaw and Papaw joined us yesterday morning at church. I enjoyed having them at DRPC for a service. They were there along with Jonas’ other grandparents for the dedication.

Here are pictures from yesterday. I hope you enjoy! Thank you to Kylee, Amanda and Holly for letting me use some of your pics along with mine.

Sunday Sanity 1/18/26

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by on this frigid Sunday. I hope you are heading to church, or have already been to God’s house today.

I am excited and expecting great things to happen in my life. It is good to go to church seeking after God.

This is a nugget I gleaned from a daily devotional this week. Daddy enjoyed Pastor Tim Dilena, and I do too.

“ Faith always gets attacked at the moment it steps out and trusts God. Once you believe God, unbelief is around the corner.”
Pastor Tim Dilena
New York City
Time Square Church

This does not mean that we should not believe God!  As Christians, we are taught to have faith in a great big God. Pastor Dilena’s  statement was a reminder to me to believe God, but put my guard up all the more against unbelief.

The Bible has examples some of our heroes that had great faith, they got distracted by unbelief. Much later cause them much heartache! We are vulnerable to that happening to us as well. Therefore, we must be on guard!

See you all tomorrow!

Celebrating My Incredible Daddy

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for spending a moment of your weekend with us! First, I wanted to encourage you to check out yesterday's post HERE, if you missed it.

For the Boggs family, yesterday was a holiday. January 16 is the birthdate of the one and only Davy Boggs.

We set aside the day on the blog and in real life to celebrate him! The family text started early in the morning. Memories and pictures poured in until late last night. I hope to share some of those memories later.

I laughed, I cried, I smiled, but most of all, I was proud to be his daughter!
Mom and I were joined by several of our family members at Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner.

All of us were missing Davy Boggs! The delicious food and wonderful family time were a soothing balm to our hearts.

Here are a few pictures from Davy’s 2026 birthday dinner!

Mom and I split his favorite steak, in Dad’s honor.

I know the picture does not look like it, but Uncle Jay was fully there last night 😂. He cut himself half out of the picture

See you all tomorrow!

Old Habits Are Hard To Break

Hey Friends,

This is Odie. Today is another family birthday. A big one for us. 59 years ago today, my Daddy was born. He entered the world at 6 lb 6oz. He lived a full life that impacted many.

I love my Daddy with all my heart! Today, I honor and remember him! We miss him deeply!

Mom is going to finish this post. Thank you for reading.

A Message from KJo

Today, we gather with family to remember and honor the birthday of the best man I have ever known. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a faithful son, and a cherished brother to all of us meeting today.

He never cared much for public attention on his birthday, though he always enjoyed celebrating quietly with those he loved. While he won’t be joining us here on earth this year—having changed his address to heaven—he has left pieces of himself in each of us. His influence lives on daily. He shaped who we are, taught us countless lessons, and if we take the time to look, we can still find him everywhere. So, in a sense, he is with us.

So what made him the best man I have ever known?

First, his deep and unwavering love for his family. Then, his sincere love for God and his adventurous, faithful service to Him. Add to that his care and concern for his friends, and his compassion for the hurting and the overlooked. These are only a few of the qualities that defined him.

Did you notice the common thread?

Love.
Davy Boggs loved—When he did, he did so fiercely.

He taught us how to love. He taught us to be real, to seek God wholeheartedly, and to walk in faith even when the road was uncertain. When we look closely, we can see Davy reflected in who we are.

Some of you were blessed to know him up close and witness that love in action. Maybe you were on the receiving end of one of his preacher to pastor counseling talks, when he helped talk you off a cliff. If so, then you understand exactly what I mean when I say he was a good man—and a loving one.

Before I close, there is one more lesson he passed on to us—one Habit That Is Hard To Break.

This man loved good food and he taught us to as well!
So here we go again…the Longhorn Birthday habit!

Today, we are honoring his birthday the way he would have enjoyed: with one of his favorite steaks from LongHorn.

None of this likely matters to him now as he celebrates in the presence of Jesus. But for those of us still here, life continues. We carry on, bringing our favorite “Davy things” with us, knowing
that when we do, we never truly leave him behind.

Here is a link to a video of Davy singing “If You Could See Me Now.”

Thank you for reading today. I hope these words have made sense as I express a viewpoint I share with myself often.

A Warm Ray Of Sunshine

 Hey Friends,

It looks like winter has settled in for the long haul.  As I type, the snow is spitting. According to my weather app, the temps will struggle to get above freezing for several days. Then, in a few days, we may not even make it out of the teens.

I feel a shiver coming on just thinking about it! If you need me, I might be hiding under my electric blanket!

You know, my Dad never liked to be in Ohio this time of year!  We did experience some cold days down south on our tour, but they were short-lived.

Today, I am dreaming of warm weather and sunshine. That type of weather is on the horizon for me! Hopefully, I will be experiencing it in just a little while.

Yesterday afternoon, we were blessed with a human ray of sunshine! Sweet Lisa Isaacs stopped by to visit. She came to bless us with hugs, smiles, and a little bouquet of flowers!

Lisa is the real-life definition of thoughtfulness. Her surprise act of service warmed my heart yesterday.

Lisa, we love you so much! Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness! My soul needed a warm ray of sunshine.

This is just my reminder to myself, send that text message, make that phone call, stop and hug a friend. It will make their day a little brighter! Most of all, I want to remember to pray for those around me

See you later,

Odie

Happy Birthday Aunt Jeanna

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting! Our family’s January birthdays continue today. January 14th is the big day for my Aunt Jeanna Morgan.

I am so blessed to have excellent aunts in my life. Jeanna has been right there for most of it.

Jeanna is an incredible person, and we are blessed to have her in our family! She is loved as a wife, Mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and pastor’s wife! Jeanna excels at each of her positions! She is well
loved by all!

It is safe to say her favorite title now is Nina or Nana. She is a proud grandmother to soon to be 5 grandchildren.

I can not let today pass without giving my Aunt Jeanna a birthday shoutout. Jeanna we love you so much. Hope you have a fantastic birthday!

I will close with some more pictures of the birthday girl.
