Happy Birthday Gran 2026

 Hey Friends,

Today marks the start of a busy week of birthdays in our family. There are birthdays on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Saturday afternoon will be a party for one of the afore-mentioned birthdays. We have lots of celebrating happening this week.

On January 12, 1949, Betty Jo Howard was born. She grew up in Kentucky. On October 14, 1967, she married her sweetheart, Danny Morgan.

Today, Betty Jo Morgan is known as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is one incredible lady!

Happy birthday, Mom Betty, Gran, Granny, Granikin,  Thumbelina or Granberry; she has many titles. We all love you so much!

I am blessed to call her my Gran! She has been a bright spot in my whole life! I am grateful to have the World’s Best Gran! I am so proud of her!

We plan to meet up with them for a birthday lunch today. I am excited to celebrate with her! I will have pics from that outing later. Here are a few more pictures of my Gran.

Thank you for reading!

 Hey Friends,

Happy Sunday, here is a friendly reminder for our Sunday Sanity.

This is something most of us know well. It is always good to remember that God is forever good.

DRPC Ladies Bible Study January 2026

Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting. I hope you're having a great weekend!

Last night, I attended a ladies' Bible study with ladies from DRPC. Sis. Luvenia Lakes was the speaker, and she did a fantastic job.

She encouraged us to study God’s word and make it personal. Sis. Lakes also talked to us about our choices, decisions, and how what we choose affects our lives in the long term.

Sis. Rebecca James hosted this Bible study. She rented the Origins Coffee Shop in New Lebanon, Ohio. It was after hours, and we took over the shop. Sis. Rebecca provided finger foods. The Origin’s baristas were on hand to make us drinks for purchase.

The entire evening was fantastic. It is great to fellowship with our church sisters. I love our church family.  Thanks to Sis. Beth Austin, Sis. Abbey Dotson, Emberly and Sis. Lindsey Bishop for allowing me to ride along with them.

Here are some photos from last night. The group pics are from Sis.  Amanda Alexander.

See you tomorrow.

Foodie Friday 1/9/26

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to visit. Today I am going to tell you about an exciting time we had around Christmas. It is time for another installment of Foodie Friday. We are rewinding to December for this episode.

For several years, we have gone out to eat dinner around Christmas with Uncle Steve and Karen. Most of the years we have gone to a family favorite, J Alexanders.

This has been one of our favorite holiday traditions. Now we have had tears without Dad. I am so glad this is something we have kept going.

Of course, we terribly miss Dad! He always loved delicious food! The prime rib from J. Alexander's was his favorite! A fine dinner with his Buba was absolutely one of Dad’s favorite things. Now is a great time to reminisce about our memories and create new ones.

The 2025 Christmas dinner at J. Alexanders was fabulous. This year, we met up with Uncle Steve, Aunt Karen, JoJo and Isaac.

Sorry, not sorry for making you hungry with these food pics. The food was incredible. I am already looking forward to next time.

See you all tomorrow. I have to go; I am hungry now.

Then And Now With Carli Millikin

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for stopping by to visit with us. It is great to have you in our space.

Our blog archives hold a treasure trove of memories. I am grateful that I can look back and relive those memories from our blessed life. Last night I decided to look back at January 2010.

There I found this photo of me and Miss Carli Rose Millikin. She was trying to push my wheelchair. Carli proceeded to tell me that I was too heavy. 🤣

I know the quality is not the best, but I love this picture! The Millikins have been dear friends of ours for so many years! We have watched their children grow up before our eyes!

Here is some proof for you! This next photo was taken in October 2025. Miss Carli is now a freshman at Heritage Bible College.

15+ years later, she's still my buddy! I love her so very much and I'm proud of the young lady that she has become.

Thanks for coming with me on this trip down memory lane! Who knows where we will end up next time?

Planning For PFYC 2026 And More

 Hey Friends,

It is a new year, and it is time to plan. We have been trying to schedule out our year. We are blessed to have several invitations to visit different churches.

It is hard to get to everyone, but we are trying. Hopefully, in February and March, we will be on the move.

We have other travel plans for later this year. You can keep a check on our schedule page. Mom will try to keep it updated as details become available.

PFYC 2026 will take place March 26-27. It is a blessing to us together with thousands of people of like faith in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. PFYC will once again take place at the Leconte Center.

You can get your tickets by clicking on this link HERE.  It is time to start planning your 2026 trip to PFYC. Click HERE for all the information about PFYC.

Hope to cross paths with you somewhere this year. Thank you for reading!

Word For The Weary 1/6/26

 Hey Friends,

When I checked the verse of the day for yesterday, something jumped out at me. Romans 12:2 is a familiar verse, and this passage is often quoted.

I often focus on the renewing of the mind when I think of this verse. Yes, I want to be transformed and renewed. Last night I thought, yes that is a great reminder for this new year. I also thought that I needed to make that a serious matter of prayer.

Then, as I read the rest of the verse,” perfect will of God” jumped out at me. Oh God, I do not just want to pray; I want to strive to be transformed and renewed daily. It is your perfect will for me to experience those things in my life!

The best place to be in my life is in God’s perfect will! Not just His acceptable will but His perfect will. Here is my prayer for today.

God, renew and transform my mind, body and soul! Take any desire to conform to the world! I want to walk every day in your perfect will. Today is a new day, and I am starting fresh. God, I pray for strength, guidance and wisdom. Help me I pray! Lord I thank you in advance for hearing my hearts cry!
Amen

God, please bless my friends!
