Morgan Family Christmas Decorating Fun

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in for this Friday. Did you see Dad's Word For Wednesday this week? It was terrific and a great reminder during this busy season! Check it out by clicking here.

I hope you enjoyed my recap of the Morgan Family Thanksgiving yesterday. It is a holiday we will remember for a long time to come.

Today I have a look at some more family fun. The evening after Thanksgiving was reserved for decorating my Grandparent's house for Christmas.

This year most of the family was able to join in on the fun. I have many favorite Christmas memories at my Gran and Papaw's. Last week while decorating with the family, we made new memories for 2022. It was a fun night of laughter, fun and reminiscing.

Below are the pictures I captured of the fun. My cousin Joey Daniels got some great pictures as well. He allowed me to use some of the pictures for this post.

The fall decorations were put away. Then the boys brought in the tree. They also fluffed up the tree. It was a great help.

Uncle Danny rested up and snuggled Karleigh Jo.

Kayla put on the first ornament of the year. It was her first Christmas ornament from 1996.

My Uncle Danny and Aunt Kim race every year to find the horn first. Aunt Kim found it first for 2022 and got in the first blow of the season.

Uncle Danny could not let Aunt Kim be the only one to blow the Christmas horn.

Another long standing tradition in our family is modeling the Christmas Tree skirt. Aunt Kim always does a fabulous job!

It was nice to have Braden on hand to reach all the high decorating! No step stool was needed this year.

Jackson had a ball of fun that night. Every ornament had to be out of the box before he was satisfied!

This will be Karleigh Jo's first Christmas. She was born on December 27th, last year.

The star is always the finishing touch. Gran has used this star for as long as I remember.

The singing snowmen have been a family favorite for many years!

Thanks for joining me for our family decorating fun. I hope you have a great day. See you tomorrow.

Morgan Family Thanksgiving 2022 In Pictures

Hey Friends,

Welcome to another Thursday post with Odie. Today we are looking back on last Thursday. In the United States, it was the official Thanksgiving Day of 2022.

I spent the day with Mom's side of the family. It is always a party to remember when the Morgan family gets together!

The day started with a visit from Uncle Buster. He comes over every year on Thanksgiving morning to visit with Papaw. Gran makes yummy hot apple cider. It is a fun way to kick off the day,

This was Karleigh Jo's first Thanksgiving. She had a bottle as an appetizer while we waited for dinner time.

The future, Mr. and Mrs. Yager. Congrats to Trever and Kayla on your engagement.

The accidental outfit twins, right down to the Snoopy socks.

I love some Karleigh Jo snuggles!

Dinner time.

After dinner recovery.

The weather was beautiful! We were able to be outside for a little while.

I thank God for giving me a fabulous family! This year has been filled with the up and downs of life. The blessings from God far outweigh the rough days!

That wraps up The Morgan Family Thanksgiving 2022! Thanks for visiting with me today.

A Word For Wednesday-The Ultimate Safety Net

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I am reading today from
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

The eternal God with His everlasting arms underneath of me! That is the ultimate safety net! Are you in a pinch? Are you in bind? Are you on the edge of the cliff?
The eternal God is near you, friend!

Thank you for dropping in today.
