Praise God For Helping Chloe Jean!

I posted a bunch of pictures Tuesday of Ben, Deidre, Charlie and Chloe Jean, but I purposely held back a few pictures of Chloe Jean. I wanted to point out this beautiful miracle that the Lord has provided.

We first met Chloe Jean as a newborn in Thomasville, Alabama in February 2022. Odie wrote about it here. Below is a picture of our first meeting.

Chloe was a very sick baby and when I looked into her eyes, my faith wavered. It did not seem like she could hold onto life very much longer. But God did a miracle for Chloe Jean and her family and she is much alive. Praise God!

Look at this beautiful little lady so full of life.

We had a wonderful time with Charlie, Chloe, Ben and Deidre. I must confess my eyes are leaking quite a bit while looking at these pictures and thinking about God's wonder working power.

A Word For Wednesday-Living Under A Full Sail

Living Under A Full Sail!

It was said of Caleb in Joshua 14 ...that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

According to Strong Concordance that phrase paints a picture in Hebrew that says he lived His life under a full sail!

A sailor with the right knowledge and equipment can use the wind to sail in almost any direction he desires. Caleb did not use God's power to go his own direction. He put his sails all the way up and went wherever God blew him. He lived his life under a full sail!

He wholly followed the Lord! Wholly, completely and without reservation Caleb followed the Lord!

The Weekend Dispatch 9/12/23

The Weekend Dispatch was pushed back by yesterday's September 11 post. Here it is now.

First, Odie had some pictures left over from our few days at home.

To properly describe the weekend, we need to go back into last week as we prepared to leave the Lazy OD Ranch. The night before we left, we turned the bus around and hooked up the Jeep so that we could make our escape as quickly and painlessly as possible in the morning.

Our first day was a long one. We drove through Cincinnati, Louisville and Nashville for a total of 408 miles. We spent the night at a small roadside campground at Athens, Alabama.

The second day included a fuel stop and we ended at Thomasville, Alabama. We spent the evening with my niece Deidre and her family. It was delightful.

They helped me get settled in at their church and wash the love bugs off of the bus.

Sunday rolled around and we sang and preached for them in their temporary location. It was a great service.

That wraps up a busy weekend. This week we are attending a meeting that we have wanted to attend for a long time. It is a small outdoor meeting out in the country. The Pastor is Bro. Eddie Stringfellow and we have preached for him a couple of times. Pastor Kenny Morris is preaching the meeting.

Friday we will move over to Richton, Mississippi and prepare for the only time our tent is going up this year. We are looking forward to that. Thank you for dropping in.
