Travel Day Tulsa-Claremore-Wichita

Thursday was a travel day. We did not have a real long distance to drive but we had a lot to get accomplished. Thankfully everything went as planned. We pulled out of Hilldale Church a few minutes before 9:00 AM with the Green Machine dragging along behind.

We stopped at Flying J in Tulsa and emptied the holding tanks and then we completed the drive to Claremore where the tent trailer has been parked since the 3rd week of June. Once we were there we unhooked the car, removed the tow bar, inserted the hitch and hooked up to the trailer.

Four of the trailer tires were a little low so I took a few moments to top them off before pulling away. It only took us about an hour to make the switch and get ready to roll so that was not too bad at all. 

With 400 chairs and more tent pieces the tent trailer is now full. There is no room for the Green Machine so Kelly Jo had to follow me the 200 miles from Claremore to Wichita.

If we wanted to leave we first had to get out this gate. We made it by the skin of our teeth but we did made it!

We had not filled up with diesel since we left Richton, Mississippi 5 days and  nearly 900 miles ago so we made a fuel stop just 27 miles shy of Wichita. We are going to have to run the generator most of the week during City Reach so I wanted to be full.

It was 40 miles from Hilldale to Claremore, 200 miles from Claremore to Wichita for a total of 240 miles Thursday. We are not able to park at the tent site until Saturday so we pulled into Bethany Revival Center until then. Thankfully we were able to turn around in the parking lot without having to unhook from the trailer.

We grabbed a bite to eat and then I washed the bugs off the front of the bus and the road grime off the back. I had a meeting at 7:00 with folks from the participating churches that will be serving on our Andrew Team for City Reach Wichita. The meeting went great. There is a lot of excitement about City Reach and that sure encourages me.

Today will be more tent preparation and the tent will go up in the air Saturday morning by God's grace.

Hilldale Holiness Church- Revival In Pictures

We always have great services when we are at Hilldale Holiness Church with Pastor Nathan Conner and his fine folks. This week was no exception at all. We have had a wonderful move of God every night. The three nights have flown by way too fast but I am glad we were able to be here.

We have also enjoyed the fellowship during the day and each night as well. There were so many visitors from other churches that came to be with us and that made the revival even more special. God has blessed us with friends all over the country and it seems He has really poured it on us in the Tulsa area. I told them Tuesday night that we are blessed with friends in every direction when we are in this part of Oklahoma. Praise God for it.

May God bless all our friends at Hilldale for their kindness and hospitality. We love you all very much!

The plan this morning is to drive the bus about 40 miles to Claremore, Oklahoma. Once we are there we will unhook the Green Machine from the BoggsMobile and hook up the tent trailer. It has been parked in Claremore since mid June. From Claremore it is about 200 miles to Wichita, Kansas where we will begin final preparations for City Reach in Wichita by God's grace.
