Beach Cottage Christmas 2023

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting from the Beach Cottage in Waynesville, Ohio.
I hope you are doing well on this fine December Saturday. I have been doing great! Enjoying my time at home!

Last weekend, I visited the Morgan side of my family! We had a blast together! I am a blessed girl when it comes to the family department! I thank the Lord for being so good to me!

Beach Cottage Christmas 2023

Christmas is in full swing at my Beach Cottage this year! I love getting my Christmas decor out each year. Seeing the light and pretty things makes me so happy. I will show you some of the indoor decor highlights this season.

Thanks, Aunt Theresa, for helping me decorate my main tree this year. I was able to set it up on my own the night before Aunt Theresa came over. Theresa helped me add lights, fluff and decorate. She really has a good eye for making things pretty!

Some of the pre-lit lights quit working last year right before Christmas. I ordered some new lights from Amazon this year. The new lights are a fabulous addition. A ring sits atop the tree. 16 strings of light hang down the tree. We were able to weave them through the branches.

I loved spending a few hours together with my Aunt! Both of us were sparkling and covered in flocking by the end of the project! We had fun in the process!

Dad has suggested placing the tree at the end of my island for a couple years. It really looks good in this spot. It bridges my Great Room perfectly!

I love the look of this tree so much! This finished product! It is lovely to look at each day!

This year, I added the projecting snowflake topper and the tree collar. I am really pleased with those additions. Both items came from Temu.

The small office tree is a coastal theme. Most of the ornaments are real shells painted By Bro. Ron Connor.

I got the starfish ornament in Key West. My cousins Gerald and Debbie Livingston brought me the Sand Dollar snowman from Hawaii last Christmas.

My bedroom tree has been around for years. I have decorated it for six years with my travel ornaments, keychains, and gift ornaments.

Each year, I add a few new mementos to the mix. I have fun going down memory lane every year.

This little sign from Temu added a little Christmas to my bathroom.

There is one more special piece added to my collection. My Mamaw has had this olive wood nativity scene most of my life. She carried it in her carry-on bags from a trip to the Holy Land in the 80s. I have admired it for years! She brought it over to my house last week. I am honored to have it as part of my Christmas decor!

That wraps up the highlights of my indoor Christmas decorations for 2023.

Outside, I have a Christmas flag and a couple small signs. At night, I have snowflakes projected on the front of the house. Thanks to Lisa and Papaw for helping set up my snowflake projector.

Well, thanks for stopping by to visit today! See you next time.

Odie
