Making A Christmas Wreath

Hey Friends.

This is Odie coming to you from Waynesville, Ohio. I hope your weekend is off to a good start.

Are you ready for Christmas? I am trying to prepare all I can now. It will be nice not to be rushed at the last minute. Thankfully I started my Christmas shopping early. Most of the gifts that I ordered arrived in a timely fashion. Now I am just waiting on a couple more packages to arrive.  I have been wrapping presents this week.

I need to pick up some items for a game that we play at our family Christmas parties. Also, I need to decide which dishes  I plan to make for the dinners. I have some time left to get those things together.

Last Saturday, I mentioned I had attended a Christmas party with my Mamaw. I enjoyed spending the evening with some of the ladies from Dodds Church. My Aunt Theresa was responsible for pulling this party together. I am glad that I could participate.

Kristy Purkey was our host for the party. Kristy and Perry and their friend Tammy welcomed us warmly. They had the barn decorated pretty for Christmas, and the cookies and coffee that they provided for us were delicious. Thanks to everyone involved in making this a fantastic party! I had a great time!

For this event, we made Christmas wreaths. I am not very crafty, but with help, I made a wreath. I love the way it turned out. I am nowhere near a wreath making expert, but now I know I can do it. It was a lot of fun trying something new.

Now. I will share a few pictures that I snapped during the night. Thanks to Kristy for sharing her photos with me too.

This is what the wreath looks like on my door.

Kristy and Perry Purkey are the owners of Purkey Landscaping. They periodically host Purkey Potting Parties at their farm. I have seen pictures from their past projects. They always have beautiful pieces for people to make.

If you live near the Waynesville, Ohio area, you can check out Purkey Landscaping of Facebook here. The potting parties are already planned for next year. I  saw they have events scheduled for Mother's Day, Summer, Fall and Christmas. If you need a gift idea, they also offer gift certificates for the parties.

Thanks for stopping by to visit with me.
