Jonesboro, Illinois - Revival In Pictures

We appreciate Pastor Geoff Bond and his family and church for all of their kindness to us this week. We have had a wonderful time with our friends. God has blessed in revival and we have enjoyed every service. Each night was good and the altar services were really good. Thank God of helping our friends and blessing us in the process.

We had lots of visitors from other churches in the area and that is always a blessing. There were also several visitors that drove quite a ways to be with us and we are very thankful for that. God has certainly blessed us with some awesome folks to enjoy on our way to Heaven!

Today we plan to drive to Salem, Kentucky and begin a two night meeting at Faith Church for Pastor Israel Sanders. We are looking forward to being with all of Faith Church again.

I hope you enjoy the Jonesboro, Illinois Revival In Pictures.

Praise God For Healing Odie One Year Ago

Last night marked one year since Odie was miraculously healed and vision began to be restored in her left eye. She had woke up totally blind in that eye and had remained blind for nine days. It was a very fearful time and fear certainly hath torment. The "what ifs" seemed insurmountable and the possibilities for recovery were slim to none according to the enemy that attacked out minds.

Until God turned it all around!

When God touched her late in the evening on April 21, 2014 we started praising God for the miracle from that very moment. It took several days for her to receive complete vision in her left eye but from totally blind to seeing in a few minutes was glorious.

We were fervently praying. Our families were fervently praying. Our home church was fervently praying. Our friends were fervently praying. Churches all over the USA were fervently praying. Our friends in Nigeria were fervently praying. God heard those prayers and gave Odie a miracle!

Since so many prayers were made to God for Odie and us, we felt like we out to pause for a moment after one year and say Praise God for His help! God is our healer. God is our helper. God is our encourager. There is no other God like our God! Praise His holy name!

Will you take a moment today to thank God for touching Odie and giving her back her sight in her left eye? He is worthy and we want to make sure He knows we fell He is!

You can read more of the story as it was unfolding HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

A BoggsMobile Project - Fog Light Change

Monday I tackled a BoggsMobile project that was way overdue. The bus came with PIAA fog lights when we bought it seven years ago. As far as I know they were original and the driver's side lens was cracked when we bought it. It has had pieces missing from the lens for quite a while and the passenger side is cracked now too. Like I said, it was long overdue.

The PIAA lights work well and you can turn them on as white or yellow. They not only work well but they are also very expensive. I could replace the lenses but they are pricey too and the lights would still be over 20 years old.

I decided on the Rigid spot/flood combo LED lights and ordered them from Amazon.

I had to order a u shaped cradle for the light so I could mount it correctly.

The PIAA lights mounted with one bolt. I could have mounted the new light with one hole but the old hole was too high anyway. I figured I might as well drill two holes for each lights so the cradle could be mounted more securely.

The front bumper has a hinge on the bottom and it folds down so you have access behind it. I moved the windshield wiper tank to keep from drilling into it and to give me a little more room to work.

Here is the finished product.

It is very dark here so I turned the lights on about 10:00. This picture is just the headlights. You can see how dim the old Ford headlights are even when it is very dark.

This is just the new LED fog lights. Wow! What a difference but I may need to adjust then downward a little.

This is the head lights and the new LED fog lights.

Weekend Report

Thursday and Friday was devoted to driving to and from friends and family to mourn with and comfort them. We so often miss funerals of family and dear friends and we were so glad we were able to be with them this time. We were with Cousin Lowell Boggs family in Sandy Hook, Kentucky Thursday evening and with Bro. Joe Bill Houston's family and our church family Friday in Dayton, Ohio.

My parents and my brother Steve and his wife Karen were in Sandy Hook too. It was great to see them for a while and to share a quick meal with them before we all headed northwest to Ohio.

Wakes and funerals are not really conducive to whipping out your phone and taking pictures so we do not have much to show you from Thursday and Friday. I did get a picture of the GPS when we arrived at Dryden Rd. Church very late Friday night. We started the day in Flora, Illinois and drove to Sandy Hook, Kentucky and then Dayton, Ohio for a total of 544 miles Thursday.

Friday was a gorgeous sunny day.

I did take pictures of three picture boards at Bro. Joe Bill's funeral.

After the funeral we visited just a few minutes and pointed almost due west to Illinois. We arrived back at the BoggsMobile a few minutes before 8:00 PM central time. It was very good to be home!

This was our total for the two days.

I had wanted to get up early and be at Speedco in Effingham by 8:00 AM Saturday. Buy the time I laid down Friday night I knew that was not going to happen. After 842 miles I knew that I was not going to be out of bed and working by 6:00. So I let the girls rest and we started getting ready to roll about 10:00.

This was the quickest oil change at Speedco that I have every had. All three bays were full when we arrived but there was nobody else in line. We waited about 50 minutes before pulling in and they were done with the oil change and lube job in about 30 minutes. I pulled outside and then went inside to pay the bill. This is the part that is usually very painful because it takes so long.

In the past I have waited over an hour for the paperwork to be finished so I could pay. I have been to Speedco in several states and it always takes a very long time. This lady in this Speedco was right on the ball. She asked me a few questions while typing, printed the paperwork, processed the payment and I was out the door in 5 minutes. Nice!

I was busy the whole time they were changing the oil and I forgot to get any pictures. The only proof I have that I was there is the sticker to remind me of the next oil change. Well, I also have the credit card receipt but you do not need to see that.

Next we pulled around to Flying J to empty the holding tanks and then over to Ryan's to eat breakfast, lunch and supper.

About 2 1/2 hours later we were pulling into Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jonesboro, Illinois. By the time we were parked, hooked up, the bugs were washed off the front of the BoggsMobile and the grime was washed off the back I was ready to rest.

Sunday started with Homecoming dinner at 12:30 and then Homecoming service at 2:00.

Pastor Geoff and Sis. Glenda Bond

We had a great meal and two great services Sunday. It is good to be back in Jonesboro. We have had some good revivals with our great friends here and it has been too long between visits. We will try to do better about that. We will be here through Wednesday and we are expecting to have good church the next three nights.

I hope you had a great Sunday.
