Nigerian Minister's Conference Flyer

Bro. Shobanke sent the flyer for the Minister's Conference today. It is another reminder that our Nigeria trip is fast approaching.

We have two revivals in Oklahoma, two revivals in Texas and one revival in Arizona and then we will be on our way to Nigeria. When I consider how quickly these Sunday- Friday revivals fly by I realize I need to get cranking. We will be in Africa before you know it.

Long time readers of our Mile Markers may remember that I was excited about Nigeria in 2007 by the prospect of preaching to the lost in the outdoor Gospel Crusades. I love preaching Christ to those that need him so desperately.

The Gospel Crusades are still a big attraction for me and I am sure that we will see many come to Christ in those Crusade and revival meetings. The Tent Revivals the last two summers have intensified my hunger for souls more than ever.

But my heart was captured in 2007 by the preachers as the Holy Ghost fell the first day of the Minister's Conference. I realized at that moment that God had given me an opportunity to reach multiplied thousands of people through those few hundred preachers.

Those men of God will minister to people I will never meet in places I will never have a chance to go. If I can inspire and equip them for service then many more souls can come to Christ than I can imagine.

Each time we go to Nigeria I pray that God will fall on the preachers and change their lives and ministries forever. Some of the men that will attend are working in areas where it is probably unsafe to do so.

They are on the front lines and are constantly in the enemy's crosshairs. They need all of the encouragement we can give. Pray that the Holy Ghost will saturate us in that conference.

Thank you for always lifting us up before God in prayer.

Special Friend - Ashlee Noe

Odie here and I decided to tell you about some of my awesome friends. Friends are gifts and blessings from God. I am blessed beyond measure.

When thinking of who to write about today. I thought of Ashlee Noe. Ashlee is no stranger to the blog. She is a wonderful mother to Kari and Malachi!!! www.kariandmalachi.blogspot.com

Ash and I can not remember when we first met. We were very young and probably started hanging out at Bond campmeeting. At first we did not think we would survive elementary school but we did. Then came junior high and soon we graduated high school.

In the "old days" we played games, laughed and dreamed of the days ahead. In no way could we have guessed what life had in store for us. There have been many twists and turns for both of us but God has been faithful.

Now we still do not know what the future holds but we know who holds our future. I thank God for Ashlee and the wonderful woman she has become. I praise God for allowing our paths to cross!!!
Love you Ashlee!!!!

German Sundaes For Odie's Birthday

The Pine Prairie church had a birthday cake for Odie at Sunday's Pastor Appreciation dinner. It was very nice of them to include Odie in the festivities. They also have her a gift.

But her birthday came and went with no sauerkraut and Odie has to have sauerkraut for her birthday.

So today Kelly Jo prepared German Sundaes to celebrate Odie's 27th birthday. They were so good as usual. We all love German Sundaes!

Odie was a happy camper and I was pretty happy myself. It was a great meal! Thanks Kelly Jo. I wish Odie had another birthday next week!

German Meets Cajun.

This is a fried boudin ball with sauerkraut on it. Wow! What a combination! Bro. Gautreaux's Dad brought the boudin balls to us and since we had the sauerkraut out it seemed like the thing to do. It was great.

Travel Day and Pine Prairie, Louisiana

After church Friday night we said goodbye to our friends in Tennessee and loaded up the Green Machine and scooted back to the campground. We loaded up, cranked up and were on the road again by 11:30.

It was a great night to drive and we made 280 miles to the Flying J in Bessemer, Alabama a few minutes before 4:00. It would have been nice to drive some more with so little traffic on the road but it was time for sleep.

We left Bessemer about 10:00 central Saturday morning and finished the drive to Pine Prairie, Louisiana. We washed the bugs off the front of the BoggsMobile, set up the sound system, visited with the Gautreaux's over some food and went to bed.

Yesterday was a great day. We honored Bro. and Sis. Gautreaux with a Pastor Appreciation service Sunday morning followed by a great Cajun meal! Can't get much better than that!

Sunday evening we kicked off revival with a great service and super altar service. We are expecting great things tonight and the rest of the week.

I hope you had a blessed weekend. Thanks for praying for us.

Beechfork Holiness Church - Revival In Pictures

It has been another wonderful week at Beechfork Holiness Church near Wartburg, Tennessee. My parents came down and attended four nights of revival with us. It was so good to have them here. We were able to spend some time with them during the day and having them in the services was really special.

We had another treat this week too. It was great to have the Millikin's join us on Thursday night as they were passing through on their way to Virginia for revival. They sacrificed a night off and drove quite a ways to be with us. They were a tremendous blessing in the service. The Beechfork folks loved them like I knew they would.

God blessed and helped every night this week and we are so very thankful for it. We appreciate Pastor Herman Woods and all of the fine folks at Beechfork for their gracious hospitality. We love you all so very much.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.
