Revival In Pictures Sebastopol, Mississippi

It has been another week and another revival. In fact, it has been another great week and another great revival. It has been wonderful! Praise God!

Our first visit to White Plains Holiness Assembly was in 2004, I think. Pastor R.G. Logan in Gainesville, Texas recommended us to his friends here and we enjoyed that first Sunday night visit very much. We left that night knowing we had found friends of our own.

A couple years later we came back for a weekend and we have been coming back nearly every year since then. These Godly people have become so dear to us through these many years. We have wept with them and they have wept with us. We have rejoiced with them and they have rejoiced with us.

We are so happy and blessed to call them friends. In acknowledging their friendship we must also ackowledge God's wonderful part in bringing fine people into our lives and knitting our hearts together with them. Wow! The Lord is mighty good to us.

He is good to us in that this same story has been played out over and over again in nearly every corner of the USA and in many places in Nigeria and other nations as well. We have been blessed to know and love and to be known and loved by precious Godly people! We are thankful for that!

Odie does her best to document some of that by bringing you Revival In Pictures every week. I can not even recall how many times I have been told that Revival In Pictures is the favorite part of Mile Makers. It makes us smile to hear that.

I hope you enjoy Revival In Pictures this week. Thank you for stopping by.

Re-Remembering Good Things

We have many fond memories of God's blessings during the shutdown and confusion of 2020 and during our seven months at home and all that came with it in 2021. We can trace the fingerprints of God's goodness toward us every single step of the way.

I like to think about it all. I love to reminisce of His tenderness to us and rehearse for Kelly Jo and Odie the way that God brought us through. We talk about it a lot and it shows up in my preaching when I am glorifying God. It is good stuff and I think I will remember it for many years to come.

Yet, there is a paradox in my mind. There are many events and happenings of 2020 and 2021 that are fuzzy in my memories. How can this be?

I am not ringing an alarm. I do not think there is something nefarious going on in my brain. I do think maybe that the stress of some of these times might have been weighing on me more than I realized.

Mile Markers serve as a journal for me personally and a record that we can look back and remember what has taken place in our family and in our ministry.

I told KJo last night, "I have discovered several well written Mile Markers on a variety of topics that I have no memory of assembling in my mind, writing or posting."

I have been scrolling through months of posts from the last two years and I am finding some events that have existed around the edges of my mind. Now I can see them clearly with the help of Mile Markers. I am also finding some interesting posts that I have no memory of writing.

A post that appears on Mile Markers in the morning before most people wake up, does not suddenly spring from my fingertips to the keyboard and out to the electrical interweb. It has usually percolated in my head for hours or days and then is painstakingly written and rewritten and rewritten until it is somewhat cohesive and readable.

How could I forget writing about some of those topics?

Rather than wallow in self doubt and sink into despair, I have been enjoying reading through 2020 and 2021 Mile Makers and refreshing my mind with events and interesting thoughts.😁

Some of the posts are pretty good. If I have trouble remembering that I wrote them, then it may also be true that many of you may not remember ever reading them. I may repost some of the Mile Markers that I am finding and hopefully they may stick this time.

Not today, I have written enough for today, but maybe soon. Thank you for stopping by today.

A Word For Wednesday What Do You Have To Offer The Lord and The People Around You?

It is time for A Word For Wednesday. A Few minutes ago, I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

What Do You Have To Offer The Lord and The People Around You?

D.L. Moody said, "Every Christian is a missionary or an imposter."
But most of us feel like we are not qualified to win souls. We need more talent, knowledge, personality and a thousand other things in order for God to use us.

George B. Duncan said, "God does not need much of a man to use him, but He needs all of that man."

You may feel inadequate for God's work, but IF you will surrender all of you, God can use you to win souls and do great things for His kingdom.

I hope you enjoy A Word For Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by.

My Valentine

KJo asked me again to be her Valentine yesterday and I accepted. Of course, she was buying All You Can Eat dry rub ribs at Sonny's BBQ, so I was kind of obligated. 😍😍

One thing about me though, once I accept a bribe, I stay bought. No changing sides for me!

I am so thankful to be married to this wonderful, beautiful, kind woman. Wow! What an amazing honor to walk through life alongside Kelly Jo. Yes, yes, yes, Kelly Jo, I will be your Valentine again and again!

Thank you, dear friends, for spending a few minutes with us today.
