Beechfork Holiness Church - Revival In Pictures

We had five great services this week with Pastor Herman Woods, Sis. Margaret Woods and all of our good friends at Beechfork Holiness Church. God really came near us a few services and blessed my family as well as the church folks. Thank God for His faithfulness. We never get tired of going to Beechfork and worshiping with our friends.

You may remember that Pastor Herman Woods suffered a stroke and quite a few health problems last year but God has helped him so much. We are continuing to pray for him and Sis. Margaret and the church but we are so thankful for what God has done.

We are in Pigeon Forge this morning for the beginning of the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference and we are excited about that. Tomorrow's post should be pictures from the first day of PFYC and today's post is a Revival In Pictures. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

God bless you and thanks for reading.

Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference Time

Hey friends, it is Odie writing today.  It is hard to believe that it is now time for PFYC 2015. It begins tomorrow morning at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. You still have time to join us tomorrow or Friday. Remember to check http://www.pfyconline.com for more information.

It is also not too early to start planning a trip for next year trip.

Every year that I have attended PFYC I have been blessed and encouraged.  The whole weekend was wonderful last year. Saturday afternoon especially the Lord met me in a very special way! I am coming this year anticipating and searching after a move of God.

I guarantee we will hear wonderful messages to challenge and uplift us. To me it amazing to gather with so many people to worship God. It is going to be a powerful and encouraging meeting.

We are looking forward to seeing many friends that we do not get to see very often. If you are at PFYC do not forget to smile. Your face very well could be on www.boggsblogs.com this weekend. Stay tuned for a PFYC 2015 update tomorrow.

100,000 Miles On The BoggsMobile

We bought the BoggsMobile in Sanford, Florida in March of 2008. We had been in touch with the dealership for a few months about the bus and they told us the week before that they were willing to consider the offer we had made months before.

We arrived to see it for the first time on Monday March 17, 2008. A friend had driven it for me and my Dad had looked it over and let us know it was very clean and seemed sound but we needed to see it for ourselves.

By that time we had looked at dozens of buses and we knew that pictures could be very, very deceiving. We spent a few hours looking it over and driving it and eventually made another offer that included some things we wanted repaired. They counter offered and we accepted it the next day.

By March the 21st they had the repairs completed and we had the money in place to make the deal. We signed the papers and spent about 8-10 hours trying to learn the systems of the bus. I was overwhelmed. It was like drinking from a fire hose.

This is where the 95/96 Prevost Vantare that became the BoggsMobile was sitting when we first laid eyes on it in Sanford, Florida at Florida Luxury Coach.

This is what the interior looked like. Now there is a bunk where the table and chairs were on the right, the barrel chairs are gone and the carpet has been replaced by engineered hardwood.

Dad and Mom came up to see us off and put the first 50 gallons of diesel in for us. March 21, 2008 was the first day I had ever seen diesel at $4 per gallon. OUCH!

My head was full of information and my heart was full of fear.

When we drove away from Sanford on March 21, 2008 the computer odometer was showing 184,479 miles.

Friday night March 21, 2015 when we left Moss Point, Mississippi  and drove 110 miles to a rest area on I-65 near Mile Marker 84 in Alabama. When I checked our mileage for my log book it was 284,473 miles.

It was exactly seven years after we first bought the bus and we were only six miles shy of putting 100,000 miles on the BoggsMobile. That is an average of just over 14,000 miles each year. That is not too bad for us compared to how many miles we used to drive.

Here it is at 284,473 miles.

Early Saturday we took these pictures as we rolled past the 100,000 mile mark.

We are thankful for 100,000 miles on the BoggsMobile and we are praying for many, many more happy and trouble free miles!
