First Night of Revival

We were able to have church last night at Junction Hill so revival is officially started. Bro. Galiher let everyone know we would be having church and told everyone to use their best judgment on whether or not to brave the cold weather. Although some understandably chose to stay in we did have a very good crowd. It was a long cold walk (roll for Odie) across the parking lot but we decided to go. I am so glad we did.

The Junction Hill folks are fine people and we always enjoy having revival here. They respond good even to not so good preaching and that is always a plus for me. We are anticipating some more good services this week.

In the mean time we have been eating good at Sis. Galiher's table. She is an excellent cook and we always anticipate her next creation in the kitchen. She had a new dessert for us to try the other day and I posted a couple of pictures that generated some interest and questions.

What is it? It is an apple pie in an iron skillet. It was Sis. Galiher's first time preparing it and I am here to testify with my right hand raised up high in the air that it was fantabulous! We are definitely eating our way through another revival in the brand new year!

Here are a few more pictures from our day here at Junction Hill Pentecostal Church in West Plains, Missouri. I am quite sure we will try to have more news and pictures from here before the week is over.

I hope you all are doing well.

Bro. Ray Riggs posted pictures of some cookies he had made recently from his Grandmother's recipe and he graciously saved a few for us. Wow! Thanks, Bro. Ray

The temps are on their way up but first we had to have one more dip into the negative.

Hank, Weather and My Next Bus

Not much going on today but trying to keep warm and keep the water running. I am not very successful today at either one. I did slip outside to start the Green Machine and let it warm up a few minutes. While I was out Hank the church dog was too so we bonded for a few little while and then I took some pictures. I wish I could show you how happy he is when somebody is giving him a good rub. Hank is a great dog.

As you can see from Hank's pictures we do have some sunshine today. It is weird to be outside in -22 wind chill and watch the ice melt off the BoggsMobile in the sun.

It was 7 last night.

-2 real temperature with -22 wind chill late this morning.

But -2 is much better than Devils Lake, North Dakota where we spent several days in July. Real temperature was -24 a little while ago with a wind chill of -53! I say it is a good day to be in Missouri a little closer to 0!

I did spot a picture of my next bus!

That is One Sweet Ride!

That is all we have for today. Tune in next time to see if I can talk Odie into licking the front of the BoggsMobile.

Chillin' In West Plains, Missouri

What a difference a few hours makes. This is Saturday evening.

This is Sunday morning...

Here are a few more pictures from the weekend.

Sunday morning after I had swept some of the snow away so I could walk around the bus.

Here are a few pictures from Sunday evening.

The wind is blowing over 20 mph and it is still moving the snow around quite a bit. We are at 15 degrees right now and headed down to minus 1 overnight according to the latest forecast from the weather guessers. I just happen to believe them this time!

It is way too cold and nasty to ask folks to get out and come to church so no services today at Junction Hill or any other church in the area for that matter. It is just to dangerous to get out. The high Monday is forecast for 9 degrees. So far nothing has frozen on the BoggsMobile and we are thankful for that.

We are having a great time with the Galiher's even if we have not been able to have church. We love being around them any time so we are just "chillin" the time away. There are worse places to be stuck than with super friends, warm surroundings and lots of food!

Stay warm.
