Tanner Williams Holiness Church

We are having a great time with Apostle Donald C. Williamson and his church this week. Every service has been great and they have been responding to the Spirit of the Lord. The service was especially good last night as God moved among us. We are expecting another good service tonight and a great Homecoming on Sunday.

The folks have fed us well as they always do. For some "unknown" reason it happens every where we go. It might be that I talk about food a lot or it looks like I know a lot about food. But whatever the reason I am not complaining at all. It is wonderful. One sister brought shrimp gumbo for lunch Wedneday and it was delicious. After church Kelly Jo warmed it up and it was even better! I mean WAY better! Wow! It was worth putting in your mouth!

We plan to try the Boiling Pot again today for lunch. I may try something different. I will let you know how it goes. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Blue Ox Base Plate

I installed the Blue Ox Base Plate on the Denali yesterday and today. The Base Plate allows me to hook up the tow bar that is attached to the BoggsMobile. I needed to get it on this week since I'm leaving the trailer in the south. If I had no way to pull the Denali then Kelly Jo would have to follow me. That would not be good. No sense putting her through it or buying the gas.

The Base Plate actually went on pretty easy considering how mechanically UN-inclined I am. I know God helped me. I had to buy a drill bit, an odd sized wrench and a small tube of red Loc-tite and still saved at least $200.

I will try it out on the short trip to Richton, Mississippi on Monday to make sure it is ready for a big jump the next Saturday. Once I hook the lights up we will be ready to roll. I'll try to get that finished next week.

Into the Jungle

First of all, I want to wish my brother Tommy a Happy Birthday today! Have a great Birthday, Tommy!

There is a blog I have been reading for a year or so that I think some of you may find interesting. He only posts about 3-5 times a month but I always look forward to his pictures and the what he has to say. His name is Dave and he is a missionary pilot and mechanic with MAF International (Mission Aviation Fellowship,) serving in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. He serves there with his wife and five children.

Although he is a pilot and normally flies OVER the jungle, Dave and his coworker take an annual hike for a week or two THROUGH the jungle with local guides. This year's trip was their most ambitious. They hiked through areas where it is likely men have not been for many years if ever. Of their three guides only one of them had ever been in any of the remote area they were hiking through. He tells about it in three posts. It is really amazing. Kelly Jo and I loved the posts and the awesome pictures. I believe you may like them as well. Below are links to the three posts. Let us know what you think...
