Ellisville, Mississippi, Pastor Kenny Morris

Wow! We are off to a great start in revival at Ellisville, Mississippi! Each service has been wonderful and last night was no exception. We have had great conviction in several services, similar to some of the services last week at Midway and last night the Holy Ghost fell and folks were filled and refilled in the altars.

Last night was extra special because Pastor Tracy Boyd and his wife and girls (Dayla, Darah, & Kaylee) drove down from Sterlington, Louisiana to be in service with us. Sis. Shea and their girls sang during the service and then also carried the much of the singing during the altar service. It was so good to have them. They were, as always, a tremendous blessing! They have a wonderful CD and HERE is the link for more information.

I noticed as I was pulling this post together that I have neglected to get any pictures of the church and Pastor Kenny Morris so we will try to get some up later in the week. Please continue to pray for us that God will use us as an instrument for revival in these last days.

Singing at Flat Branch Assembly, Pastor Jim Koen

Saturday night we had a great singing at Flat Branch Assembly near Millry, Alabama.  We had a good crowd from the surrounding churches and a wonderful service. Pastor Jim Koen and his church received us with open arms and we enjoyed their warm hospitality. It was our first time at their church and we look forward to returning.

Kelly Jo snapped just a few pictures as the folks were coming in. You can see them below.

We started at Ellisville, Mississippi yesterday and God covered that place up in the altar services. We are praising God for His help. We will have more to report with pictures as well in the coming days.

God bless,
Davy

Midway Assembly near St. Stephens, Alabama

We have had a wonderful week near St. Stephens, Alabama. Midway Assembly is out in the woods with not much to do besides work, eat, fellowship and have revival and we have been doing plenty of at least three of those things. Each service was very good and the altar services were exceptional. We are praising God for each one that was saved and each one that was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Tonight (I am writing this late Friday night) conviction was so strong in the service. It was unusually strong. Several responded to the altar but the Holy Ghost tarried for quite a long time dealing with lost individuals. I am saddened that some did not respond but I am thankful for conviction and for those that did respond.

Pastor Lamar Chapman and his family have embraced us and treated us so well. It has been a great joy to fellowship with them this week, eat at Sis. Chapman's table and get to know them better. We have had a wonderful time! In fact, it has been so good that we really do hate to leave.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will move to the other side of Millry, Alabama for a Singing at Flat Branch Assembly and then on to Ellisville, Mississippi to start revival Sunday morning. Please keep us in your prayers.

The BoggsMobile Hitch Saga

This is part two of The BoggsMobile Hitch Saga. For part one click HERE. We discovered that some of the welds were broken on the way from Purcell, Oklahoma and Richton, Mississippi. They had probably been broken since before we owned it but we discovered it by pulling a trailer rather than Mr. Cheap Jeep. It needed to be completely re-welded.

As we began to inquire about what would have to be unhooked on the BoggsMobile before we welded on it the news went from bad to worse. Prevost said that not only would the batteries have to be unhooked but at least 12 modules all over the bus would have to be disconnected. That meant making a trip to Nashville or find some one else qualified to do it who would also assume liability if something went wrong.

I decided to take the bumper assembly off myself to see whatever there was to see. I found to my surprise that I could remove both parts of the hitch with 8 bolts. Soon I had the whole thing in my hand.

You can see below how poorly the hitch was "fixed" some time in the past before I owned the BoggsMobile. It was an awful mess.

One of the Brothers in the church at Richton highly recommended a welding shop and a particular welder named Perry. He came by to look at it and asked me to bring all the parts of the hitch and the bus to their shop the next day. I backed it in and Perry went to work.

Perry and another man named Monte lined it all up and welded it better than new, reinforcing it on top and bottom.  Then Monte and I put it back on the bus with new bolts and nuts and it was ready to go.

I painted all the welds with engine compartment paint and then painted the receiver black.

I put all the trim and the bumper back on and now it is as good as new.

I want to thank Bro. Scott Morris and his church for their encouragement and help. They were a great blessing. Perry and Monte from Sam's Welding did a great job and I appreciate them as well. I praise God for pulling it all together, guiding my steps and calming my nerves all the way through. This whole saga could have cost many hundreds of dollars but I am back on the road with a little inconvenience, some skinned knuckles and very little money spent. Praise God. Also, Bro. Larry Landress, Bro. Chris Whiffen and Bro. John Eaton guided me through the ins and outs, ups and downs of welding and Ben Isaacs advised me on the bus side of things.  I praise God for the men He has placed in my life to help me. I could not make it without them.

Bro. Don Tabor was on his way to Allentown from Missouri so I paid him to pull my trailer from Sterlington, Louisiana to Richton, Mississippi. That was a great blessing to me as well.  It cost me some money but saved me over 10 hours driving plus wear and tear. I think it was great trade.

There you have it, The BoggsMobile Hitch Saga. It is another example of the faithfulness of God in our lives. We could have lost the Jeep sometime in the past or lost the trailer and the jeep the first time we pulled it. We could have killed somebody behind us but God watched us and helped us. He sent us to the right places at the right times. He provided the finance needed and the right people to help us and advise us. I certainly do not understand God's ways but I know that He Knows what is best. Praise His Holy Name!

God Bless,
Davy

Smokin Odie's BBQ Discount

Back in January while in Miami, Oklahoma, I posted about Smokin Odie's BBQ. We went in because of the name (Our daughters name is also Odie) but we will go back in the future because the food and lunch prices were awesome. It was really that good.

Friday morning the owner of Smokin Odie's BBQ, Mr. Ottis Bailey, posted a comment on that post. I was floored! Out of all the posts I have put up about food we have eaten this is the first time I have had a response from a restaurant owner. I think it is so cool. He left a very gracious comment and I appreciate it very much.

It is also cool that Mr. Bailey is offering a discount to all of our readers that come in and mention our blog. Isn't that great? I encourage everyone any where near Miami, Oklahoma to stop in and tell them we sent you from Boggsblogs! Smokin Odie's BBQ is just a few miles off of I-44 so make plans to stop in as you are passing through as well.

You can read the original post with his comment and also find the details on the discount he is offering by following the link below.

God bless,
