Foley, Alabama - Revival In Pictures

Wow! What a week in Foley, Alabama! We are having a wonderful time with Pastor Eddy Sullivan and the great folks at Bibleway Assembly. We had a tremendous time during our first revival here last year but this year may be even better.

We have been blessed with some visitors too. Pastor Tim Cauley has driven two nights from Moss Point, Mississippi and Bro. Farrell Stearnes from Pensacola has been here two nights as well. They blessed the services by coming and we were also blessed by others visiting.

We have one more night of revival before we move west toward Texas. Come be with us if you are in this area and can shake free. We would love to see you.

Now it is time for Revival In Pictures. Thank you for reading.

A Beautiful Remodel - Trinity Pentecostal Church Central City, KY

I visited a church website the other day. The church is Trinity Pentecostal Church near Central City, Kentucky. We have been to Central City many times for revivals and we dearly love Pastor Alan Harris and all of his great folks. We were most recently there for revival last year in April.

If I remember correctly we closed revival on Friday and Easter was on Sunday. Once Easter was over the church was going through a major remodel. I intended then to show you pictures of the progress and I may have shown a few. However, I became side tracked by building house and life in general and I dropped the ball.

The remodel went very well and the church is absolutely beautiful. I was happy to see all the pictures on their website and I want to share them with you.

Here are a few pictures of our revival the week before the remodel began.

They had already sold some of their pews in anticipation of the remodel. They were using some of their white fiberglass chairs from the fellowship hall.

I took these pictures from their website. They stripped the walls down to the bones.

Here are a few of the nearly finished project. I think the new look is beautiful!

These came from the dedication services.

You can see all of the pictures from beginning to end HERE, HERE and HERE.

We will be back at Trinity Pentecostal in September and we are looking forward to seeing the church in person and having revival among our friends in Central City. It may seem like a long time between February 1st and September 2nd but it will be here before we know it.

We love you Alan Harris and we will be there soon!

Thank you for dropping by today.

Vintage View Vednesday Haines City 2007

Hey! We started January 2018 only a few days ago! How in the world is it already January 31st?

Last week's Vintage View was from Pine Prairie, Louisiana in January 2009. That post had a great big bunch of pictures but most of these Vintage View posts will not be so large. We were not posting pictures on a regular basis then, plus we were not all carrying smart phones during the early years. Most churches we snapped 10-12 pictures with Odie's camera.

This week's pictures were taken at Lighthouse Holiness Church in Haines City, Florida in August 2007. Bro. and Sis. Whiffen are some of our oldest and dearest friends. We had met them before but we began to draw closer together in the fall of 1991 when we spent a month in their town and several more weeks preaching for other churches in their fellowship.

We were evangelizing and their Pastor asked us to take care of his church for a month during his first trip to the former Soviet Union. It was a great month and we came away with some life long friends.

In the next few years the Whiffen family became very dear to us and we have cherished their friendship all of this time. We are very thankful that God brought them into our lives.

In 1994 the Whiffen's were living in Ohio. Bro. Whiffen acknowledged his call to preach, packed up his family and moved back to Florida. By the summer of 1995 he had started Lighthouse of Holiness and has been pastoring since then. We have enjoyed a long and blessed relationship with the Whiffens, their family and their church.

Here is a look back to August 2007.

Thank you for stopping in today.
