Pine Prairie, Louisiana - Revival In Pictures

We are having a wonderful time at Christian Tabernacle in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. Pastor Barry Gautreaux and his folks have been having revival and have allowed us to get right up in the middle of it. It has been awesome. Every service has been tremendous and we are anticipating the last service tonight to be just as good. I know that a lot of you ask God to help us every week and we really appreciate it.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful most of the week. I can handle 73 degrees in January.

It rained most of the day Thursday and then most of the night last night. The temperature dropped a bunch while it was raining but it is still above freezing so that works for January too.

The weather guessers are guessing it will be very nice here next week and in Alabama where we are heading. I am thankful for every bit of it.

Thanks for checking in today. Here is the Revival In Pictures.

The outside is virtually completed. It looks great.

Sis. Stephanie Conner had a birthday while she was here in Louisiana with us.

She was thinking about acting her age but changed her mind at the last minute!

The weather has been beautiful although it did set into raining Thursday.

I Wanna Be There - The Isaacs

I have posted about this before but the song I Wanna Be There is still climbing the Singing News charts and we would love to see it go even higher. The Isaacs sang it Sunday night in Haughton, Louisiana. It was just one of the amazing songs in a whole evening of amazing songs but it was pretty special for us.

We first told you about I Wanna Be There back in September of 2013. The song is on the Isaacs' latest CD The Living Years. It was written by Jimmy Yeary, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman. The first verse is written about Gordon Mote and the second verse is about Odie.

It is an awesome song about folks receiving their miracle in Heaven IF they do not receive them here and I wanna be there when they do receive it. I wanna be there when the blind man sees for the first time. I wanna be there when the crippled girl runs for the first time.

The Isaacs and their label have released the song as a single to radio and it is climbing the Singing News Gospel Charts. The label is making a push for the song and we would love to see it go higher. It will be number 11 in a future issue and their label thinks it still has potential to climb.

If you have a southern gospel station call them or drop them an email and tell them you appreciate the song. If you listen on XM send Enlighten an email and thank them for playing it too.

Hey, if you see the Isaacs in person let them know you love them loving on Odie with that song. God knows how we desire the miracle for Odie. One of these days We Will Receive it!

We have heard the Isaacs do it live a few times but we have never been able to get a good recording of it. We could have recorded it Sunday night but we were enjoying it way to much to pull out a phone. Here is a YouTube clip of the album version. If you know Odie, I dare you to listen to it without tears.

Here is a live version filmed by a fan from the crowd at a past concert.

On The Road Again Newsletter January 2015

Odie's On The Road Again newsletter went out in the mail Saturday the 17th and should start arriving today. It is dated the 15th but we received it a day late from the printer. Odie stayed up most of the night Friday night to get it ready to mail.

Here is a scan of it. You should be able to click on it and make it big enough to read. I have never figured out how to post or link to a PDF

Our schedule is part of the newsletter but if you would like to see our full schedule you can see it HERE or click on the link on the left of the page.

Special Times On Sunday and Monday

We are having a great time in Louisiana this week. We are having fun with Bro. and Sis. Gautreaux and all of their church folks. We are eating well and laughing until we hurt pretty often.

Also Pastor Nathan Conner and his family are here visiting from Tulsa for a few days this week. We do not have any pictures of their whole family yet but we did have some mixed in with the Christian Tabernacle bunch in yesterday's post.

Monday night service at Pine Prairie was awesome! God was moving and saving and we were enjoying every moment of it. There is no telling what God is going to do the rest of this week.

I mentioned in Sunday's post that we had three special treats on schedule for Sunday. The first treat was Homecoming service at Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle with Pastor Barry Gautreaux and all of our friends here.

It sure was a treat. The service was wonderful from the very beginning. God touched Bro. Gautreaux and his folks along with our family and other visitors. It was really great. Sunday and Monday's services really make me look forward to revival this week in Pine Prairie.

The second treat was the Homecoming meal. It was just as good as expected! Somebody brought some enchilada soup that was absolutely the very best I have ever had. Wow! It old you it was going to be good. I know these people can cook!

The third treat of the day was getting to visit with the Isaacs and hear them sing. What a treat it was too!

Since Sunday was Homecoming in Pine Prairie, there was no service scheduled for Sunday night. After a nice dinner and about 2 hours of fellowship we jumped in the Green Machine and moseyed toward Haughton, Lousisana to Central Assembly of God. The Isaacs were singing there and we were not about to sit around in the bus all evening and miss that.

We arrived just before starting time and sat down to listen to about 2 1/2 hours of awesome music and singing. It was tremendous!

Afterward we enjoyed a great visit with family and some new friends.

It was a great night and I am so glad we were free to enjoy it. I know that Odie took several pictures with her good camera so maybe she can post those Saturday and tell you all a little more about the evening.

Thanks for reading.
