Get Ready for Christmas

Next week is Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it. What? Christmas already? Lo and Behold we happen to have just the thing you need to put you and your family in the proper Christmas spirit.

These things make great stocking stuffers especially if you have square feet. I hope you will order several hundred copies for all of your closest friends, neighbors and strangers at Walmart.

You can order our Christmas themed CD online HERE. Help us out because it would be really awesome to move a few million hundred of these in the next few weeks.

The CD's title is He Came - The Gospel of Christmas. We recorded 9 tracks. It has 8 songs and a short gospel sermon. I have described it as a CD with a Christmas theme rather than a pure Christmas CD.

Here is the song list.

I Could Not Come To You

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen - Instrumental

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
(Yes, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" is on there twice. Once as and instrumental and once with vocals. There is a small story behind that and  I share it on the liner notes)

Until He Came

Three Faithful Heralds

Long Time Comin'

Getting Ready For A Baby

He Came - The Gospel of Christmas - Sermon
He Came To Me

Happy Birthday, Boggsblogs!

Odie reminded me that Boggsblogs.com has a birthday in November. On the 7th it turned 4 years old. We originally started the blog to be able to post pictures directly from Nigeria during our trip in 2009.

We had not been able to post to our website while we were in Nigeria in 2007 so we decided to try the blog. It worked so well that we eventually moved our Mile Marker posts from our website to here and the rest is history! Since then we have posted almost 1300 times.

I have re-posted our very first test post below. It was a only test post but it was a tasty one!

Trying this out for the first time.  I couldn't think of a better way to get started than to post a picture of a GREAT hamburger.  You'll find this at a regional chain in the Tulsa, OK area called Ron's.  They have great food and I am a complete fan.  I've tried several but my favorite is the Double Big Daddy!  It has Two 1/2 pound patties, Three Pieces of cheese, Onions, Grilled Onions, Ketchup and Mustard.  It is Awesome!  The patties on this monster are thin like "Steak and Shake" but Ron's leaves the grease in and you can't make it to greasy for me.  That's my Motto: Greasy and Cheesy!  Hope you enjoy the Picture!  I sure enjoyed eating The Double Big Daddy!

Travel Day, Church and Storms

We left the Walmart Sunday morning and headed north toward Hokes Bluff, Alabama.

We arrived at Trinity Holiness Church near Hokes Bluff about 1:30 and by 2:30 we were parked and setting up. We will be doing the special singing for their meeting here starting Wednesday but we are preaching about 25 minutes away until then.

By the time we were set up it was time to get ready for church. Church started Sunday night at 5:30. We made it in plenty of time and had a great service with our friends. Although we have known most of the people at Liberty Holiness Church in Glencoe, Alabama for several years this is our first visit with them.

We have known Pastor David Noe and his wife Sis. Karen since we first got acquainted with the Bond, Kentucky church over 25 years ago. They pastored in Danville, Kentucky for several years and have been here for nearly two years I believe. It is great to be with them for a few nights.

We will be at Liberty Monday and Tuesday and then we will get to see most of these folks at Trinity's meeting later in the week as well. It should be a great week.

Some of our friends were directly affected by the storms that blew through the mid-west Sunday afternoon. You may remember that we set up the tent for revival the week of July 4th in Washington, Illinois. Pastor Nathaniel Green invited us to Washington and it was a blessing to be with them in tent revival.

This morning while they were in church a tornado struck Washington and actually hit their church. Thankfully nobody was severely hurt inside the church although their church building does have heavy damage. There were reports of casualties elsewhere in Washington.

These pictures were sent to us from Bro. Green and others at the church. You can see the roof is gone off the back of the church where the evangelist quarters was.

This is an aerial photo of Washington from the internet.

And here are a few pictures with the church in the background during tent revival in July.

Please pray for all those affected by the storms. God bless you all.

Acapulco and a Long Travel Day

We receive text messages with pictures of food almost every day. Somebody, somewhere in the USA is always eating something I love or in some restaurant I have raved about on this blog. They send pictures to let me know they are enjoying my favorite foods and I always appreciate the pictures.

Folks from home are usually sending pictures from my favorite little Mexican place near home. I have written about Acapulco and posted pictures a TIME OR TWO over the last few years. It has been a few months since we have been there so it was nice to get a few pictures from there this week.

The food looks so good I thought I would share with you.

See! I told you the salsa at Acapulco is good enough to drink!

Today was a pretty long travel day for us. We started this morning in Haines City, Florida and we are now parked in a Walmart north of Montgomery, Alabama. Along the way we fueled up in Dothan and picked up the tent trailer north of Dothan where it was parked at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church. I appreciate Pastor Dewayne Watson and his folks for allowing us to park it there for a week. They also helped me hook it up and load the car. God bless you all.

Kelly Jo and Odie ran into Walmart to pay the rent on our spot for the night by buying some groceries. They are back in the bus now and we are getting ready to eat a bite before bed. Bed time will come early for me and then we will finish the drive tomorrow morning. We should be able to finish up in less than 3 hours.

I hope you all have a good Sunday.

Revival In Pictures - Haines City, Florida

It is Friday and we have one more night of revival but I thought I had better post these pictures now. We will be up late tonight and then hope to leave early Saturday with a long travel day in front of us. Who knows if I will have time or inclination Saturday night to put this post together so I am doing it now.

We have had a wonderful week at Lighthouse of Holiness. The youth services Wednesday and Thursday have been a great compliment to the revival and Bro. Jon Isaacs and Bro. Dewayne Watson have preached tremendous. It has been a privilege for us to get to work together with these two fine men. God has used them to speak to the young folks and the not so young. Bro. Isaacs will be preaching youth service again tonight.

We certainly appreciate the invitation from Pastor Chris Whiffen to be here. We have enjoyed ourselves so much. May God bless all of these folks for their kindness and hospitality.

As I usually do in these "Revival In Pictures" posts I will allow the pictures to tell the rest of the story. Thanks for reading.
