Prayer Request - Marty Millikin

We are having a good time at Lighthouse of Holiness in Haines City, Florida. Wednesday night's service was very good. Pastor Dewayne Watson and his family are here and Bro. Watson preached a youth service at 6:00. Pastor Jon Isaacs and his family are here too and Bro. Isaacs will be preaching youth service tonight. It is so great to have them all join us in revival.

We are taking pictures each night and I will post them in the next day or two. Although it was cooler and very windy Wednesday it is beautiful today. Much, much, much better temperatures than it is north of here. Makes me dread heading north this Saturday.

My main reason for writing today is to ask you all to pray for the Millikin family in Oklahoma. It is so heart wrenching to watch our friends go through pain and suffering. As you know Bro. Marty and his mother have been battling cancer this year. Bro. Marty is not doing well at all. The doctors have done all they know to do and are giving him very little hope of survival. Bro. Marty needs a miracle to live.

We understand that life is only temporary. We are all making our way toward our last appointments of death and judgement. We will every one walk that path. Life is really so small and unimportant in the grand scheme of things. God's plan for us in eternity is infinitely more beautiful than the life we have here in our frail human bodies. Yet life here is all we are familiar with. It is all we know.

So we cling to life and we cling to those we love. It is only natural. Bro. Marty is clinging to life. His precious family, the Claremore church and all of his friends are clinging to him. They and we are doing absolutely everything to keep Marty here. But we know that life and death is ultimately in the hands of God. God is in full control of this and every situation.

Therefore we are asking God for a miracle. We want Bro. Marty to live strong and healthy. We want him to raise up and live for God and bless God's people for many, many years. That is what we are asking God for. We desire to have Bro. Marty healed here as a testimony to God. Ultimately we are asking for God's perfect will.

Will you join us in prayer. Pray for Bro. Marty Millikin, his parents Bro. and Sis. Millikin and his brother Bro. Jimmy and Sis. Shauna Millikin. Thank you for your faithfulness to pray.

Pictures, Video Clips and Thanks From Nigeria

We have a few more pictures from Nigeria and some clips that Kelly Jo recorded. Some of that is below in this post. Also I am including an email that Bro. Shobanke sent to thank us and all of you that send us to them. Your gift no matter how small is very beneficial to Bro. Shobanke and his people. Most of you that give wish to remain anonymous but God is faithful to remember your labor of love. God bless you for it.

Greetings in Jesus name.

How are you and your family? This is to express my appreciation to you, your family, ministry and all that send you to us. Thank you for being with us in the Dedication service of our new church last week. Thank you for your financial and sacrificial support. Our church and people really appreciate you and your wife.

I also appreciate the people and churches in the USA for their sacrificial giving which has made my vision of the planting of the new branch church a reality. Thank you for your gift, offering, support for my daughters salary as the run the GoodNews Christian School and the offering to purchase more chairs for Osara Rd. church.

I appreciate you for everything God had been doing through you since we met. We are praying for you and your family.

Thanks

Yours in Christ.

Pastor. E.Ade.Shobanke

At the end of the dedication service we presented a plaque and small gift to Bro. Shobanke and the Pastor and assistant Pastor of the new church, Bro. Pasu and Bro. Moses.

The Most Important Veteran To Me

First of all may God bless and help every veteran of the United States Armed Services today! Thank you very much for your service to our country and for the securing and maintaining of our freedom. Freedom is never free and our family appreciates your contribution.

We have been blessed to meet many, many men that have served our nation with distinction. Our Pastor Bennie D. Sutherland, my sister's husband, Jay Osborn along with many preachers and church members that we come to know in our travels placed their lives on the line in order to defend us. These men have left a deep impression on our lives and we thank God for every one of them.

However, the most important veteran in my life is my Dad, Eugene Boggs.

Dad served in the navy for four years in the early 1960's just before I discovered America. Thank you Dad for your service to our nation. I am thankful you served and also thankful that God preserved your life to come back home to our family. You are my hero and the hero of my little girl and your first grandchild. We could not be more proud of you and thankful for you.

Take some time to thank a veteran today.

Homecoming Revival in Pictures - Haines City , Florida

Today was a great day in Haines City, Florida. The weather was absolutely perfect, the services were great and the Homecoming meal was outstanding. It does not get much better than that. It is so good to be back with Pastor Chris Whiffen and his family and the Lighthouse of Holiness Church.

I am sure I will have more to say later in the week but now it is late and I am feeling the effects of the of the whole weekend. My pillow is calling my name. I will allow the pictures to tell the rest of the story. Many of you will recognize some of the faces below because not everyone pictured is from Florida.

God bless you all.
