What An Excuse

Kelly Jo and I are about to see the light of day with this flu or cold or whatever we have had the last week. Praise God we are about to feel human again. I appreciate Odie for blogging a little for me while I have been under the weather.

I took the picture above at a gas station in Richton, Mississippi on Friday. I have seen lots of reasons posted why they want you to prepay but this one takes the cake.

We are not worried about losing money, No, we are concerned only with safety. That is hilarious!

I will try to put up a longer post tonight with some food and revival pictures.

National Single Awareness Day

I hope all of you had a great Valentines Day!!! I like to quote my friend Amber Galiher and call it "National Single Awareness Day."

Thursday was a pretty quiet day around the BoggsMobile. We moved about 30 miles to Richton, Mississippi. I think Dad could get use to moving days that short. We are looking forward to being here with our friends at First Assembly starting Sunday. Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim Morris and all the folks treat us so good. It is nice to be here a little early so we can visit some.

Thanks again to Pastor Jason Merritt and everyone at Little Rock Assembly. We enjoyed getting better acquainted with you all this week. God is really moving for their church. Several have been saved recently. I think five were saved and two were filled with the Holy Ghost during revival and several were saved in the last few weeks.

Mom and Dad are still trying to recuperate from their sickness. I know they are ready to feel better. I am very ready for them to be back to singing. I never remember them being this sick and especially both at the same time. Please keep them in your prayers.

I can not leave you with out a picture today. Most of you know the craziness of my mother. I was looking back through my phone for pictures and I found a real crazy one. A few weeks ago she was looking for a new way to wear her scarf and this is what she found.

You think she is setting a new trend?

She cracks me up constantly!!!! I do not know what I would do with out her. Love you Mom!!!!!!

Family Scrapbook

Several years ago my Aunt Kim gave me a scrapbook for Christmas. It had 2 pages when she started it. Each Christmas I get 2 or 3 more pages to add.

It is always fun to look back over the fun memories we have as a family. I love this gift and always look forward to adding my pages each Christmas

The other day I was looking at my book and I decided to take a few pics to share with you all. Aunt Kim now does this for all the grandchildren. I wish I had pics of everybody's books.

Revival In Pictures - Waynesboro, Mississippi

We have been having revival through sickness, thunder storms, floods and even tornadoes. One family in the church had severe damage to their house and very nearly lost their lives. I am sure it is one of the hardest things they have ever been through. But their daughter and son in law that rode out the storm with them came to church and gave their hearts to Christ the next night. Praise God! Trust me, that Mom and Dad were shouting the victory that night in spite of the havoc of the storm.

There is a lot of misery down here in Mississippi right now with the floods and tornadoes but as of right now there have been no deaths from the storms. As I just told you there have been at least two saved because of the storms so we praise God even in the midst of things we do not understand! No deaths and at least two with eternal life! Not too bad!

I found out just about the time I called people into the altar Sunday night that there was a tornado on the ground very near the church. I could just imagine the BoggsMobile being tossed around like a toy in the parking lot smashing everybody's cars. But we put all of that in God's hands a long time ago. Everything we "own" belongs to God, right? If he allows "our belongings" to be destroyed in a tornado then he is allowing it to happen to HIS own stuff. God knows what He is doing, I do not have a clue and I take comfort from that.

We are very thankful that things are no worse than they are. We are very thankful there were not more injuries. We are very thankful that we did not experience any damage personally. We are very thankful that God is using hurt to bring blessing. There are always many things to be thankful for!

Thank you for praying for me and Kelly Jo. We are gaining every day. I sure am glad that I usually stop every day and thank God for good heath and abundant strength and a strong voice. Since I have been thankful in the past, I do not feel near as bad when I beg him to help when I am as weak as water. Thank God he knows my frame and remembers that I am dust! He knows how to help right on time.

Praise God for the good revival. Pastor Jason Merritt and his folks have been having church whether we help or not. I told them that they do not need me. They just brought me here in order to have an excuse to have revival! It has been great. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

God bless,

Davy
