Who Did I Miss??

I saw this HERE today and thought it was good enough to pass along... Davy

I just received my tax return for 2011 back from the IRS and it puzzles me!!! They are questioning how many dependents I claimed. I guess it was because of my response to the question: “List all dependents?”

I replied: 12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million unemployed people on food stamps, 2 million people in over 243 prisons; Half of Mexico; and 535 persons in the U.S. House and Senate.”

Evidently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

I KEEP ASKING MYSELF, WHOM DID I MISS?

Dryden Rd. Indoor Fellowship Meeting

Tent Revival services have been good every night. We have had pastors and church folks from the area churches every night. Their visits are encouraging and we appreciate it very much.

Tonight (Wednesday) most of the area churches have service so the fellowship was thin. We did have a very special pastor visiting tonight though.

Our pastor Bro. Bennie Sutherland drove all the way over from Dayton, Ohio for the service. He brought Sis. Sutherland along and one of his granddaughters, Jacqueline as well.

It was a real treat to have them with us. One of the drawbacks of living on the road as we do is not being able to attend our home church every week and not getting to hear Bro. Bennie preach.

We love our home church and we love our pastor and his family. We are so thankful they took the time to come over tonight.

Speaking of our home church, our Indoor Fellowship meeting is just around the corner. It is scheduled for August 21-24.

It will begin on Tuesday night and go through Friday night. Bro. Shad McDonald will be the night speaker.

The day services are Wednesday through Friday. Bro. Dwain Galiher will be preaching in the 10:00 service.

They will be serving breakfast and lunch and then refreshments after church at night. Trust me, the gravy at breakfast is worth the trip.

We always have good services during the meeting and I know this year will be no different. I encourage you to make plans to attend.

It is held at Dryden Rd. Pentecostal Church at 3201 Dryden Rd. Dayton, Ohio. We would love to see you there.

Thanks for your continued prayers. It is storming here tonight so I am at the tent. They need the rain so I am not complaining.

Back in White Castle Country

It is good to be Back in White Castle Country. In fact there is one right here in New Castle, Indiana pretty close to the church.

Bro. and Sis. Hisle took us there Saturday after the tent was set up and we enjoyed it very much as usual.

I know a bunch of folks just do not understand a White Castle craving but that's OK. I guess it is something you either love or hate. We happen to love them!

It would definitely be dangerous for me to live this close to one all the time.

Hope you all are having a good week. God is blessing each night under the tent. We are praying for souls to be saved from this neighborhood.

First Night of Tent Revival in New Castle, Indiana

Here are a few pictures from the first night of Tent Revival in New Castle, Indiana. I will have to post details later.

It is late Sunday night, it has been a long few days and I am beat. I must be a wimp.

Service was great though. Pray that God will send us souls.

The Tent is Up in New Castle, Indiana

The tent is up in New Castle, Indiana. Pastor Brian Hisle and his family and church joined us in working hard to put up the tent Saturday morning.

They had to trim a tree but we got it up in the parking lot with inches to spare. The weather was great and looks to be pretty good all week.

The revival is scheduled to start tonight and go through Friday. We are expecting super services. Please pray that God will help us.

Enjoy the pictures.

Travel Day - Wichita, Kansas to New Castle, Indiana

The last night of revival certainly ended with a bang at Bethany Revival Center. We had four women in the altar seeking God for salvation! It was awesome.

In fact the service was good in every respect. The crowd was great, the response was great and the results were great! It was a wonderful way to end revival.

Bro. and Sis. Fellers surprised us and came over from Weir, Kansas. It was super great to have them. It was also good to have the Walker family from New Horizon Church. They have been dear friends to us.

We had several other visitors from area churches as well. Everybody jumped right in and worshiped the Lord and had church.

As soon as service was over we started loading things up and moved out as quick as possible. We swung by New Horizon to pick up the tent trailer and finally pulled out of Wichita about 10:20.

We has a good night of driving and stopped at the Flying J near Granite City, Illinois about 5:50 in the morning. I was in bed by 6:30 and I really slept good.

We have parked at that Flying J several times and there has always been plenty of room. This time the RV area was full of semi trucks without trailers. It was like they were having a bobtail convention. They were still there in the afternoon.

The truck area had lots of empty spots since the truckers were stirring and hitting the road for the day.

We finished up the trip to New Castle in the evening. We dropped the trailer at Bro. Hisle's church and drove out to the campground they have reserved for us.

I think it is a state park and it seems very nice. I was not up for exploring last night but maybe we will get to wonder around some later in the week.

We are putting the tent up this morning. It is going to be a tight fit on the lot but I "think" it can be done. Pray that all goes well. We sure enjoyed revival in the air conditioning this week but I am looking forward to getting back under the tent.
