Columbus, Ohio Zoo Trip 2021

Hey Friends,

We have once again made it to Saturday and this is Odie reporting in. How are you doing? We are doing good. Soon the BoggsMobile will be on the move again. YAY!

It has been an unexpected blessing to be home for this extended period of time. I am not fond of the sickness that tore up our schedule for over six months, yet I have enjoyed my time at home with family and friends! I have tried to savor several special moments of this time.

I am so thankful for God's keeping power! He has been with us every step of the way! I know God sees the big picture and He has a plan. My prayer is to be right in the center of His plan for my life.

I guess that was my short testimony for today. My heart is full of gratitude! I am excited to travel again and see more of our friends! We will bring you all along on our crazy adventures.

Columbus, Ohio Zoo Trip 2021
Mom and I were able to do one of our favorite activities last week. We visited the zoo in Columbus, Ohio. I have been wanting to go to the zoo all summer. I was thrilled when we could schedule a day for a zoo trip.

The Columbus zoo is fantastic. It is full of interesting animals and great exhibits. This was my third visit to this particular zoo. In 2013 Mom and I went with our good friend Regan. In the summer of 2016, I tagged along with some of my family. I am happy to add this 2021 visit to my list.

We could not have asked for a better day! I could not believe the weather, especially in August! The sun was shining and the temperatures were just right. Normally it is extremely hot on the days we visit zoos. We immensely enjoyed the reprieve this time around!

We went on a Monday, thinking the crowd would be lighter. That was a wrong assumption on our part! I was shocked by the crowd of people that were also visiting the zoo. I think the crowd was larger than a normal weekend crowd.

Overall we had a fabulous day at the zoo! I can not pick a favorite animal this time. I am always is amazed to see the incredible animal that God created! The animals fascinate me. I am grateful to admire them at a safe distance.

I hope you enjoy our 2021 Columbus zoo trip pictures below. Mom took the majority of the photos. She did a fantastic job capturing these images with her iPhone!

Mom and I had a splendid day together! I love spending quality time with my Mama! We finished out the day by picking up Alcapulco on the way home. Delicious Mexican food is always a great way to end a fun day. 😆

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I will look forward to seeing you here again next week.

Sedgwick County Zoo 2020

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting today. I hope you are well. Did you enjoy the pictures from the Camp Meeting in Abeokuta, Nigeria yesterday? It was awesome to see everyone partaking in the meeting.

Zoo
Are you ready for a virtual trip to the zoo? You get to go to the zoo in the comfort of your home.

Mom and I enjoy visiting zoos! One of our favorites is the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. We try to go every summer on our Wichita stop, if possible. It is always a lot of fun!

I was unsure if we would get to make a zoo trip happen this year, due to Covid-19 restrictions. Thankfully we were able to go visit our animal friends this year!

We were able to arrive in Wichita early this year and that gave us extra time. The weather forecast was perfect for a zoo visit. It is always so hot when we go and the high was near 100, so it was just right.

Sedgwick County Zoo is open for business. You have to purchase tickets online and reserve your arrival time slot. Masks are recommended at all times and required in buildings. Social distancing is also in place.

We also had Aunt Karen with us this year. It was great to spend the day with my auntie! We had a fabulous time!

You can tell from the pictures that we enjoyed ourselves. The giraffes, lions, tiger, bear and elephants were probably the highlight of the day for me. The lion roared at Mom and scared her. It was hilarious. Sadly we missed getting that moment on video.

I will close with pictures from our 2020 visit to the Sedgwick County Zoo. These pictures were taken by both Kelly Jo and Odie using our iPhone 8 plus.
