POPSOCKETS

Hey Friends, this is Odie checking in from Richton, Mississippi. We have had a wonderful week in City Reach Richton! Friday night was powerful! God helped me and touched me so much! We have one more services tonight at 7:15. That is a change. We were scheduled to go through Sunday evening but there was a death connected to the church so we are closing on Saturday night. I am looking forward to what God has in store for us on this last night.

I have had a great week with my Mississippi family. Bro. Scott, Sis. Kim, Regan and Rylee have taken awesome care of me. Thank you all once again for opening your home to me! I love y'all!

"What is on the back of your phone?" That is a question I get almost daily.

That "thing" on the back of my phone is a compact phone stand called a POPSOCKET. I have had this gismo since April and I am a total fan. It helps you to hold your phone and it is also useful to prop your phone up on a table.

It pops flat against your device when not in use.

All three of us have them on our phones. They stick to any device with a built in adhesive. However, you can pull them off at anytime to reposition it or even change devices. I tried to using my phone a few days without it and I missed it terribly.

They offer several designs on their website. Also you can design your own POPSOCKETS

I received an email the other day from POPSOCKETS and I thought I would pass the information on to you. If you use this link and you order a POPSOCKET, you get $2 of and I receive $1 cash for each person that joins the POPSOCKET fun. That makes a good thing even better.  I highly recommend POPSOCKETS  and it makes a great gift.

Thanks very much for reading. I should be writing to you next Saturday from Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Special Friends With Us In Richton

The Thursday night City Reach service was fantastic. God is moving and we are so glad to be a part of it. Praise God for his help and strength. It is wonderful to see these people that we love enjoying the presence of the Lord.

The only thing better than having a great revival among friends is to add in a few more friends! We were blessed to have the Millikin's with us Monday night. They are a tremendous asset to any service and they were certainly a great help when they were here. The folks in Richton fell in love with them and that is awesome!

Last night we had some more friends drop in and they plan to be with us all day today and for service tonight as well. We first met Pastor Johnson George and his wife Sis. Binu during City Reach Phoenix area. Bro. George pastors a church in Phoenix and fellowships with Pastor Noah Martinez and the Desert Cove Assembly.

We were thrilled to meet them and have them be a part of City Reach Phoenix. It was a privilege to preach revival for them in their church as well.

We fell in love with these fine people and God has knit our hearts together as one. It was Pastor George that introduced us to Pastor Sunny Philip in New York and as a result, we were invited to New York to preach their anniversary meeting.

Now, as an extra special bonus, we are blessed to have Pastor George and Sis. Binu with us in City Reach Richton. They are on their first road trip across the USA and they planned as part of that trip to visit us here in Richton. What an amazing blessing!

We have already enjoyed visiting with our dear friends and we are expecting more great fellowship today and tonight. It is wonderful how God has brought us together with them again.

Come be with us under the Blue and White Gospel Tent in Richton if you can. Service begins tonight and Saturday night at 7:15 and Sunday evening at 5:00. Thanks for reading.

Hurricane Matthew and City Reach

Have you noticed there is a hurricane stirring up trouble in the Atlantic? I know the media is salivating over the possibility of a major hurricane hitting the US and I certainly do not want to feed that hysteria. But this is a real storm causing real damage and killing real people.

The tracking is all over the map but as of today it is projected to give at least a glancing blow to the coast of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

This was the forecast as of 11:00 PM last night.

That is a lot of potential for trouble. I think it is worth asking God to steer that thing out to sea and into as much of nothing as He can find.

My personal concerns about hurricane Matthew are very minute compared to folks that live along the coast, but I do have a small vested interest in the path of this particular hurricane. We are planning to leave Richton, Mississippi early Monday morning and drive toward the Atlantic coast and up to Fayetteville, North Carolina for City Reach. We are supposed to set up the tent seven days from now and begin City Reach the next night.

Fayetteville is not a coastal town but it is only about 100 miles due north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The hurricane is forecast to be gone by early next week but if the coast takes a direct hit, there could be major after affects that would make City Reach difficult if not impossible.

I hesitated even mentioning it here but it is a matter I am praying about and I would appreciate you joining me in prayer. We simply desire to have God's guidance in all of this. Thank you very much.
