Slight Schedule Adjustment

We have a slight schedule change for next week. I already mentioned that we will be in Revival at Dodds, right next to the Lazy OD Ranch, beginning Sunday morning. We are expecting God to bring in lost folks and save, heal and deliver next week.

Pastor Rogers has some folks wanting to be baptized so they are relocating the Sunday night service to the river. There will be regular service Sunday morning at 10:00 and 11:00 and at 7:00 Monday through Wednesday. All that remains the same. The change is Sunday night. That service will be at 6:00 PM at the baptismal site.

We are going to have some singing, I will be preaching and then we will have the baptismal service. We are excited about the whole revival and I think Sunday night at the river is going to be awesome. It is close to Ft. Ancient on Hwy. 350. That is a popular canoe area so it even has the potential to be evangelistic. I am really looking forward to it.

Tonight (Thursday) I am supposed to preach at our home church at Dryden Rd. Bro. Bennie called yesterday and asked me to preach and we are looking forward to it. It is always nice to be home and worship with the home crowd.

Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe will begin his eastward trek soon and should be in Ohio by sometime Monday. I am really looking forward to seeing him again. We have been missing Bro. Jimmy and we are ready to welcome him back "home".

I hope you are having a great week. Thanks for reading.

#36 Weekend Woundup and Weview

The whole weekend revolved around revival at West Harrison Pentecostal Tabernacle near West Harrison, Indiana. I posted the pictures from the revival yesterday. We were so glad to be with them for their Homecoming services.

Their scheduled night speaker had to cancel due to a death so Pastor Hicks called us to fill in and we were honored to do so. 13 of the last 13 years we would not have been any where near here at this time of year so this year worked out great.

Friday night was the monthly fellowship meeting for the Eastern Indiana Fellowship. It was good to be with those churches again. The fellowship was good and the response to the preaching was great. I am always thrilled to see churches joining together to worship and eto strengthen one another.

Saturday night was another good service and folks started gathering in from out of town for the Homecoming. We were blessed to see folks Saturday and Sunday that we have not seen in many years.

Sunday's Homecoming was well attended and the weather could not have been better. It was absolutely beautiful. They were reminiscing about their Homecoming in 2008 when Hurricane Ike came up from the gulf, right through Indiana and Ohio and into Lake Erie. They have their meal outside under the pavilion and Ike blew everything around pretty good. After I heard those stories, I appreciate the perfect weather even more.

By the time the service was over, the meal and fellowship was complete and we were packed up and ready to ride, it was way after 5:00 PM. We headed toward the Ranch after a stop at Flying J to empty the holding tanks. We pulled in about 7:30.

By the time we were detached from the car, parked and hooked to utilities, Dodds church had dismissed and we capped off the super great weekend visiting with family. Yep, it was a pretty good weekend.

It is now midweek and I hope all is going well for you. Remember that we start revival at Dodds this Sunday morning. Thanks for reading.
