Great Sunday And First Night of Tent Revival

There is no way to write up a review of our weekend and fit it all in one post so I will bite off little pieces of it and present them as concisely as I can. Today I will give you a brief run down of Sunday and later in the week I will tell you about setting up the tent, roofing the barn and several other things that went on over the last few days.

Sunday began beautifully as the sun came over the tent.

Pastor Kelly Rogers had asked me to be prepared to preach Sunday morning at Dodds. I was planning to attend there anyway since I like to stay close to the tent when it is in the air so I was very glad to accept his kind invitation. Bro. Rogers really has a burden to reach this community with the message of the Gospel and I am thankful to be working with him and others this week.

The Sunday morning service was very, very good. It seemed God came down so close to us. It has been a while since I have wept so much while I preached. The folks responded good in the altar and I was very thankful.

Sunday evening we set up the sound system a little earlier than we will the rest of the week. I like to get it up earlier on the first night to give me time to deal with any problems that might crop up. All was smooth so in a little while we were ready to roll.

We had a great crowd for the first night especially with all of the graduations going on yesterday. The people began to worship and the Lord honored His Word and worked among us. I expect that will build night by night by God's grace.

It is a great privilege to have the Millikin's with us this week and it is also an honor and a privilege to have Bro. Michael Alexander playing the bass for us. Bro. Michael is great on the bass and really shares our passion for souls and our vision of tent revival. We are blessed to have him.

The Mitch Boggs Jr. family and the Jason Fellers family had never been to Cassano's so we headed that way with them and the Millikin's after service. I am not eating pizza yet but it sure looked good and smelled good. They all assured me that it was as good as it looked!

Before we left for Cassano's some of the men went back up on the lift and took a few pictures of the tent barn just as the sun was going down. I think the pictures are incredible. They planning to go back up in the daylight today.

That should bring you up to date on Sunday. Tomorrow and Wednesday I will try to post pictures and information about some of the other exciting things that have happened the last few days.

I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for reading.

And the view out the front door.

We arrived home about 2:00 PM Thursday and this is our view out the front window IF the barn door is open.

The tent is up in Waynesville.

We are scheduled to begin tent revival tonight at 7:00. Come be with us if you can at all. We would love to have you. I will try to post pictures from the set up and more news from our weekend later in the week.
