Weekend Wound Up and Weport August 4, 2015

It was a busy weekend as usual and we enjoyed every minute of it. Friday we were blessed to eat lunch with one of my best friends in the world David Riddell. We really enjoyed spending time with David as we always do and the time flew by and was over way too fast. David and I are cousins but we became friends as teenagers and we have been friends the last 60+ years ...30+ years each. Lol!

Friday night we finished revival in Hillsboro. Here is the Revival In Pictures post from the House of Deliverance.

Saturday we worked around the barn but we took time in the afternoon to meet with friends from Mississippi. Bro. J.J and Sis. Bailey Holland are from Bro. Kenny Morris' church in Ellisville, Mississippi. Sis. Bailey is expecting twins and they have been at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati for special treatment.

They were in service with us one night in Hillsboro and Sunday night in Lebanon but Saturday was time for a trip to Acupulco!

We are so glad that they took time to visit with us while they were here. Please pray for J.J., Bailey and their twin boys James and John.

We drove the BoggsMobile to Anchor of Hope in Lebanon and set up our sound system on Saturday and then parked outside the barn for a change.

One of the reasons I parked outside was so I could clean the drain in the middle of the barn. The bus is usually on top of it.

I removed the grate and cleaned out years of debris, dirt and metal shavings. One of the renters of the barn in years past ran a machine shop and a bunch of the metal shavings ended up in the drain.

Then we moved to the drain outside. It was partially covered in dirt with grass growing out of it. I did not get a pictures of it but here is the drain itself with several inches of dirt, mud and grass.

Here it is mostly cleaned up.

I know everything will drain a whole bunch better now!

Sunday morning we began revival for Pastor Bill Lamb and Pastor E.J. Lamb at Anchor of Hope near Lebanon, Ohio. We always enjoy revival at Anchor.

We have had three great services so far and we are expecting two more great nights. If you are any where in the area come and be with us. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Thank you for reading.

Blessed To Be 30

I have a prayer request so I am re-posting Odie's blog from this morning. IF some of you receive the feed twice you will know why. I am re-posting because I want you to pray for Bro. JJ and Sis. Bailey Holland from Ellisville, Mississippi. You have been praying for them and their twin boys for several weeks. There has been a change and I will give you the news as we received it in their own words.

John passed away tonight in the arms of his Mama. He is safe in the arms of Jesus. Please pray for us.
Please understand God did not fail us, He answered our prayers in His way. We prayed for healing and he is healed. We prayed for him to live and he is living. Our miracle was 6 weeks that we spent with out baby boy.
I have been outside working this morning and Odie shared this with me when I came inside a moment. My heart broke into a puddle of years. On one hand I rejoice for John's ultimate healing and for the time they had to spend with him and for their spiritual maturity in comprehending all this from Heaven's view.

But my heart weeps and breaks for this young couple with the first hand understanding of a brokenhearted Daddy. I am praying for JJ, Bailey and little James from the deepest recesses of my heart. Would you please pray for them too.

Thank you very much. Now I will turn you over to Odie and her regularly scheduled Saturday post.

Davy

Hey Friends,

Thank you for checking in at Boggsblogs! This is Odie and I am glad to have you along on this crazy journey called life. I hope you enjoy our Mile Markers along the way.

Our plan today is to take down the Gospel Tent in Millry. Dad will work most of the morning getting everything prepared. Once the tent is dry and the help shows up, the tent should be down and packed away in a few minutes.

We have had a wonderful move of God in Millry. Last night was outstanding in every way. It is a great way to cap off tent revivals for 2015. The next time the tent goes up should be in the southwest of the USA for a City Reach campaign.

It has been an eventful week around the BoggsMobile. I (Odie) turned 30 years old on Wednesday. Please check out my Dad's sweet posts from Tuesday and Wednesday. He put a lot of effort into making sure I had a fabulous birthday.

This is me and my Daddy in my first few days in October 1985.

I will admit I shed some tears a few times in the weeks leading up to October 14th. I was dreading getting old but my family and friends made it a Happy day!

Once again I am overwhelmed by the love and support. There is no way I could take time to name everyone that sent a video, text, emailed, left a comment, sent a card, or gave me a gift. I am very grateful for your outpouring of love and generosity! I definitely feel loved and spoiled! I did not cry once on my birthday because of my age but some of the sweet acts of kindness shown to me made me cry!

Now I am excited about what this new decade holds for me! My 20's did not all turn out according to my plan but I rest in this fact, I am living life according to God's plan. 2005-2015 were ten exciting years. God led me down several paths I never dreamed possible! What is going to happen next?

2015

My birthday celebration actually started several days early. Bro. Scott, Sis. Kim, Regan and Rylee Morris treated me to a early birthday meal. It was a great evening spent with my Mississippi family at Cheddars.

Last Saturday the Tooneys from Irvington, Alabama made the long drive to Millry just to bring me a special birthday card. I am stilled amazed and so grateful for my wonderful friends! I love Bro.David and Sis. Lillie Tooney!

They had planned to be in tent revival with us this week but had to go out of town for a family funeral. I can not believe they took the time to drive so far just to wish me a happy birthday. It was an act of kindness that I do not think I will ever forget!

Thank you all again for every birthday greeting! I am a blessed girl to have so many awesome people in my life. I love everyone of you!!

Let me close by thanking my parents. Mom and Dad, Thank you for always being there for me. For cheering me on through life! I love you both so much!

God Bless,

Odie

Watching Miracles Grow

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking in from the home front. I will be spending some time here enjoying my family, friends and my beach cottage. I will continue to report in from Ohio until I meet up with my parents down the road a bit.

I hope you had a great week! We had a fantastic time in Tennessee this week. It is always good to spend time with our road family at Beechfork Holiness Church.

Watching Miracles Grow
I was inspired to write this post by a line in a song that I sing. The song is titled, Faith. The line says,
"When you're praying for answers to things you can't change
Hold on to faith."

Most of us have those things on our hearts that seem impossible. We have been waiting for answers longer than we had hoped to wait. God is still the God of impossibilities in 2022. He is still working miracles.

One of my favorite kinds of miracles to reminisce and Thank God for is the gift of life. We have witnessed God bless several families with children. It is a joy to watch these children grow!

A few months ago, we were able to see four of our miracle friends in Mississippi. Each child brings joy to their family and church family. I thank God for answering prayers every time I see them!

The Sheffield Family has been blessed with two precious miracles. Caleb and Katie are now 10 and 8! They are sweethearts! We love them so much. You can read about them in our posts from 2011, 2013 and 2016.

February 2022

Next, we have James Holland. James was born in the fall of 2015. He spent several weeks in the NICU.

Several of you joined us in praying for him back then. Those prayers worked! James is finishing kindergarten. He is a growing boy full of life.  Here is a post that I wrote back in 2016.

March 2022

Then there is my buddy Lucas Brownlee. We prayed for several years with Lucas' parents, Jamie and Allison. In late 2016 they found out that God was granting the desires for a child. We rejoiced with them!

Five years ago On May 4th 2017, their world changed when Lucas arrived! He was worth the wait! He brightened everybody's lives that know him! I wrote about him in 2017.

Lucas is an amazing little boy. He liked to ride with me on my scooter this year. Lucas called it a treadmill. He would ask to ride on my treadmill. LOL

February 2022

A miracle that is still in progress is my cousin Deidre's baby, Chloe Jean. Several of you have asked me how she is doing. Chloe Jean is doing fantastic.

We are so thankful for her progress. She is eating and growing well. Chloe is laughing, smiling, cooing and full of life.

Doctors are continuing to monitor her liver issues. We are believing God for her complete healing!

Here is a recent picture of Chloe Jean. I am hoping to see her soon when she comes to Ohio for her first visit.

While we were on our Virginia tour, I met Oliver Tinnon. I had been waiting months to meet this little miracle.  He is the son of my friends Bro. Jonathan and Sis. Whitney Tinnon.

Last year I was excited to learn that Baby Tinnon was on the way! I immediately told Whitney to pencil me in for baby time on my visit to Virginia in 2022.

Oliver came several weeks early. He immediately started surprising the doctor with his progress. God was answering prayers daily for my friends. Oliver is a fighter. He was determined to overcome life's obstacles!

By early December, He was home and going to his first church service. Today you would never know that he spent weeks as a preemie in the NICU! God is so awesome!

There are many more stories that I could share. I will save those for another post. Today I want to encourage us. Our answered prayers will happen. The miracles are still growing. We will rejoice in the future!

Thanks for stopping by to visit with me today. We must remember,
"When you're praying for answers to things you can't change
Hold on to faith."
