Weekend Woundup and Weview #24

We started the weekend with working on the house, then threw in great visits with old friends and a bowl or two of salsa and ended it with church and a little driving. It does not get much better than that.

Dad and I put in a long day Friday wiring the house and then several more hours on Saturday. About noon Saturday I drove less than 15 minutes to the Warren County Airport and picked up Mitch Boggs Jr. and his friends Kevin and Ken.

Ken owns the small plane, Kevin was flying and Mitch was along for the ride. Well, Mitch was the reason for the ride. He came to measure the roof, look it all over and figure a material list.

Mitch and his crew plan to be back here the last week of June to install the roof and all the rest of the metal. It was super great to see him and we are looking forward to having the whole bunch with us very soon.

After an hour or so he had worked up an appetite and I happened to know about a little placed close by that serves good salsa!

My friend, David Riddell, drove over from Hillsboro to see us and they arrived in time for salsa too, although not coincidentally.😀 David is about the longest of my long term friends and it was great to see him. There had been too much time between visits and we are already making plans to fix that soon.

Mitch is on the right, Kevin is next to him and then Ken.

I was blessed to see two very good friends, make some new friends and drink a bit of salsa too. That is not too bad for short Saturday afternoon.

I delivered Mitch, Kevin and Ken back to the airport and then worked more on the house while Kelly Jo and Odie went to an open house for Brooklyn Coffman. She graduated from high school recently and every graduate needs cake, ice cream and cards!

Sunday morning started early as we drove to Hodgenville, Kentucky to be in service at Hodgenville Pentecostal Church again.

We had a wonderful service and a great visit with our friends! We appreciate Pastor Webb and his folks so much.

After a fine lunch with the Webb family we drove about 2 1/2 hours to West Harrison, Indiana to be with Pastor Wade Hicks and his church for Sunday night service. God touched in the service and we enjoyed it tremendously.

Pastor Hicks received a special offering to go toward the house being built for Odie and we appreciate that very much. Their church had already given many hours in labor toward framing the house so now we are doubly indebted to them. May God bless them for their kindness.

These next pictures were taken by Sis. Chrissy Hicks Sunday night.

We visited a while at Frisch's and then Kelly Jo drove us a little over an hour home. It was a long day but it was worth every minute and mile of it to experience two great altar services. I love to watch God work.

We have today off, except for working on the house, then we begin revival tomorrow night at Pentecostal Faith Church in New Miami, Ohio. We are looking forward to it.

Thank you for reading today.

View Out The Front Window June 11, 2017

Not much changed on the view this week. All of the progress on the house was inside. So this week's picture is pretty much the same as last week except Steve and Karen are not perpetually driving down the driveway!

We do have an exciting Sunday of church planned as usual. I will tell you all about it Monday by God's grace.

Here are links to our posts from the last week.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Visit To The Arctic

Hey Friends, this is Odie reporting in from Ohio. It has been a wonderful week. The weather has been beautiful. I am excited to see more progress being made on the house. Piece by piece it is coming together.

The Lord blessed in a special way this week during revival in Sharonville, Ohio. I love watching God touch His people and I love feeling it too! It was great to see Pastor Randy Brown and many friends during revival. Make sure to check the out the revival in pictures post here.

Since late January I have had a badly cracked screen on my phone. My friend informed me I had the Spider-Man edition iPhone. After several months I was ready for a smooth screen. Thanks to Mom for taking me to the store Wednesday morning. The local Batteries Plus Bulbs came to my rescue. Now I have a clear screen and it looks so much better.

Last night I visited the final night of Vacation Bible School at Dodds. My Aunt Karen and her team do a fantastic job. I enjoy watching their VBS, when I get a chance.  The theme for 2017 was  Operation Arctic. Before the evening was over it even snowed! It was really cool.

Thanks for checking in. I hope you have a great weekend. I will leave you with pics I snapped in the Arctic last night.

Green Machines and Gold Rims

Kelly Jo's Dad and Mom have an old jeep that used to belong to KJ's niece, Kayla. They brought it to so that we would not be limited to one car while we are here working on the house. It has been a huge help to us. We often need to run different directions and now we can. I sure was tired of walking.😁

The other day the jeep was parked in the drive by the house and the Green Machine was parked near it. That is when I noticed we had a "thing" going on here.

Here is the Green Machine.

The Green Machine is obviously green and it has gold rims that were added after we purchased it over 5 years ago. The after market rims that were on it when we bought it were sporty and nice looking but they were 17" rims and the tires were extremely low profile.

The wide, low profile tires caused the car to ride like a buckboard wagon and would not go in snow at all.

I determined the low profile tires and the 17" rims had to go. The only problem with that decision was that Kelly Jo liked the sporty looking rims. We made a deal. I would sell the rims and tires, find a good selection of new appropriately sized rims and let KJ make the final choice of which rims to buy.

The gold rims captured her little heart and that is how we ended up with a Green Machine with gold rims. I like her taste and I think she made a great choice.

That brings me to the jeep we are using for the moment.

Here it is.

Yep! It is green with gold rims! Is there DNA that determines a persons preference for green cars and gold rims. I believe there must be and it must be strong in the Morgan family!

Long time readers may remember the first vehicle that we towed behind the BoggsMobile, Mr. Cheap Jeep. It was white but it had gold rims!

It is interesting to say the least. What do you think?

Thank you for stopping in today.

Revival In Pictures - Sharonville, Ohio

It has been great to be in revival in Sharonville, Ohio since Friday night. We had a wonderful time with excellent services. Praise God for His help each and every night!

Pastor Randy Brown and I grew up together and it is awesome to be able to preach revival for him and his church. I am sure that most people that knew us as kids could not imagine we would both be holiness preachers but that is a great testimony to the grace of God!

Wednesday night was the last night of revival and it finished with a bang. The folks responded so well to the preaching and God touched us all in the altar service. It was a little bittersweet to have to leave our friends.

We have some pictures below from this week and you will find a few more in our post from Monday. I hope you enjoy them all.

Thanks for reading.
