Do You Know Pastor Jon Isaacs and Family

Do you know Bro. Jon Isaacs and his beautiful family?

We first met Bro. Jon when he was a young man and relatively new Christian. He was raised in Connersville, Indiana and would visit our home church, Dryden Rd. Pentecostal Church in Dayton, Ohio. He was a fine young man then and God has touched him and used him greatly through the years.

Bro. Jon is married to Sis Heidi and they have three beautiful daughters, Alayna, Alivya and Anna Kate. They were effective evangelists for several years and have been Pastoring near Elba, Alabama for nearly 12 years. When they went to Zoar Holiness church I really wondered why they would leave the road.

After 12 years, a new location, a name change and many lives transformed by the power of God, I now understand why they went to Zoar. It is evident that God sent them.

Grace Fellowship Holiness Church (The church is no longer at Zoar, hence the name change) is better because God sent them this special anointed family. God is using them to reach folks and to bless.

They all sing, play music, preach, teach and obviously have a heart for people and a heart for God. The girls are precious and have taken up the work of the ministry with dedication and delight. It is a joy to watch this family work for the Lord and minister to His people.

Bro. Jon invited us to Zoar in the early years of their Pastorate and we have enjoyed great fellowship with his family and with the family of God that attend the church. Our lives have been made better by knowing them and we look forward to many more years of friendship by God's grace.

Some of our most precious memories of evangelism were made with these folks and we will treasure them for a long time. The Watch Night service on January 31, 2010 was especially memorable and will stand as a great memorial to God's amazing power and blessing, at least to our family.

That night was also special because we were honored to dedicate Anna Kate Isaacs to the Lord.

Here is Anna Kate now with me and one of the little boys from the church.

Praise God for His wonderful people that we are blessed to know and love. These are a few more of them that are near and dear to our hearts!

Do you know Bro. Jon Isaacs and his beautiful family? They are definitely worth getting to know.

This Is The Victory That Overcomes ALL Obstacles

I have various friends across the country that have really been in the spiritual battle of their lives. The actual trials are physical, emotional or financial but it all combines to create spiritual havoc. Many of you have been there and you know the heartache and frustration first hand.

I have been praying fervently for several of my dear friends and family. Many others have been praying fervently. I wish I had a Word from the Lord that divine deliverance is on the way very soon. I do not have that assurance at this moment but I do have this.

We may not feel victorious now. We may not look like winners today. We may seem to be on the losing end of the action for the moment. But do not count the Christian out yet.

When the Christian's world is turned upside down and all hope that we should be saved is now lost, we have a secret weapon. We have a sure advantage. We have a consolation that others can not depend on.

That consolation is this.

I John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The trial may not be over but we are born of God and we will overcome the world in the end! That is the Word of a perfect gentleman! We will overcome the world! We are born of God! We are God's children!

Overcoming the world.
Defeating the devil.
Triumphant over temptation.
Thriving in the test.
Prevailing over problems.
Conquering calamity.
Success over satan.
Winning in spite of the world.

Overcoming the world!

How do we do that?

THIS is the victory that overcometh the world, even our FAITH.

Faith overcomes the world? Faith prevails? Faith conquers? Yes it does! Faith overcomes the world!

Faith must be powerful stuff to accomplish all thatIndeed it is, but our faith must be focused in the right direction.

Overcoming faith is Not faith in our experience

Not faith in a ministry

Not faith in a creed

Not faith in a book

Not faith in a system

Not faith in a church

Not faith in a man

Not faith in ourselves

Not even faith in our faith!

I John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Faith that overcomes is faith in Christ as the Son of God! Hallelujah! THAT Works!

You may not be able to trust your co-workers

You man not be able to trust your friends.

You may not be able to trust your neighbors

You may not be able to trust your government

You may not be able to trust your family

You may not be able to trust your yourself

But you can trust Christ! You can put your faith in the Son of God. You can rely on Him!

He is dependable, my dear friends. He is trustworthy. He is reliable. He is honorable. He is steadfast. He is sure. He is faithful. He is true! Hallelujah!

You can trust Christ! You can place all of your faith in Christ! There is overcoming power in that kind of faith!

Do not give up. Do not give in. Do not be talked into premature surrender. The battle is not over, but you are going to win. Have faith in the Son of God and you will overcome the world!

Thanks for reading today.

A Travel Day and The First Night At Grace Fellowship

A Travel Day

I mentioned yesterday that I really intended to hit the road Sunday night but time and circumstances changed our plans. We visited with the Beams of Light folks and Pastor Deane and his family until very late. We really enjoyed out time with our friends. It had been too long since we had stopped in and we had a lot of fun catching up to do.

Afterward it was late and we were tired. It did not seem to make much sense to leave then. The bed sounded better and I gave into sleep.

I laid down for a few hours and once I had the blog published and my morning routine completed, we cranked the BoggsMobile and hit the road. Beams of Light has two RV parking spots in the back and that is where we usually park. Since we were only here for Sunday, I pulled through the drive in the front and did not even unhook the car. All we had to do was pull out Monday morning.

The drive from Cantonment to Elba was about 150 miles and it took us about 3 hours or so. Only about 23 miles of the drive Monday was interstate but most of it was pretty good road. We take our time on the state and even US highways.

The church has moved closer to town but we still park at their fellowship hall out at Zoar. It is out in the boonies and we love the peace and quiet. Kelly Jo had the bus parked in only a few minutes.

That is the prettiest bus driver I have ever seen. What do you think?

We removed the wheelchairs and loaded the Green Machine with sound equipment. It makes a very nice little truck! You really can not see with all the shadows but it is completely full.

After we set up the sound, we stayed a while and sang and played music. It seems I am constantly finding something new I need to learn when it comes to sound. Most of it I should have known years ago but I missed it some where along the way. Sometimes it feels like my hard drive is full!

First Night at Grace

It was so good to see all of our friends last night. They did not act like we had been gone at all, they received us so warmly.

Pastor Jon Isaacs began service at 7:00 and the Lord met with us from the very beginning.

Praise God for His wonderful help at Grace Fellowship Holiness Church last night! We only have four more nights scheduled here this week but if they are anything like last night, it is going to be a good week.

Our last revival at Grace Fellowship was in November 2015 and it was one of our best revivals that year. I am a little apprehensive going back to a place where is was so good the previous visit, because I do not know what to expect or how it is going to be. God wiped all that apprehension away in only a few minutes last night.

Now I am very excited and expecting great and mighty things from the Lord all week long. It is amazing what God can do and how quickly He can turn situations and lives around for His glory. I love serving our wonderful and merciful savoir.

Come be in service with us this week if you can. We would love to have you and I believe the Lord will bless you in the process! That is a pretty good deal!

Weekend Woundup and Weview # 5

This has been an exciting weekend and we have been on the move the whole time. The days and nights fly by when we are in a different place every day.

We started the weekend by finishing revival at First Assembly in Douglas, Georgia. It was a wonderful revival all week long and Friday night was an excellent finale. We are very thankful the saints responded to the move of God. It was great to be a part of revival and we appreciate Pastor Marshall Adcock and all of his folks.

Friday at lunch we went to El Potro for Mexican Buffet again. We really like this place and it was so good on Friday.

Here are a few pictures from Friday night an we posted a whole bunch of pictures  on Friday.

Pastor Adcock and Odie

Friday night was a late night so we did not get an early start like we planned. It was about 8:00 when we started preparing to leave and about 9:30 when we pulled out. It was refreshing to drive all day without rain! Hallelujah!

About six hours later we were pulling into Zion Independent Baptist Church near Bonifay, Florida to hear the Isaacs sing. We had noticed this on the schedule as soon as they added it and we have been looking forward to stopping there very much. We had heard the Isaacs sing at this church nearly two years ago. Odie posted about it then.

It is always interesting to see the process of setting up their sound and all that goes with it. I try to absorb as much as I can, the Lord knows I need it.

The church is small and the crowd filled the sanctuary, the fellowship hall and the hallway completely full. This gives you an idea of the size. I am standing at the back door in this picture.

The way the BoggsMobile was parked, we could not leave until most of the parking lot was emptied. When we finally left, we stopped at the interstate and visited with the Isaacs for a while at a restaurant. It was a super great night. I am sure Odie will have more pictures and description during her Saturday post.

We ended up driving about 325 miles total on Saturday and stopped at a rest area to sleep. Here is the BoggsMobile and Green Machine Sunday at the rest area before we left.

A couple of hours later we pulled into Beams of Light Holiness Church and set up our sound for service. When Kelly Jo and I walked into the church I remembered how comfortable I always feel here.

Pastor Phillip Deane and his fine folks welcomed us with open arms Sunday and it was good to be there. They responded wonderfully to the singing and the preaching and God moved in the altar service. Praise God for His tremendous help.

It was a wonderful night. The service was good, the fellowship was good and God was good to all of is in the process!

Here are a few pictures from Sunday night.

Sis. Deidra and Kelly Jo

This is the third time we have been blessed to see Bro. Farrell Stearns in the last two weeks. It was great to be in service with him again.

After we had everything loaded in the bus, Odie noticed the flag was flying over the BoggsMobile. I never could catch in unfurled in a picture but it is still a nice picture.

That pretty much sums up the weekend. I meant to leave after church last night but by the time we were back at the bus after fellowship, I had lost my motivation. Hopefully we can get started early this morning for the three hour+ drive to Elba, Alabama. We begin revival there tonight by God's grace.

Thanks for reading today.

View Out The Front Window January 29, 2017

Here are links to the posts from the last week.

This was our view when we pulled into a rest area on I-10 about 2:00 this morning.

We are excited to be at Beams of Light Church near Cantonment, Florida tonight. It was been a while since we have been with our friends there and it will be good to be back.

I hope you have a good Sunday.

Stunned, Shocked and Speechless

Hello friends, this is Odie reporting in from a rolling BoggsMobile. We have an exciting day ahead and I will fill you in on those details next Saturday. The bus will also stop in Cantonment, Florida Sunday night. Then we will begin revival on Monday at Grace Fellowship in Elba, Alabama. We are anticipating a week of good times.

We had a fantastic week in Douglas, Georgia. It was wonderful to be with Pastor Marshall Adcock and the congregation of First Assembly. God visited us with His sweet spirit each service. It is truly wonderful to be a child of God and to know Him on a personal level. I am left in awe at how wonderful God really is.

We have had a few posts recently about our project for this summer. I have not said anything about this on the blog yet, because I really did not know what to say. When Bro. Scott Morris first told me of the plan that God had laid on his heart, I was in shock! I did not know if I should laugh or cry or how to react at all. I was completely stunned!

The passing of time has not lessened that feeling much at all. In fact, the closer we get to actually beginning this project, the more amazed I am. I would not allow the excitement to really set in because I knew we had lots of things to do before the work of building a house began. Now that it is nearing "go" time, my excitement meter is pegged and I am daring to dream.

I do not understand much about constructing a house but I am picking up a few things. I am grateful to have my Dad piloting this project. My Dad, along with several others, have already given a lot of time and labor to get everything to this point. I know this is a long process but it is very exciting for me.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, you can catch up with Bro. Scott Morris' guest post and Dad's two posts HERE and HEREI absolutely love traveling and look forward to staying on the road as long as God allows, but it will be extremely nice to have a place to settle into when I am home in Ohio.

The picture below was taken shortly after Bro. Scott told me about the house project. I was still in shock!

Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful weekend.
