An Excellent Weekend In Ellisville

God blessed us with another wonderful weekend. In fact it was an Excellent Weekend in Ellisville. The weekend started as we were finishing revival at Foster Grove and finished the revival by starting revival in Ellisville. That seems to be the story of most of our weekends and we would not have it any other way.

The trip from Mobile to Ellisville was only about 110 miles so we were in no rush to leave Saturday morning. I went to the bank and then came back to the bus and worked on some paper work while Kelly Jo was resting a while. I work her pretty hard and I need her to take care of herself and rest when possible.

We started preparing to leave at noon and pulled out of Foster Grove Holiness Church at 1:10. There are at least two ways to cut through the country on pretty good roads to Ellisville but it is only 14 miles farther to stay on 4 lane road all the way so that's what I did. The wind was blowing at 20 mph most of the way but we did beat the rain.

We arrived a little after 3:00 and set up in time to meet with Pastor Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris for supper at 5:00. We had a great meal at Charlie's which is one of our regular places here. We were enjoying the fellowship and food so much that we forgot all about taking pictures.

Odie's plane arrived about 9:30 PM and we were at the Hattiesburg airport to meet her. Once we were home we visited for a couple of hours catching up on all the news from Odie's vacation. She had a super great time. Hopefully she will be able to post pictures later in the week.

Sunday we cranked up revival here at Ellisville, Mississippi with two great services. Pastor Kenny Morris and his folks were ready to have church and we are looking forward to five more wonderful services this week.

The weather is cooler and raining this week but it is much better than the deep freeze up north. We are thankful to be here in the cool south. We can deal with the rain a whole lot better than the snow. You do not have to shovel rain!

I hope you had a great Sunday. Thanks for reading.

View Out The Front Window February 22, 2015

We are parked at First Assembly in Ellisville, Mississippi and we are planning to begin revival this morning. We have been coming to Ellisville for Pastor Kenny Morris and his church for many years and we love to be here. God is going to give us a great revival. I can feel it in my bones!

We went to the airport in Hattiesburg Saturday night and brought our baby back home with us. It is good to have her back in the bus. A young lady here at the church was asking us when we arrived yesterday about Odie. I told her that we were going to pick Odie up at the airport that night. I explained that she had been on vacation while we were hard at work in revival. Her little sister said, "That's just wrong!" It was hilarious.

Here is our view out of the front window at Ellisville First Assembly.

This is one of our absolutely favorite places to park. It is so easy to get into and pull out of. It is close to 50 amp power, close to water and easy to empty the holding tanks. It is also directly next to a laundromat and just two or three doors down from Sonic. Plus it is right here with some of our favorite people in the world. It does not get any better than that.

That definitely makes up for the view of the fellowship hall out the front door.

I hope you have a super great Sunday.

Foster Grove - Revival In Pictures

It has become the norm for Odie to post on Saturday but as she is still traveling I am stepping up to fill in for her this morning. Her ship should be pulling into port this morning in Tampa, Florida and then she will begin the long round about flying route to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. We should have her in our arms by 9:30 tonight.

We have missed Odie but we have had a tremendous week in Alabama. This was our first revival at Foster Grove Holiness Church in Mobile and it has been wonderful. We have had great fellowship from the local churches and several visitors each and every night. God has moved in the singing, in the preaching and especially in the altar services and I give him honor and glory for that.

Pastor Jimmie McDuffie and his wife and all the folks at Foster Grove have been so very kind to us all week long. They have provided a nice place to park, meals every night and have done their very best to see that we are taken care of while we are here. May God bless them greatly for their hospitality.

I hope you enjoy the Revival In Pictures.

Bro. Gautreaux was preaching revival nearby for Trinity so we were blessed to spend a little time with them during the day.

Pastor Scott Morris and his family came down to spend a little time with us one day. We organized and were the only participants in the first annual Mobile, Alabama lawn mover race sponsored by Lowe's and John Deere.
