Revival In Pictures - Atwater, Californina

I posted twice yesterday. The first post was the normal Thursday post. The second post was a special prayer request from Bro. Larry Landress and Holiness In Mexico. They are needing prayer for a shipment of Bibles that is being held up at the border. I have not heard if there has been any change so we are still asking God to move. I mention it today because those of you that subscribe by email receive an email each evening with the latest post. That means you were not notified of the earlier post and I do not want you to miss it if you want to read it.

Reagan Morris made it to Fresno shortly after 1:00. It is so good to have her with us for a few days. She is a precious young lady. We are very thankful she made it here safe. Odie, Regan and Emily Burris are staying together with a family in the church. I am sure they are going to have a good time.

Momentum is building every night at Amazing Grace Holiness Tabernacle in Atwater, California. We had another great crowd Thursday night and another wonderful service. I love watching God move for people in the hour of their need and right at the point of their need. He is an amazing God.

Here are a bunch of pictures from the last few days in Atwater. I hope you enjoy them. We should have many more to come next week. God bless you all for reading.

We are anticipating the dedication service on Saturday at noon.

Special Prayer Request - Bibles

This is a special post with a prayer request on Thursday. Our regular post was posted early this morning and is HERE.

Bro. Larry Landress sent the following out this morning concerning a major shipment of Spanish Bibles that he ordered and was expecting. Please pray about this and feel free to pass it on to others.

Yesterday evening I was advised by my forwarding agent that the container of Bibles that we have coming from China has been taken by US immigration by their CET. Contraband Examination Team. They will hold it as long as they want to and open every pallet, case and Bible checking for contraband and it will cost us to repackage them. This is a full container that was sealed by the Chinese government in Shanghai and has not been opened until now. Help us pray. These Bibles are already 2 weeks late and we have pastors and other missionaries who are waiting for them.

A Little Housekeeping

Today's post is a conglomeration of a few things.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that we had two pretty big announcements to make. The first one was concerning a family telling us they wanted to purchase the new tent section for us. We are still praising God for that. We are not quite ready to make the second announcement but we are excited to say that things are coming together quite nicely. We are very excited about what it seems that God is doing and we can hardly wait to let you all know. It will not be long.

We are half way through the week in Atwater, California and we are having a super great time. Each service has been good and we are anticipating even better as we go forward. We plan to be here at least through Sunday night. We will not have church Saturday night. The church dedication service will be Saturday at noon with a dinner following. They are expecting a big crowd so come on out and join in the fun.

It had been a while since I had spent much time updating the schedule so I took care of some of that the last couple of weeks. I appreciate all the folks that keep up with out schedule and come to be with us when you can. Be sure and call ahead before you drive a long distance because things can change pretty quickly.

Regan Morris from Richton, Mississippi is coming to visit us for a few days and we are very excited about that. She is supposed to fly in this morning and we plan to pick her up at the airport on Fresno about 1:00 PM. She will get to be with us four services plus the church dedication on Saturday. We should all be pretty spiritual by then.

Hurry, Regan! We can hardly wait!

Tomorrow we will probably post a bunch more pictures from revival. We are eating good, enjoying the blessings of God and having a wonderful time spending time with the saints. Thank you for praying for us.

Go and Do Likewise - The Forney Flyer

I have linked to Dave Forney and his family on the blog before. He flies for Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) and is now stationed in Uganda. I started reading their blog when they were on the island of Borneo in Indonesia. MAF serves people in several places around the world.

Mr. Forney takes great pictures and inspires me with the things he writes. He posted last week about a specific flight mission that demonstrates why they do what they do. It is very moving and I want to pass it on to you. He does offer a disclaimer at the beginning of the post about disturbing content that may be inappropriate for young folks. If you are younger please grab a parent and let them read the post first.

Let me know what you thing about the post titled "Go and Do Likewise."

More Pastor Appreciation Pictures - Pastor Jared Burris

Monday was super busy and long. In fact it is after 1:00 AM California time Monday night/Tuesday morning and I am just sitting down to type the blog. That means your not going to get much blog. KJ had some extra pictures from Pastor Appreciation so I am posting them.

Make sure you watch the clip. Bro. Jared is opening his gift. It is an iPad disguised as brownie pan. It was hilarious.

We did have a great response in the altar service Monday night so revival is going really good.
