Can You See Me Now?

Odie, writing to you today from Paducah, Kentucky. My heart is again grateful to God for my vision being restored. 14 weeks ago Monday I was in Paducah to visit Dr. Baker. Trying to figure out why I suddenly lost my vision the day before. We left the doctor that day knowing it was not my eye, but something deeper was going on. Today I can see! Praise God!! Faithful readers have followed this journey with me. If you are new please read of my miracle HERE, HERE and HERE.

I hope you had an excellent week. As you have read we have had a great week in Kentucky to Illinois and back to Kentucky.  It was great to be with our friends in Metropolis and now Paducah.

Monday we bid goodbye to our family and Carter Caves State Park. I really hope it's not another 5 years before I get back to reunion. Thankfully we have texting to keep in contact. We have been using it a lot this week.

Our last Sunday in eastern Kentucky my cousin Michelle told me she wanted to decorate my chair. She brought all the bling to the campround that evening. Michelle, Haylaa, Hadessah, and Aalayah got to work making me shine. We had a blast glowing around the campground that night! It was a lot of silly fun. We are already planning what to do next time around.

Uncle Steve decided to try out my glasses. I think he looks great!!

Another highlight of mine last week was getting to meet two of the newest cousins. Both are 10 months old. Vince and Rylie quickly wrapped me around their little fingers. They both have smiles that melt my heart!!  We enjoyed taking rides on my scooter. I miss them both a ton! Thanks to Wendy and Sabrina for allowing me to spoil their babies a little bit!

Dad tells me in front of mothers of babies I am holding, "Odie, don't drop that baby like you did the last one." Thankfully I have NEVER dropped a baby!

I will leave with one more picture. Cousin George says I look like I am riding a horse, so he let me borrow his hat for a picture.

Have a wonderful weekend. I can not wait to see what adventures this week will bring my way.

Metropolis, Illinois - Revival In Pictures

It has been a great three nights in Metropolis, Illinois with Pastor Russell Gilbert and the folks at Cherry Street Pentecostal Church. We have had good services topped off with very good altar services after the preaching. Wednesday night we had 100% response in the altar and I always celebrate that when it happens.

God has certainly been good to us and we appreciate it very much. We have been blessed with several visitors from local churches and some from the community as well. I am very thankful when folks take time to be in church with us. People are so busy and there is always something that needs to be done so it is a special treat when folks lay all that aside and come on out to revival. May God bless them for it.

I pray that God blesses Bro. and Sis. Gilbert and their church too. Like so many other churches they have opened their doors to us many times over the years. We are still on the road after all these years because of churches just like Cherry Street. Praise God for their hospitality and kindness. We have had a wonderful time this week.

Below you will find several pictures from revival in Metropolis. I hope you enjoy them.
