Please pray for Pastor Herman Woods and his wife Sis. Margaret. Bro. Herman has been having some very serious physical struggles the last two weeks and he really needs the Lord to touch him. We know God is able to lift him up and heal him this very moment. Would you pray for Bro. and Sis. Woods? I know they would appreciate it and we would as well. These folks are very, very precious to us. Thank you.

We are overjoyed to join again with the Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church to reach lost souls in this area with the Gospel message. This is our third year to partner with Pastor Dallas Lakes and his folks in Tent Revival and God is already moving among us. We are expecting Him to do great things.

We started Sunday morning with a great service at the Tunnel Hill Church. Wow! What a great service we had Sunday morning. God was reaching for souls from the very beginning.

Sunday afternoon Kelly Jo and I set up the sound equipment. No matter how many times we do this, it is exciting and nerve wracking every time. As we set everything up and work out the bugs in the sound I can feel the excitement building in my spirit. I can also feel the forces that hate revival begin to press against me too. But I know that if the devil is fighting there must be something good he is trying to keep us from. If he is really applying the pressure then there are some lost souls that are desperately needing to hear the Gospel.

We know that God will prevail! The church will be edified, the Gospel will be preached and the right person will hear the message. I believe that with all my heart. That keeps me going in spite of the spiritual pressure.

Sunday night was a very good service.

The singing was good right from the beginning. You could feel the excitement in the air.

God moved on Bro. Lakes at the end of the preaching and he pulled folks into the altar for a wonderful meeting with the Lord. It was an excellent altar service.

Praise God for His help and grace. It was a terrific first night of Tent Revival. The weather was perfect, the Lord was moving and the people were ready to have church. That makes for a wonderful Tent Revival. It was still daylight after church and it was early so folks stayed and visited for quite a while after service. It was a very good night.

We are expecting great things the next five nights. Pray that God will give us souls from this community and good weather to have church. Thanks for reading and may God bless you all.

Odie's post went up late yesterday. She had it ready Friday night and I scheduled it for posting Saturday morning but for some reason it did not go live. We were all busy with the tent set up most of the day so she did not mention it to me until Saturday evening. It was a great post so if you missed it you can go back and read it HERE. Here is the view front seat of the BoggsMobile at the Walmart Supercenter in Champaign, Illinois.

After a pretty good night's rest in Champaign, Illinois we zoomed over to Indianapolis and picked up the trailer. It was parked at Shelby St. Pentecostal Church for the last three weeks and it was just as we left it. I appreciate Pastor Carlos Burdine and his folks for allowing us to park it there.

We pulled in, unhooked the Green Machine, hooked up the trailer and loaded the Green Machine in the trailer in 20 minutes. 

We were definitely on a roll but things pretty much went haywire from there. It was only two turns and a few miles to the four lane road that would carry us south toward Bedford.  I had scoped out the road and turns on Google maps and it looked great. We were almost to the four lane when the road suddenly closed with no prior warning.

We were at a very narrow intersection and I had to turn right or left. I could not go straight on the road we had planned. I chose to follow the detour signs and turn north and look for a road that could take me either west to the four lane or east which was the direction I had came. I was hoping it was leading me down a road I could get through with the bus and trailer. 

That very first turn was pretty hairy. Everybody had to back up for me to get through but the fun part was yet to come. The detour came to a T and I had to turn left over an impossible for me to cross rail road track or turn right at an impossibly narrow road with signs, guard rails and telephone poles. I could not cross the tracks so I "chose" the right turn.

I pulled completely in the left (wrong) lane and waited my turn. Everybody had to back up quite a ways and I cleared a telephone pole with only inches to spare. The BoggsMobile would have been close by itself in that turn but the tent trailer was incredibly close!

Then I had to back track several miles through very heavy traffic. By the time I was headed south again I had probably lost 40 minutes and my nerves were pretty much shot.

We pulled into Springville about 5:00 PM with no trouble. In just a few minutes the Green Machine was unloaded from the trailer, the trailer was unhooked and put in place by Bro. Lakes and his truck, the bus was parked and the utilities were hooked up.

We did have one more exciting moment. When I opened the panel on the building I found it was inhabited by several wasps. I evicted them and then I noticed I had several larger friends to contend with. They looked like hornets but I could not figure out where they were coming from. Then I noticed the bottom of the panel.

I found a board and crushed the nest, sending several hornets into eternity. I missed one and once he discovered who the enemy was he came straight for my forehead. One very lucky and solid swing of the 2x4 later he was on the ground and my right Croc finished him off. I had a very bad experience with hornets when I was a kid and I do not care to repeat it!

The tent is up in Springville, Indiana. 



I will try to post some pictures of it going up later in the week. Pray for tent revival beginning tonight.

Travel Day From Nebraska to Illinois

July 21st 1996, Kayla Jo Morgan was born. For nearly 18 years she has brightened our lives. Now on Sunday she graduates from Hillsboro High School. Congratulations, Kayla, we are proud of you!

I can not believe another one of my first cousins has completed school. Kayla knows she will always be my baby girl. She has already started her college classes and plans to continue in the fall.

I have an archive of memories of Kayla. Ask me about them when you see me. Here are a few of my favorites. 

When she was little my uncle had his tackle box out. Kayla picked up his "stink bait" acted like she smelled it, then told her sister Courtney it smelled so good. Courtney  wanted to smell, of course it smells the exact opposite of good. As you can tell she is a prankster like my Mother. 

A few years ago Kayla told me she loved her birthday present. She said my favorite Bath and Body Works frangrance is Pea Wee. She meant to say Sweat Pea. 

One more Kayla story and I will quit. Last summer Kayla was typing an email for school. She said,"Odie, where is the Roman Numeral key on the keyboard?"

I really did have to Laugh Out Loud on that one. 

I love my cousin so much!! She is an excellent student. She is a National Honor Society Member. I wish I could be cheering loudly as she receives her diploma Sunday but I will be in Indiana in tent revival.
