Baptismal Service

Is that a pool under your tent? Well, sort of...

Today it is a baptistry. Pastor Darrell Meadow wanted to baptize his new converts under the tent. He had some that needed to be baptized and hopefully some that have prayed this week will join in too.

We will have Sunday School and church inside this morning and then we will have the baptizing as part of the final service under the tent tonight. We are super excited about it!

Come join us if you can.

God bless all of the Fathers this morning. Happy Father's Day!

Wheel chair Battery Change

Yesterday was battery change day. Not the eight big bus batteries that I had planned to change this week but the two batteries in Odie's power wheel chair.

I ordered the bus batteries last week but only four of them came in. The rest will not be in until at least Tuesday. I plan to be farther away from the distributor by then but I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Odie's chair requires sealed gel type batteries and she found a good deal on them at Batteries Plus in Tulsa Wednesday. I had not replaced the ones in this chair and it was much more difficult than her previous chair. As you can see I had to pretty much take it completely apart.

In just a few minutes they were in and Odie was ready to go. I listed the old batteries on Craigslist for free. They lasted about three minutes. They should work great for somebody that uses their chair close to electricity all the time.

We had more first time visitors at tent revival tonight. God is helping each night. Thanks for praying.

Extra Grease!

There is a Ron's a couple of miles from us in Claremore so some of us went there for lunch Wednesday. I ordered a Double Big Daddy and it was very good.

This Ron's tends to be a little less greasy than some of the other locations. Regular readers know that my motto for food is Greasy and Cheesey! Less grease is not good.

At this Ron's I always tell the waitress to instruct the cooks to leave the grease in the hamburger. They always get a kick out of it but I assure them I am serious.

This waitress made a note of it on the ticket for the cooks to read...

Isn't that hilarious? "Extra Grease" Soooo funny!

Service was great again last night. We had several first time visitors. God is reeling them in!

Forgiveness

God is moving under the tent and anticipation is building each night. We are having a good amount of visitors and the church folks are reporting that many more are promising to come. Please pray for those that need God desperately. If they will open their hearts we know God is prepared to do the miraculous.

Bro. Jimmy Millikin, Sis. Shauna and Bro. Marty Millikin are singing great each night. Last night was wonderful!

After the singing Bro. Jimmy preached to a great crowd on "Forgiveness." It was a super message. The Lord helped him tremendously and we had a great altar service.

We praise God for the opportunity to work with this talented and Godly family in tent revivals. Bro. Jimmy has a campmeeting to preach the latter part of this week and we are sure going to miss them. He plans to be back by Sunday.

Thanks for praying for our family and these meetings. The weather was near perfect last night and it looks good the next two nights. They keep putting storms in the forecast and then taking them out. It is all in God's hands.

Good News/Not So Good News

I took the new tire to the local Firestone dealer in Claremore yesterday and received some good news.
My brand new $189 tire that struggled to hold air on the way here appears to be in fine shape.

It has no punctures, broken belts or weak spots that they could see at all. It seems the tread and side walls suffered no damage from running at 40lbs of pressure until we noticed it in Missouri.

They said it was mounted correctly and sealed good on the rim. It is in near perfect balance and the metal valve stem is as good as new.

That's all good news! Then where is all the air going? That is a very good question.

The last time I aired it up to 80lbs it was down in the low 40s in 20-25 miles! The air has to be escaping some where. Right?

Correct! That is where the not so good news comes in to the picture. The new tire is not leaking but the beautiful aluminum wheel is leaking!

Fortunately the spare is mounted on an aluminum wheel as well so I still have six good wheels. I am looking this week for an inexpensive used replacement. If I can not find one it is no big deal. I can mount the spare on a cheap steal rim and be good to go.

So even not so good news isn't really completely bad news. I am thankful the tire seems to have escaped unscathed AND I am Not in a position where I Must spend $150-200 on a new aluminum wheel. Praise God!

Tent revival is going great! Bro. Millikin was supposed to preach last night but somebody did not exercise restraint. Thank God for the Fifth Amendment or I might say too much right now.

The folks responded good and we had lots of visitors too. I can not wait to see what God is going to do!

Mexican for lunch today so I know that will be good too!
