Revival in Pictures - South Mission, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

We closed revival last night at South Mission Free Holiness Church. We had a wonderful time with Pastor Leon Rich and his folks. They have been so good to us and we appreciate their hospitality and friendship.

This is another revival that we wish we could stay a while longer. Of course we felt the same way last week and the week before and the week before... Lol! I guess we need to start scheduling longer revivals but Kelly Jo says that two week revivals feel too much like pastoring...

Below are some pictures from the week of revival. For some reason we didn't take as many as normal. Maybe Odie can make up for it next week.

God bless you all...

Odie’s View
From The Back.”
Hello Friends!!  It is hard to believe I am beginning volume 10 of our “On The Road Again” Newsletter.  God has carried us many miles down countless roads in the last 9 years.  It has been a wonderful journey!  We have had some bumps but we thank God for His sustaining grace!!!
2012 has already been a great year of blessing.  We have been in amazing services.
When I left you in 2011 we were home for the Holidays.
While in the area we had the privilege to be in service with Pastor Bill Lamb in Lebanon, Pastor Rex Lloyd in Waynesville, Pastor Danny Morgan in Hillsboro, Pastor Brian Hisle in New Castle, Indiana, Pastor Tim Webb in Burlington, Kentucky and Pastor Kevin Lloyd in Dayton. We had a grand time each place and we are thankful for the warm welcome by these pastors and congregations!!!
We also visited Pastor Donald Pierce in Hamilton for the Millikins Christmas service. It was wonderful as well.
Some of you know my Uncle Tommy Boggs.  He lost his job 3 years ago at GM.  He has been working hard and as of December he finished his RN  degree.  I am so proud of him!!  Congratulations, Tommy!!!
We had a superb Christmas with all of our family.  We were with the Morgans on Christmas Eve and the Boggs on Christmas Day.  It was a time of fun, food and family laughter!  We are  blessed with a wonderful family!  We love you!!
Christmas morning we celebrated the birth of our Savior with our Pastor Bennie Sutherland and our home church Dryden Road Pentecostal Church.  Also we got to be in two nights of the New Years revival at Dryden Road.  Bro. Bill Preskit preached great.  I know I say this a lot but I am so thankful for my church family!!  I love you all!!!
Our new year began in Oklahoma.  We spent a couple days with the Landress and Blankenship families while working on the bus.  Thanks to Bro. Larry Landress for helping Dad with some maintenance on the BoggsMobile.
Trinity Holiness Church was our first revival of the year.  From the first service it was good.  We had an excellent time with Pastor Billy Ray Hudson and all our friends in Blair, Oklahoma.  We enjoyed getting to see long time friends and meeting new friends too!!  They made us feel right at home.
Neosho, Missouri was our next stopping place.  This was our first time with Pastor James Link and the great folks at Victory Assembly.  Again we were able to see many familiar faces, and meet new friends.  God has good people everywhere!!  I am glad we get the blessing of knowing so many of them!!
10 years in a row now we have made the January journey to Weir, Kansas.  This may have been the best revival we have had at Faith Tabernacle yet.  God moved every service.  Pastor James Fellers was suffering from gout and the Lord healed him instantly!  Others were healed of other problems.  I believe everyone who was there can say their faith was built.  I know my faith was encouraged.
Currently we are at South Mission in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  It is great to be back with Pastor Leon Rich and the fine folks here.  We are having great services and I am so excited to see what God is going to do next.
Before revival we sang at a Benefit for South Mission.  They are planning on building a new building.  We had a great time singing with The Crafton Trio, Derek and Dilan Rich, Bro. George Davis and others.  We had a great crowd.   It was so exciting to see many of our friends!!  Thanks to Bro. Jimmie Ratcliff and Bro. Ben Brock for playing bass and drums for us.
We are excited about the summer.  The new tent will be finished in a few days.  Dad plans to order the chairs this week.  The first tent revival will be next month in Alabama.  Please keep us in your prayers!  For all the up to  date information you can visit www.boggsblogs.com
Well, I hear the engine starting so I better go ‘cause we’re On the Road Again.

Tent Chairs Are On The Way!

We are only about 2 weeks from the completion of the tent we ordered from Miami Missionary Tent Company and yesterday I ordered 200 chairs for the tent. Who needs 200 lightweight folding chairs? Me, apparently...

The chairs are $8.85 each when ordered in bulk so 200 chairs comes to $1770. Shipping by a freight carrier that will ship to a place without a loading dock is $284.84. That comes to $2018.84 or just under $10.10 per chair. Not too bad considering some of the early quotes I received for good chairs and these seem to be good chairs that will be light and small enough to carry.

We have had $600 come in for the chairs in the last few days. One couple gave $100 and Bro. Tim and Sis. Sarah Hopkins from Miami, Oklahoma gave $500 toward the chairs. That gives us $950 and that will cover 95 of the 200 chairs. I will have about 30 days to pay on a cash basis and I am sure we will have the rest by then. Praise God for his provision and the faith he gives us to operate. He has pointed us in the direction of tent revivals and He is well able to provide the necessary resources! God has certainly done it so far! Thank you Bro. Tim and Sis. Sarah for your sacrificial giving that lifted a big burden from us. I know God will bless you.

I am having the chairs shipped to Pastor Scott Morris in Richton, Mississippi. He has been so kind to allow our tent trailer to park there over the winter so that's where I need the chairs to go. I hope to coordinate the shipping so that the chairs arrive while I am in the area the last week of February. I want to be there in order to inspect them and load them in the trailer. I should find out shipping arrangements in a few days. If I am not there, Bro. Morris will handle it for me. He has been a super help in the whole tent revival effort.

Which color chair did I order? Was there ever any question?

Some of the churches we are taking the tent to this summer and fall are preparing even now for God to do a work in their communities. They are fasting, praying and working in anticipation of souls being brought into the kingdom of God. They are as excited as I am and I believe God will honor their labor and preparation. There is really no telling what God is going to do. Please pray that God will save, heal and deliver in these tent revivals!

Revival is going wonderful at South Mission Holiness and Pastor Leon Rich this week. We will have more pictures from there I am sure. God bless you all...

Back in Ron's Country!

We are back in Ron's Country!

This is a Ron's Double Big Daddy! One pound of hamburger in two thin patties, three slices of cheese, grilled onions, raw onions, lettuce, pickles and mustard. Oh and leave in the grease!

Kelly Jo and I had to make a run yesterday to Guitar Center for a few things (Stocking up on cords and such for tent revivals) and one of our favorite Ron's locations at 71st and Mingo just happens to be right across the road. I haven't had a Double Big Daddy since last June so I was more than ready. We should be close to Ron's for about three weeks so this "may" not be my last one.....

If you can beat that hamburger I would like to know about it!

Benefit Singing 1/28/12

Here are a few pictures that we promised from the singing Saturday night.

John Mills ran the Gospel station 900 KSGL in Wichita, Kansas for many years. He was so kind to us when we lived there. He took Odie under his wing at the station. They even had a weekly "John and Odie" show until we moved from Wichita. John and his family have relocated to the Tulsa area and it was so good to see them at the singing.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

We made the trip to Broken Arrow in the Tulsa area just fine on Saturday. The singing was in the Summit Christian School auditorium and was a benefit for South Mission Holiness Church building program. We had a great singing and a lot of fun along the way. Odie took some pictures and we will try to post them later in the week.

We started revival Sunday morning at South Mission for Pastor Leon Rich. We have been here for revival once before in 2010 so we settled right in and had church yesterday. They responded good in the altar service in the morning and evening service. There is no telling what God can do for His people so we are expecting great things again this week.

Pastor Nathan Conner and some of the Hilldale folks came last night and we enjoyed their fellowship. They have fifth Sunday service in the afternoon so they were free last night. I was great to see them again. You can read more about our great experiences at the Hilldale church HERE. There are several post following that one about our friends at Hilldale.

Hope you all are well. God bless you...
