A Visit to Braum's

Braum's

A trip to Texas, Oklahoma or Kansas would not be complete without a stop to Braum's for ice cream. The day we spent in Ft. Worth at the Prevost shop we had a craving for some Good Ice Cream! That evening we called Bro. Kenneth & Sis. Andra Rowe and asked them to meet us at Braum's near their home. It was so good! The fellowship and the ice cream was good

This custom Banana Split was mine and it was tremendous. It had a banana, two scoops of Cappuccino Chunky Chocolate and one scoop of Chocolate Almond. It was topped with Chocolate Sauce, Strawberry Sauce, Whipped Cream, Pecans and Cherries! Wow!

It looks so good you can almost taste it, can't you? Please don't lick your computer screen, especially in public!

Gaither Homcoming

Friday the Isaacs were with the Gaither Homecoming crew in Fort Worth, Texas. I was so happy for the rare occasion to be with Aunt Lilly, Ben, Sonya and Becky! Both of our crazy schedules do not allow us to cross paths very often.

Everyone that knows me is aware that I am a huge Isaacs fan, and I love to hear them live! Of course, the Isaacs hit a home run with their portion of evening. I am already looking forward to the next time I get to be with them.

Others also sang Friday night. Everyone did excellent job!! It is a night we will be laughing about for a long time!

I go picture crazy at a concert so I will only give you a highlight.

Bill Gaither

Gordon Mote

A highlight for us was to get see Gordon! We had the opportunity to meet him and visit with him. He is an award winning musician and fabulous singer.

Charlotte Ritchie is another well known name around our house!

Charlotte is an amazing singer! Her husband Greg has played drums on three of our projects.

They have been on our favorite list for years.

The Martins singing with their tight family harmony

Gene McDonald hitting the low notes

Lynda Randal is a sweet lady and sings beautifully.

The Hoppers doing what they do best

Now for the Isaacs

Gordon Mote playing blueuegrass piano

Sonya is expecting a baby in July. I am anxious to see my new cousin!

Ben one of the greatest people I know!

Gaither Vocal Band

Wow what a performance! This G.V.B. lineup makes for a powerful blend! They closed their set with a moving rendition of He's Alive!

That is all for now. It was night of awesome singing, visiting with family and lots of laughter!!

New Brakes For The BoggsMobile

As I said the other day, we detoured through Ft. Worth, Texas to have new front brakes put on the BoggsMobile. It was a painful but necessary process. At 232,000 miles, complete replacement of the rotors was premature but as you can see in the pictures below, they were cracked pretty badly.

Evidently the brakes had been very hot at some point in the past. The BoggsMobile had 178,000 miles on it when we bought it so there is no telling where it has been or how it was driven in its past life. Lol! I am very careful to drive nice and easy so hopefully these brakes will last until the Lord comes back.

This was our first visit to Prevost in Ft. Worth but it was a great experience just like it is in Nashville. The Prevost people really know how to run a business and train their employees accordingly. That is unbelievably rare these days and they deserve to be commended for it.

Here are some pictures. I realize some won't be interested in pictures like these but hopefully you can endure it until the next post.

God bless,

Davy

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers! May God bless you on your special day.

We would like to especially wish our Mothers a Happy Mother's Day. We love you both very much.

The first picture is of Kelly Jo's Mom, Betty Morgan with her grandson Seth and Odie in the background.

The second is my Mom, Martha Boggs with her beautiful daughters in law.

Happy Mother's Day!

Wrecked Prevost

This is one of the reasons we ask you to pray for us on the road on a regular basis.

We pulled into the Prevost shop in Ft. Worth Wednesday evening and this is one of the first buses I saw. My heart sank when I saw the front...

Then my pulse went through the roof when I saw the back...

This could happen so easy. It looks like somebody pulled or swerved in front of him or stopped too quick and he ALMOST stopped in time.  Evidently whatever was following him ALMOST stopped in time as well.

Yesterday within 15 miles of here in Dallas a gravel truck pulled into the Hwy in front of me. It was a construction zone and I was driving slow but I stood on the brakes to get stopped.

I thought I was going to eat the back of that trailer and the truth is he probably didn't even know I was back there. He made an easy mistake to make and never realized it.  While I was trying to get stopped or swerve or whatever I was also wondering what was trying to get stopped behind me.

So pulling in last night, I was thinking, "That could have been us!" Thank God he helped us yesterday and does help us every time we travel.

Again, that's one of the reasons why I say so often, please pray for us on a regular basis.

They are working on my front brakes today. I will probably post pictures tomorrow.

God bless you all and PLEASE PRAY FOR US!

Pine Prairie, Louisiana

Wow! We have had four awesome services at Christian Tabernacle in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. We ended up with a few extra days and Pastor Barry Gautreaux invited us by and God was surely in it. Each service was absolutely powerful. I thank God that He still visits His people in these troublesome times. We have enjoyed the presence of the Lord as He challenged us each night.

We closed Tuesday night because we have an appointment Thursday morning at Prevost in Ft. Worth, Texas for the BoggsMobile. Pine Prairie is about 375+ miles from Ft. Worth so we are driving that today. We are having the front brakes worked so we will probably be there most of the day tomorrow. We are supposed to start revival in Morrow, Arkansas Sunday morning so we should have plenty of time if all goes well.

Thanks for praying for us each day.
