Sunday At Little Rock

Sunday we began revival at Little Rock. No, not Little Rock, Arkansas but Little Rock Assembly in Waynesboro, Mississippi. We are thrilled to be back with Pastor Jason Merritt and his folks and we are looking forward to the blessings of the Lord.

We had two good services yesterday and last night was very good in the altar service. Thank God for speaking to his people and working in our lives. His incredible love for people is absolutely amazing. Praise God for His help.

The last time we were here in February 2013 we had floods, storms and tornadoes all over this area. It was really bad. In fact a tornado hit right down the road during church that Sunday night. It was pretty exciting for a few days.

But what we remember most about that revival was sickness. Kelly Jo and I were both sick that week. We were sick when we arrived and still sick when we left. I do not think both of us have been that sick at the same time in nearly 30 years of marriage.

Our part of the revival that year was horrible. We had no voices to sing and I had no voice to preach and we felt like mud. All we could do was squeek and squawk a little. But even though we could not add much with our singing or preaching, the church had revival any way. I remember telling them that they did not need us here. We were just an excuse to have a revival.

I am so glad they gave us another chance and invited us back. We have worked very hard to arrive this year healthy and strong! So far we are doing good. We are expecting more good health and more good services by God's grace.

I hope you had a great Sunday. Here are a few pictures from Little Rock yesterday. Thanks for reading.

View Out The Front Window February 8, 2015

We were parked in the country most of this week and the surrounding area was beautiful. Here is our view at Red Creek Church of God our the front window.

And out the front door.

We moved to Little Rock Assembly Saturday afternoon. It is a whole lot closer to town but is still in the county. Here is our view our the front door at Little Rock.

And out the front window.

Update:

We are starting revival this morning at Little Rock Assembly in Waynesboro, Mississippi by God's grace. We are planning to have services every night through Wednesday night. If you are in this area we would love to have you.

Please pray for the folks in this area. There was a young man in the community that died tragically this week. His family is closely connected to some of the church folks here and they need God to help them.

We still have very little phone service here. Odie may lose her mind before long! I hope you have a great Sunday.

Hearing The Isaacs Again

Hey friends!  It is Odie writing to you from Mississippi. Today we will move the BoggsMobile to Waynesboro, Mississippi. We are looking forward to a good week at Little Rock Assembly.

This past week we have had an excellent time at Red Creek Church of God. The Lord graced us with His presence all three services. We really appreciate Pastor Tom Newberry and his folks for all their kindness.

Because we closed Wednesday night we had Thursday and Friday night off. Of course we managed to find some place to go to church both nights. I am sure that Dad will tell you about Friday night but I want to tell you about Thursday night.

When I checked the Isaacs' schedule I found they were singing Thursday night at a small Baptist Church. Thursday we loaded up in the Green Machine and headed down to the panhandle. Just a couple Saturdays ago I told you I had no clue when I would see the Isaacs again. It happened quicker than I anticipated but I am excited to see them every time.

It was mid afternoon when we arrived at the church. We enjoyed catching part of their sound check and visiting with our family. The sweet people at Mt Zion welcomed us with opened arms right along with the Isaacs. They were really kind to us and made us feel right at home.

This was our favorite setup for an Isaacs concert. The Isaacs were the only group on the lineup and they could sing as long as they wanted. We had front row seats. It felt like I was getting a personal concert.  This was the Isaacs first time singing at this church. The building was soon packed to overflowing and many in the crowd were seeing the Isaacs for the first time.

The Isaacs started it off with "Walk On". Then the concert was on a roll. It continued to get better with every note. There is no way I could pick my favorite song of the night.  All in one evening we laughed and cried. It was a power packed night.

They did a mix of old and new songs. I love the new songs but the old ones are better than they were over 20 years ago when released. As I girl I remember thinking, "It can not get any better". Well I  was way wrong, because they are absolutely better now.

This is a day I want remember for a long time. It was a super great evening. It would be great if you could see them some time. The Isaacs schedule is listed at www.theisaacs.com. It is worth a trip to see them in person.

Aunt Lily, Ben, Sonya, Becky, Mark, Levi, Justin, Ayden, and Vee Vee we loved getting to see you all again. Thank you for making the night awesome for me. I love you all so much!!

Have a good weekend. I will leave you with pictures to finish the story.
