Central City, Kentucky Revival in Pictues

We are always so happy to visit Trinity Pentecostal Church near Central City, Kentucky. Pastor Alan Harris and Sis. Tammy are dear friends and we love being with them and their church. God has moved in each service and we are so thankful for that.

We appreciate Pastor Harris and the church for taking such good care of us. They always go the extra mile in making sure we have everything we need. I know God will bless them for their kindness. You can find out more about their church Here.

After church we loaded the sound system in the Green Machine and drove to the BoggsMobile at Prevost. It was completely loaded but the little car handled it very well. We are very glad to be back in our home!

Today (Friday) we will load up in Nashville and make our way to Dothan, Alabama. We are watching the weather closely on our route down there. It is probably inevitable to run into rain from the Isaac storm system but we want to do everything we can to avoid the severe weather. Pray that God will guide us as we make decisions in the coming days.

I hope you enjoy all of the pictures from Central City.

Travel Day During Revival

Does this place look familiar?

As much as I like this place and I am glad it is there, it is too expensive to visit often! But sometimes we must go.

Wednesday we cranked the BoggsMobile, hooked up the trailer and headed to Prevost in Nashville. I have developed an air leak by the drive axle and felt like I should get it fixed while I was so close.  They had an opening Wednesday afternoon so I took it.

It is only about 112 miles so it did not take us long. We stopped for diesel in Franklin, Kentucky and a bite to eat but that is the only time we stopped.

I could hear the leak when I arrived but by the time they got me in it had stopped. They are trying to duplicate it but have not been able to do so yet. I hope I can get that taken care of while there.

I also had them replace the drivers side windshield that cracked on the way back from Montana. That needed to be done and the windshields are usually cheaper there than any where else. It takes less than 30 minutes to put it in at a windshield shop. The last place charged $80 to install. I am interested in seeing how long it took Prevost, especially at $100+ an hour.

We drove the Green Machine back for church last night. We will go back to the bus tonight after church or early in the morning since tonight is the last night of revival. Revival has been very good. God has been blessing and helping each service. I hope to post some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for all your prayers.

Does God Care For Refrigerators?

Does God Care For Refrigerators?

Well, I know that God cares for people that own refrigerators. Yes, it is an idea that I have wrote about before but it was made new to me last night.

Bro. John and Sis. Debbie Eaton came to revival at Central City Monday night. In fact we had several Pastors last night and we sure appreciate their fellowship.

Sis. Debbie testified about something that happened during our revival in Evansville the week of Easter. She said I started praying over possible needs in the congregation.

I imagine I was saying something like this. "Lord save a lost person here tonight. Bring a wayward boy home. Put a family back together. Give somebody a job, Heal a sick body..." You get the idea?

Then she said in that prayer I said, "...and heal somebody's refrigerator." Sis. Debbie took that one for herself. She had a sick refrigerator at home and she believed God could fix it.

You know what God did? Of course you do. God healed Sis. Debbie Eaton's refrigerator and it has been working fine for months!

Does God care that much about the Eaton's refrigerator? I have seen it before and although it was nice it did not seem THAT special.

You reckon God is partial to a certain brand of refrigerators? You think He prefers a side by side or a single door, ice maker or no ice maker?

I do not think God is much concerned about any of those particulars but He loves Debbie Eaton and He responds to her faith. God cares about what she needs and what is troubling her.

God has never expressed to me any feeling about the BoggsMobile, the tent, the trailer, the Green Machine or any other piece of equipment that we use to live and spread the gospel. He has never spoken to me about the importance of my bank balance, the quality of food I eat or the price of diesel.

But God has proven His love for me over and over by healing, fixing and moving in those areas of my life. Not because those things affect Him but He knows they affect me!

God is not affected by "things" or "situations" but He knows we are!

God loves you, friend. He will hear your prayer. He will respond to your faith. He is concerned about what concerns you.

Do not be afraid to tell God about the situations of life that are affecting you! Your dead battery, flat tire, leaky roof or broken refrigerator does not shake God one ounce. But He knows each problem has the potential to shake you and that is important!

Tell it to Jesus! He cares about you, friend! Tell Him what shakes you. Tell Him what causes your heart to fear. Tell Him the source of your trembling.

You may be surprised...

Your refrigerator may cool better than it did when it was new!

Travel Day and Homecoming in Central City, Kentucky

We were up early on Saturday to prepare for our trip to Central City, Kentucky. Bro. and Sis. Landress pulled out first and we followed a few minutes later.

We went by Dodds Church to load the Green Machine in the tent trailer an hook the trailer to the BoggsMobile. When that was finished we headed southeast.

The trip to Central City was smooth. Pastor Alan Harris had found a place to drop the trailer since we can not get it in the entrance to his church. We took care of that then went on to the church.

After setting up the sound system we met them at the local Mexican place for some good food. I was in bed by 9:00 and slept like a baby.

We had a great Homecoming on Sunday with a good meal and a big crowd for the singing in the afternoon.

Are you starting to see a pattern here? This is our third Homecoming in a row! These pastors know that a fat preacher will NOT preach too long with a big Homecoming meal waiting in the fellowship hall.

Whatever the reason, it has been good!

We are in revival with Bro. Harris at Central City until Thursday night. We are looking for some great services. Pray for God to help us.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Indoor 2012 Dryden Road Pentecostal Church notes

Odie compiled a list of all the preaching during the 2012 Indoor Fellowship Meeting at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church. You will find that list below.

God spoke to us every service through the preaching of His Word and we are very thankful for it. Several folks were saved and touched during the week. It was a wonderful meeting. Praise God!

I would like to say thank you to our Pastor, Bro. Bennie Sutherland and all our home church that works so hard to have campmeeting. It is not easy. It is not cheap. But please know we appreciate your effort so very much!

If you want to see pictures from the Dryden Rd. meeting please click on the two previous posts.

God bless,

Davy
