There is one common denominator in each picture below. It is my beautiful Mother. Today is her birthday and I want wish her a very Happy Birthday! I love you so very much, Mom!
Leave her a Happy Birthday wish in the comments. Maybe that will make up for her birthday card not reaching her in time. Lol

Day Trip To D.C.
Yesterday Sis. Taylor took Mom and I to Washington D.C. We have been there twice before, but it was nice to visit again. I love the history of our Nation.
Mom and I went on a tour of the Capitol. We have driven by but had never been inside. It was so neat to be in the Rotunda, the Cript, and the Statue Hall of the Capitol. The tour kept us moving alot. There was not much time for pics. We did get a few phone pics, I forgot my big camera.
Capitol Building
The Dome
A portion of the beautiful paintings circling the Rotunda. Different scenes depict historic events of our, country.
Statue Hall is the former meeting place of The House of Representatives. John Quincey Adams desk used to be at this spot.
We tried to get tickets to go up in the Washington Monument. They were sold out for the day.
After the Capitol we went to the Newseum, it is a news museum. It was an extremely interesting place! We did not have enough time to see much of it. I needed a couple of days since I am a news junkie.
A piece of the Berlin Wall
They had a nice exhibit on 9-11-01. It included many interesting things. One thing they have displayed is a, broadcast antenna. It was on top of the Towers.
It was neat to see interviews of the journalist who were on the front lines bringing us the news that horrible day. They risked their lives to do their jobs. These men and woman were shocked and grieving just like the rest of us. I was once again reminded of sitting on my parents bed all day glued to the radio. I am thankful someone was there willing to be persistent and tell the world what was happening!

We had a great day!! I am sure we will remember it for a long time. Thanks to Sis. Taylor for showing us around.

Bristow Assembly in Bristow, Virginia
We started revival Sunday morning at Bristow Assembly in Bristow, Virginia. This is our second revival here and Pastor Ken Taylor and his folks have welcomed us back with open arms. We are very thankful for all the nice people that God has brought into our lives and these folks are right there at the top of the list.
Monday night our dear friend from Montana, Pastor Michael Metzger dropped in and surprised us. He came to preach the funeral for Pastor Fred Goldizen in West Virginia and drove over to be in revival. It was so good to see him and we appreciate the special effort he made to come and be with us in service. He brought Bro. Bob Jeffries from West Virginia with him and it was nice to meet him too.
Kelly Jo snapped some pictures with my phone last night and you can see them below.
God bless you all.

Wrapping Up And Moving On
We wrapped up a great week of tent revival in Elkton, Virginia on Friday night. Bro. Eddie Deane ran the services and the Deanes sang each night and drew the crowds in. We were so privileged to work with them and look forward to working with them again starting on the 31st near Ruckersville, Virginia. The Sandy Bottom church supported the tent revival with their attendance, finance and participation. We could not have done it without them. May God bless Pastor Buzzy Deane and his fine congregation.
We had great services and survived the heat quite nicely. It cooled off some each evening and we are really thankful for that. The tent came down fine last night and we had plenty of help. The tent revivals involve a lot of hard work and we appreciate every body pitching in.
We traveled to Bristow, Virginia today and we plan to start revival here in the morning for Pastor Ken Taylor. We are expecting God to meet with us here as well. Keep us in your prayers.

The Three Bears
Hey Friends!
We are having a wonderful week in Virginia. The tent revival services have been awesome. It is extra special this week because Mom's parents came from Ohio to visit us. It is so good to spend time with them.
Mom and I went with Gran and Papaw yesterday afternoon. We drove some of the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.
The scenery is so beautiful! Papaw and I were on a hunt for Bear. A Mama Bear and two cubs crossed the road in front of us, at one point Mama was 6-8 feet from me. It was the highlight of our day.
We also spotted a couple deer but they hid from the camera. Today we are going on another drive so I will be on the hunt for more wildlife.
