Food, Friends, Fun and Revival - Not Necessarily in that Order

We are having a great time here at Richton, Mississippi this week. The services have been super great and we are having tremendous fellowship too. Bro. Larry and Sis. Rosemary Landress are preaching in the area and were able to come by for a visit Monday night. It is wonderful to have good friends and the Landress family certainly qualify as some of the best. The have stood by us through thick and thin and then back to thick again.

They have shown up in churches all over America to be with us in revival. In fact, they could probably preach some of my revival sermons from memory! They always have a word of encouragement and bring lots of smiles to our family. We love Bro. Larry and Sis. Rose dearly. Hopefully we will get to see them again next week before they head back to Oklahoma and then Mexico.

Speaking of Mexico, we all when to eat Mexican Monday for lunch.

Bro. Scott and I had the El Burrito Davy and it was delicious!

Tuesday was bright and beautiful. Thank God for a little break from the rain. Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim fixed ribs, chicken, steak, sausage and a bunch of other stuff for us and it was all good. Sis. Kim is one of the best cooks in the country and Bro. Scott is not too shabby himself!

The services have been excellent and we are looking for one more super service tonight. Praise God for His help and His grace. It is so good to see people receiving help from God just in time. It may seem like God is late to us but God is working His plan in our lives.

Pastor Lamar Chapman, Pastor Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris came on Tuesday. It was great to see them all. They were a tremendous blessing to the service. I love it when visitors come and jump right in! We are planning to be in revival with Bro. Kenny next week and then have plans to preach tent revival for Bro. Lamar in April.

Notice the Halo I am wearing in this picture? Sis. Joan said it is because I am standing next to an angel!

That it it for now. I hope you all have a great day. Thanks for reading.

Richton Valentine Banquet

We are having a superb time here in Richton, Mississippi. Everyone treats us like family and we feel right at home.

Saturday night the young people of First Assembly had a Valentine's banquet. They were wonderful to include me. It's was a fun filled evening filled with food, games, laughs and fellowship.

Sis. Jody Henderson is over the youth group here. She did a wonderful job putting the banquet together. Jody is a wonderful young lady. I might just add she is searching for Mr. Right. She is beautiful, talented, polite, spiritual and an all around amazing person!!!! Did I say everything you wanted me to say, Jody? LOL!!!!

I always have a blast hanging out with Jody, Regan and Rylee Morris and all of the young folks here. We had a wonderful time Friday night and Saturday getting ready for the banquet. Bro. Jeffro and Bro. Derrick also were in on some of the preparations. We have many memories to laugh about for a while!!

Revival In Pictures - Richton, Mississippi

We had a great day at Richton, Mississippi. We had two great services and wonderful fellowship with all of our friends. We are looking forward to three more super nights of revival here.

Kelly Jo snapped a picture of Pastor Scott Morris using Odie's mic with her flashy new red cover. She wanted to make sure I posted it for all to see.

We traveled to Richton from Waynesboro on Thursday but we were still sick so that is about all that we accomplished that day. We went to bed early and had a good night's sleep.

Friday Bro. Scott and I took the Green Machine to Laurel, Mississippi to have the brakes worked on. They checked the rear brakes and turned the rotors and changed the pads on the front brakes. We kicked around with the Morris family and ate with them Friday night. We went to bed early that night too!

Kelly Jo and I both were feeling almost good Saturday so after sleeping in, we set up the PA system and then went to town with Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim.  We had a super visit with our friends. We came home early Saturday night and went to bed early. Are you starting to see a pattern here?

Odie stayed behind with Regan and Rylee for a banquet at the church Saturday evening. I think she is going to get a post ready with pictures from that.

Sunday we ate Mexican in Petal, Mississippi and I had them make me a special order burrito. Introducing the "El Burrito Davy." Does it look familiar to any one?

The folks responded great in both services Sunday and I am thankful to God for His help. When I rearranged things so we could go home, not everything fit back in place and this week opened up. We had not planned on coming back to Richton until this fall for tent revival. I appreciate Bro. Scott for asking us to come and I am glad it worked out that we could. I am expecting great things from God this week.

I will let the revival pictures do the rest of the talking. God bless you all.
