Sunday Sanity 7/27/25

 Hey Friends,

Good morning! Earlier this week I attended a fabulous concert with my cousin Courtney and her husband Joey.

The night featured Charity Gayle and CeCe Winans. I plan to share pictures and details of the concert. I am waiting to get more pics from Joey.

The night was great! We enjoyed wonderful singing. It was so encouraging!

CeCe made a statement that is this week's sanity.

“No matter where you are at
go through it with your hands up! He will always show up!”

See you tomorrow!

Throwback Thursday, 7/24/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to spend a moment of your Thursday with us! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I appreciate all of you, but let me know you enjoyed Throwback Thursday 2 weeks ago! You can find that post by clicking here

Two years ago, we visited Kennebunkport, Maine. We absolutely loved this town. We had been there before but knew we had to return for another visit!

Saint Anne’s Chapel was one of our favorite spots that we ever visited as a family. This church is located near the Bush compound in Kennebunkport!

The beautiful chapel and the views surrounding it brought us much peace! We treasured our memories made on this particular day as a family. The day was a gift from God! I treasured it even more today! I truly do not think I will ever forget this special day!

As I reminisce, I am reminded of how blessed I am! I love that we were able to travel and experience so many wonderful things with Dad! I miss him so very much, and my heart aches and wants to be with him! But I hold these memories. I thank God for every special moment!

I will forever be grateful for all the memories we catalog on the blog and YouTube! On our last visit to Saint Ann's Chapel, we were able to sing two songs as a family and capture them on video. The post above has one of the songs. The second one is listed below.

Daily, I am reminded of God's great faithfulness toward me and my family. Thank you, Lord, for your tender mercies! He is truly our rock and provider. We would be lost without Him!

Throwback Thursday, 7/10/25

 Hey Friends,

I am so glad that you chose to spend a moment of your day with us! Thanks for making my day a little brighter!

I am missing my Daddy today. 8 months ago today, his home changed to Heaven. I have been in a reminiscing mood the last couple of days!

One of our YouTube videos came up on my suggested videos a few days ago. I couldn't help but smile! This was a great day spent with my parents! We love St Anne’s Chapel in Maine! It was one of our favorite places to visit! I will forever cherish our time here.

I thought this was a good video to share for Throwback Thursday! I am beyond grateful that my hope is built on Jesus Christ! The waves and storm of life have rocked us this year, but Jesus has been steadfast!

2025 should have been the summer that we made our bi-annual summer trip to the Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New York. Next month we wiill visit Boston, Massachusetts area for a few days.  Sadly, we do not have time to make it to the other Northeast states this time around.

Thank you again for reading!

Happy Birthday America

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today! Have you read the two special posts that we have shared this week?

Sunday was a very special post commemorating my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Yesterday, Thursday, was my mom's birthday.

Thank you to everyone who sent her birthday text, emails, phone calls and videos. Mom really appreciated all of them! She had a great birthday!

The birthdays continue! Today is America's birthday! Happy birthday America! Happy Fourth of July to the rest of you!

Our country was founded 249 years ago today. Our independence from Great Britain was declared on July 4th 1776!

Thank God for our  forefathers who had a vision to create a country. Thank you to each and everyone of them who fought and or died so that we could enjoy the freedoms that we know is the norm today. We are blessed abundantly as Americans!

I am so thankful to be an American. I pray that God continues to bless our great nation, and have mercy upon us! We are in need of God more now than! God, please give our nation revival!

It has been a while since I shared this! Let's listen to the Isaacs sing Star-Spangled Banner.

I will never forget the first time we heard him do it live. It was in a small theater in Louisiana! We were blown away then by their incredible rendition of our national anthem. their version never gets old! This particular video is a trip down memory lane.

Thanks for reading! I will be back tomorrow.

Recording Process In Pictures

 Hey Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! Thank you for stopping by to visit with us.

Mom and I traveled to Hendersonville, Tennessee, earlier this month. We were there for two days. The objective for the trip was to record a new music album.

Ben Isaacs has been encouraging us to record in his studio. He felt it was a step we needed to take now.

We started prepping the song list several months ago. We finalized it in mid-May. Then we were waiting for Ben.

When he contacted Mom at the beginning of June, he said, “How soon can you record?” Our options were to record the next week or wait two months. Six days later, we were in the studio.

I wrote about the recording here, here and here. We had a great time in the studio with Ben.

Ben, we can not thank you enough for your help, encouragement and expertise! We would not be doing the recording without you. Thank you for believing in us! We love you so much!

Our part of the recording is done. As I mentioned previously, the band on tracking Day consisted of my mom, Kelly Jo, on Piano, Brandon Taulbee on bass and Greg Ritchie on drums and percussion. Ben Isaacs is the producer; he also engineered the vocals. Marcus Hyatt engineered on tracking Day.

Now, Ben has been working with a few more musicians to add some other instruments. Then the other vocals will be added.

We are anxious to hear the finished product and share it with you. I hope we have the project back by this fall. Pray we can finish all the behind-the-scenes stuff in a timely manner.

Mom and I tried our best to get pictures while recording. It was hard to get all of them that we would have liked because we were both just a little busy. I have shared a handful of these on the vocal and tracking posts. Today, let's put them all in one place.

Vocal Day

Ben introduced us to Sam’s Place. Best chicken wings ever! I dream about them, they were so good. The wings had a dry rub seasoning and grilled. AMAZING!

Our vocal controls in the booth were labeled with Ben's nicknames for us!😂

That wraps up the pictures from this recording project. I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into the process!
