A Leap Day Birthday

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting from somewhere between Mississippi and Alabama. It is tough to say goodbye to our dear friends and family when we leave Ellisville, Mississippi. We had a terrific time this week with Pastor Kenny Morris and the congregation at First Assembly. I am already looking forward to our next visit here.

Ohio Bound
The week ahead is going to be full of activity. A lot of travel is on the agenda for both me and my parents. Please keep us in your prayers for protection and safe travels. I will be Ohio bound soon. It will be great to be home for a while!

Leap Day Birthday
2020 is a leap year. Every four years, February has 29 days in the month. Today is February 29th, leap day. I hope you are enjoying the extra day this year! Several weeks ago I realized that leap day was going to on a Saturday, which is my day to post. I knew I had to honor the day with a special post.

For most of the world, it may just be an extra day, but it should be a national holiday! It is the birthday of our awesome friend, Bro. Bruce Mayhan!

This is the fourteenth time Bro. Bruce has had an actual birthday. Happy 14th birthday, Bro. Bruce! You are definitely the most mature teenager that I know. You are wise beyond your 14 years. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

Bro. Bruce and Sis. Priscilla have been dear friend ours for many years. It is difficult for me to remember life before we met them. I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. We are blessed greatly to be able to call them our friends. I appreciate the fact that they are my parent's friends, but they have also proven that they are my friends too.

The Mayhans have journeyed thousands of miles to be with us over the years. We literally have no idea when or where they will show up next. It is fun to look at our schedule and guess when we will see them. They are always a breath of fresh air and it is a joy to have them with us. We have collected countless memories over the years! I look forward to many more adventures ahead!

Happy Birthday, Bro. Bruce! We love and appreciate you and Sis. Priscilla! I wish that we could celebrate with you today. If you were in Mississippi, I would have treated you to dinner at Front Porch. I guess we will have to celebrate together down the road somewhere.

I know our faithful blog readers recognize the Mayhans. They definitely make regular appearances here throughout the year. I gathered a handful of pictures from the archives to share today. These are from our past adventures.

I will close with pictures of the Mayhans. Thanks for stopping by to visit with me. I hope you have a great weekend.

The Mayhans shocked us completely in Vermont a few years ago.

This picture was also taken in Vermont.

They were kind enough to invite me to tag along on a day trip to Myrtle Beach when they visited City Reach in North Carolina. We had a blast that day.

Here is another picture in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We were astounded to see them walk up to tent revival.

Revival In Pictures Ellisville, Mississippi

Tonight we are wrapping up another revival at First Assembly in Ellisville, Mississippi. We have been coming here since 2006 and we always have a great time. We have enjoyed this week very much.

These folks are used to spectacular preaching from Pastor Kenny Morris and Pastor Andy Stringfellow. The fact that they are willing to listen to seven sermons from me every year is amazing. That they respond in the altar is even more amazing. We sure appreciate Bro. Kenny inviting us back each year. We love these folks and we are thankful for their friendship.

This week has been good every night and we are expecting one more great night tonight. After this, we will pivot toward our next trip which combines a vacation with some mission exploration. I will tell you more about it next week by God's grace.

Until then, we are ready to have some good revival tonight. Come be with us if you can. There is no telling what God is going to do!

Now I leave you with the Revival In Pictures. Thank you for stopping in.
