Mother’s Day 2026 In Pics

 Hey Friends,

Yesterday was a wonderful Sunday. We spent it going to church twice at DRPC.

Both services were very good. God blessed and helped! Bro. Bennie delivered excellent messages that were encouraging and helpful to us!

Sunday morning, at the end of the service, we honored the mothers. They recognized Sis Sutherland as the Mother of the church. Then they honored the Youngest Mother, Oldest Mother present, the Mother with the most children present, and drew a name for the "Prettiest Mother. Then all the Mothers received a gift.

After service, Mom and I grabbed a quick bite to eat. When our family finished their service, we stopped by Mamaw and Papaw's house. We spent some time with some family members.

Then we had time to head home for a quick nap. Quickly, it was time to go back to church.

A special part of Sunday night was the ordination of two of our DRPC young preachers. We are proud of Bro. Jared Hall and Bro. Luke Hall and Sis. Madison Hall.

Then it was time to honor the class of 2026. We have 3 high school graduates this year.

This made for a full but blessed Sunday! Here are some pictures from our day. See you tomorrow.

Our May Mississippi Fun

 Hey Friends,

Thank you so much for your prayers! We arrived safely back at my Ohio beach cottage last night.

Friday was another extremely smooth travel day. We did experience heavy traffic through Kentucky and Ohio. We are so thankful not to have any other hiccups.

While in Mississippi, we had fun with family and friends. It was great to meet up with Uncle Steve, Deidre, Ben, Chloe Jean and Carson for lunch. The visits end too fast, but I love seeing these special people.

It is always fun to hang out with our Morris family, too. We had a big meal one night prepared by Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim. The food and fellowship were both amazing. Saylor Brooke is so much fun. She loves playing with “Aunt Jo!”

Wednesday afternoon, we had an unplanned lunch meetup. We went to Cracker Barrel after Sis. McDonald's funeral and Bro. Tim, Sis. Ruthie Angel Cauley and Sis. Ginger Allen were eating there too. They invited us to join them. It was wonderful to see and visit with our precious friends.

That is just a glimpse of our week in Mississippi. Thanks for stopping by to see us.
