Throwback Thursday 11/13/25

 Hey Friends,

First off, today let's celebrate! My precious Aunt Theresa Boggs Osborn had a birthday today! Happy Happy birthday, Theresa!

We love you to the moon and back! I am so proud of you. You are a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, friend, and pastor's wife!

Thank you for being awesome! You are a blessing too many people! May God give you a wonderful day and great blessings today.

No doubt about it, you will always be Dad's favorite sister!

I have a couple of Throwback Thursday moments for today

This is Dad’s final A Word For Wednesday  He published this on the last Wednesday of October in 2024. It took all of his strength to get this episode recorded, edited and published. In fact, he begged Mom or I to record this episode for him

HERE is the link to the complete playlist for Dad's weekly Wednesday devotional. I am grateful that we have these videos archived! These messages are still thought-provoking and encouraging!

There is one more thing that happened a year ago today, I do not know if we mentioned it here on the blog. It is a memory that Mom and I will cherish forever! We believe that it is a God moment.

One year ago today, we arrived home to Ohio. Mom, Papaw Danny, and my self were in our car making the drive. My Uncle Danny and Aunt Jeanna were following us.

As we came in to Cincinnati, Ohio. A Southwest Airlines plane flew right in front of us. The plane was very noticeable! Dad’s body made it’s final trip home from Wichita, Kansas on a Southwest Airlines flight.

We came in to Cincinnati at the same time as his flight would have been making it final descent. We could not have planned it on our own to see that plane come in to Cincinnati.

In my mind, it was a Godwink that our hearts needed that very moment. I wish I would have snapped a picture, but I was too shocked in the moment. It is a memory that I will carry in my heart forever!

That is just one of the many way we have seen God work over the last year! I am so thankful that we can depend on God to always be with us. He is always working on our behalf even when I can't see it or fill it God is working! I believe it with all of my heart!

Thanks for reading! See you next time.

The Circle Of One Year

Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining us. Today is a date that is forever imprinted on our hearts. Dad completed his earthly life on 11/10/24.

My mind can not comprehend that my last statement is actually true.  I still feel like my Dad should be a phone call away! He should be walking down to my house in a while to go to lunch.

Instead, we have made a circle of one complete year. 365 days have passed since I hugged him or held his hand!

For Dad, it is just a blink of an eye. He is probably still worshipping at the throne. He is still getting used to his new body. No pain, fully functioning lungs, 100 percent strength. He might be running around worshiping. His end goal was always Heaven, and I have no doubts that he is there now!

Back to the circle of life, here on the Boggs Blogs, Dad often wrote about circles. Long-time readers may remember circle posts at the beginning and end of every tour. He knew all the facts about the trip: highlights, states visited, number of services, and miles traveled. Dad liked keeping track of the circles!

Over the years, we have enjoyed looking back over our lives and connecting dots to make our circle bigger. This happened, or we have these friends or experience because of a specific moment. It was a chain of events from God. Most of the things pointed back to our first evangelism stint in the early 90’s! God’s hand was always at work in our lives.

Dad pastored at New Horizon Holiness Church in Wichita, Kansas, from 1999 to 2003. January 5th 2003, was our last service as pastors. We started a revival that night in Oklahoma City. We were filling in for another evangelist for 2 nights there.

On January 8th, we packed the final things in Wichita  Then we hit the road. First stop was Weir, Kansas. There were just a few revivals on the schedule. We were uncertain of our plans, but God knew it all!

That first revival service in Weir, Kansas, was life-changing for our family! Then we knew evangelism was probably the direction our ministry was supposed to go. How long was it still up in the air.

The next almost 22 years. We crisscrossed the country traveling for ministry. We also traveled to other countries. We called 2 5th-wheel trailers home in that time, and most of the time our home was the BoggsMobile. A 1995 Prevost bus. The entire time we were doing circles! I cannot know the exact number of miles or services, but Dad would have known!

In October 2024, Dad drove the BoggsMobile back to Wichita for another visit. We were excited to be in revival with our friends at Bethany Revival Center. Dad preached 3 services of revival. The final 2 services were scheduled for Sunday.

Then we were supposed to be back on the road. there was I more revival on the schedule for the year. Then we would have completed another circle by coming home to Ohio.

Things did not go according to plan. By Sunday, Dad was suffering horribly with a kidney stone. We prayed all day for him, but he could get little relief. Monday, he went to the hospital.

Sunday afternoon, November 10th, Dad went to his Heavenly home. Dad had suffered long and hard; he was so ready to go home! He let everyone know it, too. COVID, the stroke and the last sickness took a toll on him!

We were not ready for him to leave! Our heart’s cry until the end was for total healing! God chose to give him the ultimate healing!!

We grieve and miss Dad terribly! Mom and I can not fault him for wanting to go home. He was ready! Dad had longed and dreamed of Heaven for decades. His dream became a reality!

Dad completed his circle of life in Wichita, Kansas—a place where he always felt at home. Dad’s real life began on 11/10/24, when He crossed over.

There are two things that we find very interesting, when we stop and think about Dad ‘s circle of life. Mom and I see a circle that began and concluded in Wichita, Kansas. Dad‘s last stint of evangelism began in Wichita, Kansas in 2003,  and it concluded in Wichita in 2024. Also, he began filming his, “A Word For Wednesday” series in Wichita at Bethany Revival Center. The last episode was filmed in the very same place the Tuesday before he got sick.

Daddy, I love you ”more than a hog loves slop!” Today, we remember and honor you for being an incredible person! It was a tremendous honor to be part of your amazing life!

Thank you for your prayers and support for our family! Your love and friendship has meant even more to us this year! we have felt the power of prayer carry us through this year. Mom and I have made it by God's grace, and we will continue to do so one day at a time.

Thoughtful Thursday 8/7/25

 Hey Friends,

You can find Voices From The Valley on the BHC YouTube channel. New episodes
are posted on Tuesdays. I highly recommend this weekly devotion series. It is something my Dad loved for years!

Mom and I watches this week’s episode together. It spoke to our current day situation. We were both encouraged and challenged!

Pastor Brent Gabbard pointed out so many great things. I could have probably done a month full of Sunday Sanity’s from this one devotion.

I decided to share the devotion here before we were even finished. Please watch this short video. You will not be disappointed.

I kept saying, “Oh, Dad would have loved this so much.” Psalms 90:9 was one of his favorite scriptures. We heard him preach it to the youth, old and in between. It was even a common funeral text from Dad.

Thanks for reading and watching! Comment and subscribe to Voices From The Valley!

Throwback Thursday, 7/24/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to spend a moment of your Thursday with us! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I appreciate all of you, but let me know you enjoyed Throwback Thursday 2 weeks ago! You can find that post by clicking here

Two years ago, we visited Kennebunkport, Maine. We absolutely loved this town. We had been there before but knew we had to return for another visit!

Saint Anne’s Chapel was one of our favorite spots that we ever visited as a family. This church is located near the Bush compound in Kennebunkport!

The beautiful chapel and the views surrounding it brought us much peace! We treasured our memories made on this particular day as a family. The day was a gift from God! I treasured it even more today! I truly do not think I will ever forget this special day!

As I reminisce, I am reminded of how blessed I am! I love that we were able to travel and experience so many wonderful things with Dad! I miss him so very much, and my heart aches and wants to be with him! But I hold these memories. I thank God for every special moment!

I will forever be grateful for all the memories we catalog on the blog and YouTube! On our last visit to Saint Ann's Chapel, we were able to sing two songs as a family and capture them on video. The post above has one of the songs. The second one is listed below.

Daily, I am reminded of God's great faithfulness toward me and my family. Thank you, Lord, for your tender mercies! He is truly our rock and provider. We would be lost without Him!

Thank you for reading!

Word For The Weary

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for dropping by today. I appreciate having you here with me!

Earlier this week, I opened my Bible app to read. The verse of the day spoke very deeply to my soul! The verse of scripture scripture can be found in the book of Jeremiah. Now I feel like someone reading this needs to hear this word of encouragement for your circumstances!

Please allow the words of Jeremiah 31:25, wash over your soul. oh, I thank God for his word that gives us strength and comfort!

I am daily living these words! God is my help and in Him do I rejoice! Thank you, God,  for this nugget of encouragement that helped me through a hard day!

Announcement For Our Friends

Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to visit with us today. I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

We know that many of you miss the weekly Word For Wednesday devotions Dad published for a few years. Mom and I miss them too! Thankfully, they are all archived on our YouTube channel!

Several people have told me they have gone back to watch past episodes of Dad's devotions. If you are new here, I encourage you to check them out. Click here to visit our YouTube channel.

I want to share a very special devotional series with you by our friend, Pastor Brent Gabbard! Voices From The Valley is now available on YouTube!

Pastor Brent Gabbard of Bible Holiness Church in Elkton, Virginia, has shared a Tuesday devotional with the BHC church family for many years. Along the way, he started sharing it with close friends as well.

Our family has loved his weekly devotionals! Dad stronly encouraged Bro Brent to let the BHC digital media team post the devotions on their YouTube channel. Dad wanted others to hear the encouraging and challenging devotional series from our dear friend!

A few days ago Bro. Brent let us know he had made the decision to make the devotions public on YouTube. His decision came from the suggestion of the great BHC digital media team, and also to honor our Dad’s wishes!

Mom and I were thrilled! We were so happy, and we knew Dad would have been ecstatic!

Bro. Brent thank you most of all for being an exceptional friend of my Daddy! Also, thank you for honoring him!

Two new videos were released yesterday on the BHC YouTube channel here. Episode zero is , here. It is an introduction to Voices From The Valley. There Bro. Bent tells about the history and vision of the weekly series.

He gave Dad a wonderful shout out! When Mom and I watched the introduction, we were crying tears of happiness!

Episode one was also released yesterday. That is this week's devotion. You can find it by clicking here

I am only posting links to the episodes and BHC’s channel, because I want you to go directly there. A new episode will be posted every Tuesday. don't forget to subscribe to their channel.

I highly recommend Voices From The Valley! I believe it will bless and help you, as it does me! Please let them know that you came from Boggs Family Ministries!

I will close with this little reminder, Mom and I posted a new song to our YouTube channel this week. Thank you for the great feedback!

Thanks again for reading! I will see you tomorrow.

Jesus Paid It All

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to visit! Here are some thoughts I can't get out of my mind. I hope they make sense when I type them out! I am extra grateful today!

God sent His only son, Jesus, to die on the cross. Jesus shed His blood to pay the sin debt of the whole world! Yet, He loves us individually. We are special!

All of us are sinners, and the only way that we could have paid our sin debt is by death. The Bible says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God allows us to have eternal life. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior! Jesus died in our stead! His selfless sacrifice allowed us to live a debt-free life!

The chorus of this old hymn has been running through my mind today. It is a great reminder: I was one stained with sin, but Jesus would wash me whiter than snow! I am no longer marked by!

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Friend, if you do not know my Jesus like I do, please get to know Him today! He paid your sin debt, too! You can know what it is like to have your debt free and clear! Do not wait another moment! It is life-changing!

I can not end this post without saying thank you, Jesus, for paying my debt! I am eternally thankful! Words can never truly express my deepest gratitude. I want to take another moment to thank you for loving me!

I will see you all tomorrow!

God Won’t

 Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking for this Wednesday. Thanks for visiting with me. I may not have A Word For Wednesday video to post. I wish so much that I had a profound devotion from Dad!

I do have song lyrics on my heart today. These are phenomenal words penned by Jimmy Yeary and Sue C. Smith.

This song was recorded by the Nelons before the tragedy that happened in their family this summer. It was realesed on their new project a few months ago.

From the first time I listened to the project God Won't is my favorite track from the album. It is a timely song.

Click the video below to hear this great song. I shared the lyrics below the video. Friend, hold on to this reminder.

God Won’t
Sue C. Smith and Jimmy Yeary

Verse 1
People can look
At where you come from
Mistakes that you’ve made
The damage you’ve done
Count every wrong
And decide that you’ve gone to far

Verse 2
Yeah people are good
At being judge and the jury
They’ll hand down a verdict
Of guilty in a hurry
Not one ounce of grace
They’ll just walk away

Chorus
But God won’t
He ain’t a leaver
He’s a call out His name
And you know that
He’ll be there
The world can say that
You’re on your own
Your last friend
Can leave you alone
But God won’t

Verse 3
No God won’t fail
And God won’t quit
He can handle the fire
He’ll walk right through it
Let ‘them all turn their backs
But just know that

Chorus
God won’t
He ain’t a leaver
He’s a call out His name
And you know that
 He’ll be there
The world can say that
You’re on your own
Your last friend
Can leave you alone
But God won’t

Bridge
If you feel like His love
Is to good to be true
And He’s already given up on you

Chorus
But God won’t
He ain’t a leaver
He’s a call out His name
And you know that
 He’ll be there
The world can say that
You’re on your own
Your last friend
Can leave you alone

Tag
But God won’t
He ain’t a leaver
He’s a call out His name
And you know that
 He’ll be there
Friends can leave you alone
But God won’t

Mom and have a tremendous group of family and friends that are helping us daily. I am amazed every day, when I see the help the Lord sends our way. Thank you each person that prays for us! We absolutely not alone.

I am so thankful that God Won't leave us! We can face life because He is alway there! I am clinging to Him!

See you next time.

God Still Has It All In Control

Hey Friends,

It is Wednesday, I don't have A Word for Wednesday for you. I I do think it would be fitting to post a video featuring Dad.

This was originally posted to our blog and YouTube in February 2021. This is a song from a service in Livingston, Texas. This was recorded at the Beech Creek Assembly with Pastor Don Goodwin.

On this particular Sunday, we were not scheduled to be in Texas. I believe God ordained for us to be in the service. This is just one of the ways that God showed us He was indeed in control!

One week later Covid forever changed our lives. Dad and I were diagnosed with Covid for the first time the following Sunday, January 31, 2021. Dad never fully recovered from Covid and the many health problems that followed after that. One thing we never forget and never will: God is in control!

This powerful service has never strayed far from my memory since it happened. I am so grateful that it was caught on camera and recorded. We forever have the memories with us! I went back last night and rewatched this video. I wanted to hear, in particular, the message that came from God during this song!  It gave me great solace, even now.

Wow, there was no way we could know what the future held for our family. But God was speaking to us even then! Today, I hold onto his promises. I trust that He still has it all in control!

Please take time to watch this video. Also, I will post the link to the post Dad wrote about this day on the blog himself. It is worth rereading!

Click here to see Dad's February 5th 2021 blog post.

Thanks for visiting with me! See you tomorrow. To quote Dad, "Ciao for now."

A Word For Wednesday, A Perfect Prayer For Perilous Times, Boggs Family Ministries

We are happy to bring you Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please watch and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Jude gives us a horrific picture of the apostasy of the last days. But first, he offers a prayer for those of us who live in that apostasy. This prayer is perfect for our perilous times. Jude 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Wow! What an amazing prayer! May God grant us mercy that we desperately need and peace that passes all understanding and wrap us in the love of God that never fails! And the key to that prayer is for God to multiply all of that! God does not add to us, He multiplies His goodness and His attributes in our lives! Praise God!

Thank you for stopping by today.

A Word for Wednesday, How Deeply May I Drink?

We are happy to bring you Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please watch and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. God will supply All your needs. We seem to relate this mostly to money, but God's storehouse contains much more than money. God's riches contain peace, joy, forgiveness, deliverance, love, compassion and millions of other wonderful things for you and you can drink all you want! God has given you the whole glass and you may drink as deeply as you desire.

Thank you for stopping by today.

A Word For Wednesday, Condemned Or Completely Cleansed?

We are happy to bring you Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please watch and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

We live in condemnation and fear because of our sin. We can not escape detection. We can not hide.

Luke 8:17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

We can live in that condemnation or we can live in freedom. We can be forgiven, set free and completely cleansed through Christ.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This story vividly demonstrates that nothing can be hidden forever!
Do You Know This Nail?

Thank God for the cleansing power in the blood of Jesus!

There are times we do things because it is our duty. But doing your duty can make a huge difference in someone's life! Step up to your duty and do it faithfully. You may never know the full effect on the lives of others.

Thank you for watching.
