Crazy Spam Comments

Spam, Spam, Spam. I love the food Spam grilled on a sandwich with cheese and Mayo but I do not particularly care for the comment Spam.

I receive several bogus comments every week on the blog. Sometimes I receive a dozen or more per day. They always include a link to their "personal" website. The website may be something deeply inappropriate or a site that is phishing for your personal information. There is no way I am going to publish comments with all of that.

Every comment comes to me by email first and I can usually tell by their halting English that it is spam before I even see the link. They will use the wrong word in a sentence and I can tell they are not familiar with English. They say something like, "I really like the information I glanced." (Should be saw) or "You gift me a great insight." (Should be gave).

Other times they are so crazy mixed up that I can not make heads or tails of them.
Example:
Definitely consider that that you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the internet the simplest thing to take into account of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed whilst other folks consider worries that they plainly don't recognize about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest as neatly as defined out the whole thing without having side effects, folks could take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thank you, Here is my website.
This one came in this week and made me laugh out loud.
An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a friend who was doing a little research on this. And he actually bought me breakfast due to the fact that I stumbled upon it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending some time to discuss this topic here on your web page. Visit my page here.

Wow! I did not know my writing was that good. If people are buying meals for others that send them to my site it sure looks like I ought to be able to make a living at this writing thing. Yeah right!

Can you see all that I go through for you millions of readers?

Hey, maybe we should have a contest. Let's see who can write the craziest spam comments and still make it onto the blog. How about a new "He Came - The Gospel of Christmas" CD to the craziest comment as decided by the other commenters. OK, all Five million of you battle it out!

IF you link to a suspicious website you do not stand a chance! Lol

I hope you are having a good weekend.

New States Visited and Places to Go!

I mentioned the other day that Courtney traveled to 12 states for the first time while she was with us this summer. I had forgotten that Kelly Jo took pictures of the state signs as we entered.

Indiana

Illinois

Missouri

California

Wisconsin

Minnesota

North Dakota

South Dakota

Iowa

Nebraska

Kansas

Oklahoma

Two of those states were new for our family too. In all of our wondering around out here we had missed Wisconsin and North Dakota.

Now we have been to both and enjoyed them very much. We saw a lot of beautiful country in Wisconsin and North Dakota and met a bunch of friendly people in each state. I have an acquaintance that used to live in Wisconsin and he told me to drive right through because there was nothing to see. Wow! He should have opened his eyes while he lived there!

We have not visited all of the lower 48 states but now we only lack a few in the Northeast. I need to visit Delaware, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine to complete the list.

Kelly Jo needs to visit the states above plus New Jersey and Odie needs all of them plus New Jersey and New York. Oops! Odie needs to add Michigan too. That is a shame because we have preached two revivals just a few miles from Michigan.

I am sure we will make it up to the Northeast in God's good time. Who knows, maybe next year. I want to eat Italian in Boston, Lobster in Maine and see the beauty of Vermont. I am not sure what the other places are known for but I will find out eventually.

Where have you been and where do you want to go?

First Night of Revival in Claremore, Oklahoma

Revival is off to a good start at Westside Holiness Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. We had a good crowd of home folks and some visitors too. I really appreciate the response in the altar service. There is no telling what God will do in lives when we respond to the preaching in the altar.

Kelly and I ate lunch at Ron's Wednesday. The burgers are not as big at this Ron's by a long shot but they are just as tasty. It was so good today.

Their menu's have advertisements for local businesses.

We thought this one was pretty funny.

Weight loss seems at odds with the super greasy and cheesy hamburgers but I guess the ad is reaching the target audience. Lol!

We had two sets of special visitors Wednesday. Bro. and Sis. Landress were in church with us and it is always a blessing to have them. Bro. Larry had a copy of the new Bible he is having printed and it is beautiful.

3000 of these Bibles are on the way and the money for them has been raised. He still needs about $2000 for shipping so there is still time to help with the expense if you would like too. This Bible combines the best Spanish translation with a good concordance with a durable cover at only $6.50 per Bible. That is awesome.

The other special visitors drove all the way from Montana! Bro. Nathan and Sis. Leah Jeffreys are on their way to Texas for a wedding and detoured up here so they could be in service with us. It was a great treat to see them especially since they brought their son Seth. He was born a few weeks after we were in Montana last year so it was wonderful to finally meet him!

I knew that they were coming but it was a complete surprise to Kelly Jo and Odie. They came early and visited a few hours before church and we enjoyed it so very much. You may remember them from HERE.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures from the first night of revival. We will have more of the rest of the church folks later in the week. Thank you for praying for us. Please continue to hold us up in prayer.

Corky Pine

It was nice to have our niece Courtney Morgan (aka Corky Pine) with us for several weeks this summer.

Kelly Jo has one brother and one sister. Her brother is named Danny and Courtney is Danny's oldest child. She was on summer break from college and joined us for a few weeks of fun and excitement. We hope she was blessed to be with us. We had some great revival services this summer and the Lord ministered to her in several of those services.

I know that Corky had some new experiences while she was with us. She ate lots of new kinds of food, met lots of great folks, flew in an airplane for the first time and traveled to several new states. In fact, I think every state we traveled to was new to her.

If my count is correct she traveled to 12 states for the first time. In the order of travel she went to Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, California, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma. Several of those states she was in twice as we made our big circle this summer.

She also was blessed to experience several of the highs and lows of evangelism. She experienced all the hard work of tent revival, some very stressful travel days, many days in a row of church services, mechanical trouble, cancellations, last minute changes, very late nights coupled with very early mornings and much more. She also witnessed the presence of God in the services, the grace of God at work in people's lives, lots of fun and laughter and some great devotional times on the bus.

I think she was able to see some of the big picture of why we love the life God has called us to enjoy/endure. It is a crazy life but we love to share it.

God bless you, Corky!

Haircuts, Mexican Food and Weather

Haircuts are expensive. Since I have been having my hair cut all one short length the last four summers it really bugged me to pay big bucks for the barber to shave it all off in 3-5 minutes. We finally broke down and bought a good set of clippers so Kelly Jo could try cutting my hair.

I ordered them while we were in Kansas and had them shipped home. The clippers were waiting for us when we arrived at my parent's home last week. Today was the first time we had a chance to try them out.

It only took Kelly Jo a few minutes and she was finished. I think she did pretty good! The clippers will pay for themselves in 4-5 haircuts. Hooray! Now I can buy more diesel!

This evening we met Pastor Meadow and Sis. Carolyn, Bro. Jimmy and Sis. Shauna Millikin, Bro. Terry and Sis. Christa Garner and their children at Los Aztecas for Mexican food. The food and fellowship were very good. This place has salsa that almost rivals Acapulco but not quite.

Some way I missed getting a picture of the Millikins but I am sure I will get some before we leave. We love being with these folks so much. They have been our dear friends for so many years.

Would you look at this weather forecast?

And that only tells half of the story. The humidity and heat index is supposed to be really bad this week as well. Because of that Pastor Meadow has decided to move the revival indoors this week. We have had tent revivals with it this hot before but it is really difficult to entice visitors under the tent in this kind of weather. A little Air Conditioning never hurt anybody!

We will still start revival Wednesday night and run through Sunday. We are believing God for a great move of His Spirit in these services. There are several in the church that need to be healed of cancer and I am sure there are various other serious needs as well. Would you pray that God will visit us with a divine move of His presence?

God bless you all.
