A Word For Wednesday-The Ultimate Safety Net

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I am reading today from
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

The eternal God with His everlasting arms underneath of me! That is the ultimate safety net! Are you in a pinch? Are you in bind? Are you on the edge of the cliff?
The eternal God is near you, friend!

Thank you for dropping in today.

Weekend Dispatch 11/29/22

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from my beach cottage. I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am doing good this week. Yesterday I tried to recover from the busy weekend.

I hope you enjoy my pictures from the 2022 Boggs Thanksgiving. I plan to share The Morgan Thanksgiving pictures on Thursday.

Yesterday I sat down and compiled all of the pictures from Thanksgiving week that I have not shared yet. I found pictures from Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, It is time for a Weekend Dispatch Odie style.

Tuesday afternoon, I enjoyed lunch at Alcapulso with Mamaw and Papaw.

Tuesday night, it was time for church at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church.

Bro. Andrew Blevins

Kids Choir

Bryson Hoskins

Bro. Jared Burris

Bro. Cliff Burris, singing Midnight Cry. My pastor described Bro. Cliff's excellent singing well. Bro. Bennie said it was addictive. You just want to keep hearing him sing.

Bro. J.C. Burris preaching.

Pastor B.D. Sutherland

Tuesday night was also bittersweet. It was my last time to see the visiting Burris crew. Friday, they left us to head back to California, California, and Georgia.

I had to get a few final pictures from this visit. This family has been like family to us for years. I am always grateful to spend time with them!

This is me with Grandma Cindy.

This is J.C. Burris and Me.

This is Papa Cliff and Me.

This is Brooklynn Burris and me.

I went Black Friday shopping with my Gran, cousins, Aunt Jeanna and Aunt Kim. We had a fun day together, including lunch at Olive Garden.

My Papaw Danny and my cousin Joey fished while we shopped! We enjoyed the fruit of their successful fishing day for dinner. Thanks to Uncle Danny for frying up the fresh crappie! It was so delicious!

Then it was time to decorate my grandparent's home for Christmas! It is fun to turn it into a family affair with the member of our family that can come.

Saturday, my grandparents brought me home.

First, we enjoyed lunch at Chilis.

Then we had a fun shopping trip at Sam's Club. We topped it off with Sam's ice cream.

Sunday was devoted to church at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church.

That wraps up my weekend. It was busy and exciting. Thanks to the Stancells for giving me rides to church. I have so much fun hanging out with them!

Boggs Thanksgiving 2022 In Pictures

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking in from Ohio. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! My Thanksgiving 2022 was excellent.

The celebration for our family began Wednesday night. The Boggs crew gathered at the fellowship hall next to my house! It was fantastic to see all of our family who could be here.

The centerpiece of our dinner was smoked turkey from City Barbeque. It tasted amazing! We all added side dishes and desserts. The entire dinner tasted fabulous! It was a fantastic Boggs Family Feast!

We were all thankful to be together another year! Our family is extremely blessed! I am proud and grateful to be part of this incredible family!

My Papaw, Danny Morgan, joined us for part of the celebration. He came to pick me up. Also, Papaw Danny, Uncle Jay, Luke and Victor had a jam session. It was great to hear their music and sing along!

Below are the pictures that I captured during the evening. My Aunt Theresa Osborn took a few of the photos.

Thanks for joining me for today's post. See you next time.
