Foodie Friday Friends Family And Furry Friends

Hey Friends,

Happy Friday! Welcome to August! 2025 is sailing right by. I find it hard to believe that fall is right around the corner!

I have had an incredible week! It has been wonderful to fellowship with family and friends. We have enjoyed some delicious food along the way! It is a joy to experience laughter and friendship!

My friends Emily and Nathan Roberts came to get me on Wednesday evening. We had wanted to go out for dinner for a long time, and Wednesday was the appointed day. Mexican was on the menu, and I was all for that!

Alcapulco was just as good as ever! Our friends there took great care of us. Pictures do not do the food justice. I apologize that you cannot taste or smell this food!

I enjoyed the evening with Emily and Nathan! Thank you so much, my dear friends for spending part of your day with me! You will never know how much it meant to me!

On the way home from Acapulco, a sudden heavy rain popped up. We had to wait it out for a few moments in the car.

Wednesday, my cousin Lauren Osborn sent me this picture of the beach cottage. This was taken from the Dodds church parking lot.

Thanks, Lauren, for capturing this beautiful picture. I love to see a rainbow! I am reminded of the promises of God every time!

Also, here is another photo that I captured that evening. it was cool enough for me to enjoy my porch and a beautiful sunset!

Thursday, it was time for more family and fellowship! The rain continued so the party came to me! The beach cottage became the party house.

They brought Raising Cane's with them too! It was scrumptious. my friends spoil me! 😂

I was thrilled to have my cousins Sarah, Bethany, Rebecca, Emerson, Grace Brylee and Clayton visit me! I think we all laughed until we hurt. It was just what the doctor ordered for all of us!

I say it a lot, but I am so thankful for these ladies and their families! They have been my heroes since I was a girl. We have grown up together and experienced a lot of life. I'm so thankful for them! Thank you for taking time for me! I love you all so much!

Yes, we missed you, Rodney, Philip, Brandon and Bryson! I knew I would get that question from them. 🤣

Here is one more visitor to the beach cottage I caught on camera this week.

I have seen rabbits often. This little bunny stayed in this spot for a long time! I guess he was being my guard rabbit that night. I usually see them down by our barn, not in front of the house.

Thank you for reading. See you all tomorrow!

Weekend Wrap Up 7/22/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am doing well.

This weekend was full of activity, and I captured pictures to prove it. Let's do a Weekend Wrap Up. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Saturday, I went next door to Dodds Church. In the afternoon, they had a Kids' Camp. Uncle Jay, Aunt Theresa and their helpers did a great job.

The kids seem to have a fun time! Thank God for clearing the weather up for a little while! That was an answer to prayer!

I received a I received a special surprise in the mail. My dear friend Esther Richards knows me so well! Thank you for making me smile, Esther! We love you!

Sunday, was an extremely busy day, as always! We had church twice at DRPC. The presence of God was so wonderful in both of the services! We are definitely a blessed people at DRPC!

In the afternoon, I was able to spend some quality time with my dear friend Michelle! I appreciate her taking time out of her busy afternoon to be with me! We enjoyed dinner at Olive Garden and coffee from 7 Brew.

Sunday was also reserved for a baby shower for my cousin Jonas and his beautiful wife, Kylee!

Baby Beckham received lots of thoughtful gifts from his church family! We are excited to meet the little guy when he makes his arrival in just a few weeks!

After church Sunday evening, it was wonderful to spend time with some more of our church family! J.C. and Brooklynn Burris were visiting from Savannah Georgia. I really enjoyed getting to catch up with them after service!

Happy to be reunited for a little while with my buddy, J.C. Burris!

Pray For Others

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for spending a moment of your Saturday with me! You make my day by being here!

First, I want to share the beautiful scene I was blessed to see from my side porch last evening. The handiwork of God‘s paintbrush never ceases to amaze me! This was at the end of a beautiful sunset!

Today, my heart is burdened for others. Lately my friends have been suffering. Several family and friends have suffered the loss of of loved ones! Some were expected, but some were not! My heart aches and grieves for all of them.

More of our precious friends are facing the loss in the coming days! I wish I could be there to give them a big hug!

Also, we know many people who are facing serious health battles. They need a miracle desperately!

Then the list of loved ones that need salvation is long! They all need a moment of clear thinking. Then I pray they call upon God during the moment of clarity!

I feel helpless at encouraging those in need. I am at a loss for words! I can not answer their questions. I can not take their pain or heal them!

Mom and I know firsthand the importance of prayer! While you are going through a hard times, you really can feel the prayers from God's people!

Prayer genuinely does matter! It is the most important thing that you can do for someone else! everybody could use a little more prayer!

I have been trying hard the last couple days to focus on praying for others! Really that is the most important thing we can do for anyone in their time of need!

God can do all things! I still believe He is a miracle worker! I know He holds your hand through grief and heartache!

Please join me in praying for all those who need help from God today! There are probably many more that I am not even thinking of at this moment. I know there are needs you know of that I am not even aware of. We can rest in this fact, God knows all the needs, and He has power to move exactly how it needs to be done!

See you tomorrow.

4th of July 2025 In Pictures

Hey Friends,

Thank you for dropping by for a visit! I hope you had a great 4th of July yesterday. I sure did! It was a busy day but full of fun and family time.

The first thing on my list was to attend our Waynesville 4th of July parade on Main Street! Our small town has a fantastic parade, and I always enjoy attending when possible.

I enjoyed attending the parade with several family members and friends this year. Also, we had many friends and family members in the parade! It was fun to cheer them on as they drove past us! The weather was warm, but beautiful. Thank God for a great day!

Then Lisa and I journeyed to a small Mexican restaurant called Acapulco. You may have heard of it.🤣 It was absolutely delicious yesterday! The food really hit the spot!

The time spent with my sweet cousin was even better! Things have been so busy, and we have just seen each other in passing.

Thanks to our friend Diane McCormic for the money to enjoy a great lunch! Diane is the sweetest lady. Lisa has worked for her for many years.

Later in the afternoon, Aunt Theresa picked me up. Our cousin Rhonda and Landall Smith hosted a 4th of July cookout at their house. We had more fun and fellowship with family and friends!

To finish the day, we went back to my Aunt Theresa and Uncle Jay’s house. There, we watched the Waynesville fireworks. Their neighbor provided a great playlist of patriotic songs to accompany the fireworks! The Waynesville fireworks show is fantastic, and this was a wonderful way to cap off the day!

Now I hope you are ready for my 4th of July in pictures. I was unable to get any good pictures of the fireworks. You will just have to take my word for that. They were excellent.

Thanks for reading! for me it is already July 5, and I am ready to crawl into the bed.
