Remembering Bro. Robert F. Dotson

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for joining me. Today we are remembering a dear friend. Dad had another reunion a few days ago.

Sunday morning we learned that one of our friends slipped into Heaven. Bro. Robert F. Dotson was a faithful fixture at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church!

He has been there all of my 37 years at DRPC.  I loved to watch the Lord cover him up with the Holy Ghost during a move of God!

The last several years his seat was on the front seat right by the sisw door. He would often great me as I entered the sanctuary. Sometimes we were both going up the ramp at the same time. He was always so friendly.

Bro. Bob was our resident poet at church. Bro. Bennie often called on him to give us a poem at church, and he was always ready.

He was a prayer warrior. He always requested prayer for ministers or missionaries and his family. Bro. Bob also loved to encourage others. He would text poems and scriptures on a regular basis. The last poem I received was on Friday afternoon.

Bro. Bob will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends! Here is a link to his obituary. Please join me in praying for his wife Sis. Linda, their sons and all the family. The funeral will be Thursday at noon.

I will see my friend again soon!! Heaven grows sweeter all the time!

Word For The Weary 9/29/25

 Hey Friends,

Here is a Word For The Weary  on this beautiful fall Monday. Our Pastor preached from this text, Isaiah 43:1, yesterday morning.

I have read this scripture many times, but it resonated with me yesterday. This is a personal verse for everyone of us reading. There are not any exclusions that apply. Remember you are valuable!

The Lord formed and created me and you. He tells us to not fear. He is our Savior, Redemer and friend. God also knows all of us by our names.

Life is heavy for so many right now.  My heart hurts for my friends. It seams like I hear several more urgent requests everyday. They are dear people truly needing help from God. He is the only one that can move in most of these needs!

But on the flip side He is able to work in every situation! We do not understand God’s purpose, plan or timing. He is God of the universe and we are just humans. Yet He is still concerned about our lives!

What a awesome God we serve. He is always with us! I thought of this old song yesterday. I am so glad that we do not have to bear the burdens of life alone!

Before I go today, don't forget you can listen to our new project, digitally. Here is more information.

The CD's and USB drives are in the duplication phase. They will soon be available for order.

Thanks for stopping by to visit. We love our precious readers. You are in our prayers. Please join us in praying for the family of God!

Sunday Sanity 9/28/25

 Hey Friends,

Happy Sunday from the Ohio beach cottage. We are delighted to be home today to be in service at DRPC. I am expecting a great Sunday!

Last Sunday, we ended up traveling halfway home. Before we hit the road, we attended one more service in Richton. Pastor Scott Morris preached a message that was God anointed!

It was just what Mom and I needed to hear! It was incredibly special to know that we were on God's mind. His presence was so sweet!

Here is one of the nuggets that I gleaned from the message. Sometimes I am so involved that it's hard for me to jot the nuggets down! I need to go back here to watch the service again to retain more of the message.

There is nothing wrong with showing emotions in your trial.  It is when you let your emotions control you that it's wrong”

Thanks for reading! I'll see you all tomorrow!

GoodNews Christian School Update

 Hey Friends,

Recently Mom received an update message from Nigeria. They are making great progress on the new school building.

Phase 3 is currently underway. They are now working on the top floor! We are thrilled for our dear friends!

This is a project and ministry that was near and dear to my Daddy's heart! He loved this Christian School and its mission to educate children. Most of all to teach them about Christ.

Boggs Family Ministries and our friends have supported the GoodNews Christian School since the beginning. Dad had already committed to helping with their latest building project, before his passing.

Mom and I wanted to keep BFM's commitment to GoodNews. We are thankful to report, God has blessed us! Many of you have helped us continue donating to their school!

They want Mom to come for the dedication of the new building. They want to honor Dad. Mom and a Boggs Family Ministries Team were scheduled to go in November.

A few weeks ago Mom decided to postpone the Nigeria trip this year. We still have questions about my ongoing health issues, and I may need surgery later this fall. Mom thought it was best not to continue planning the trip for now.

Please continue to join us in praying for our precious friends in Nigeria. They are our family in God. We desire for Him to bless and help them daily! May God bless and use the ministry of GoodNews Christian School to touch countless lives for the kingdom of God.

Thanks for reading. God bless you! I will close with the updated pictures of phase 3.

Interesting Animals Came to School

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for stopping by to visit. don't forget our new project, The Next Step, is available for digital download! Click here to find out more information.

This is a fun post. While we were in Richton, Mississippi they had a fun day at the church’s Christian school.

They had a lady come and bring some interesting animals. The animals were rescued or were former pets that we given to Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center in Purvis, Mississippi.

Bro. Scott invited us to come to school to see the animals too. Animals fascinate me at a distance!

Last minute Mom had to work on something, but I went to see the animals. My Papaw Danny and Uncle Steve were also there.

The kids got to see interesting animals and learn fun facts about the animals. It was so fun!

Here are pictures from the fun day. Thanks to Sis. Wanda for some of the pictures.

Uncle Steve even held the snake. I passed on touching the snake. I did pet the lion rabbit. He was cool!

Here is some backstory on this pic. Bro. Scott was helping the lady get set up. He came into the building with his hands full, and my Papaw Danny offered to help him. He took this bin, without realizing what was inside! Papaw got a good startle when he looked down and saw a python! 😂

Thanks for reading! See you all tomorrow.

Throwback Thursday Recording He Came

Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining me for Throwback Thursday! Have you heard our news? The Next Step is now available for digital download on all platforms!

Check out yesterday's post here for more information and to view all the artwork online.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of you who have downloaded and listened to the new project. We appreciate your great feedback!

The release of this project has caused me to reflect on our past releases. Lots of great memories are flooding my mind from the recording process

The last one that we were released was in 2013. It is called He Came The Gospel Of Christmas.

We recorded it in the spring of 2013 at Hilltop Studios. For throwback Thursday, let's look back at a post. Dad wrote back then. It has lots of pictures from the recording days.

I will let Dad finish this post. I hope you enjoy it! See you all tomorrow.

The very high dollar mic that I sang into for the recording. It made me sound exactly like me. That is NOT a good thing.

We stayed too late at night. I asked them to stand against the wall so I could snap a picture and this is what I got.
