Winter Storm Fern

 Hey Friends,

Odie here today. I hope you are staying warm! I escaped the wrath of Ferm. Here's the only snow that we saw this weekend in Orlando. It was projected on the ground.

I will soon be boarding the Carnival Freedom for Singing at Sea 2026.

Today begins this year's Singing At Sea cruise, which is the 50th anniversary!  Michelle Bostwick is my travel companion this year. We are ready for music, sunshine, good food and fun.

I have blog posts scheduled for this week. Hopefully, everything goes up according to plan. I will be away from signal most of the week. I am going to soak up the sun and vacation.

Mom sent me pictures yesterday of the snow in Waynesville. It is hard to know exactly how much snow landed at our place. Snow likes to drift there. Mom's overall guess yesterday afternoon was 11 inches.

I am happy that I am gone! It is beautiful but I'll just look at pictures. I will close with Mom's pics. I did snap one from the doorbell yesterday morning.

See you later!

Winter Storm Prep January 2026

 Hey Friends,

We have been in storm-prep mode, just like most of the United States. I hope you have your supplies. Stay safe and warm!

It sure seems as if this will be a history-making weather event!
On Wednesday, we went to Walmart to make sure we had food. Mom has the generator ready.

All the storm prep things are done. I think Mom is all set. She can ride out the storm safely. Hopefully, we are overprepared!

Ryan Hall is our go-to weather guy on YouTube. Our Y'all Meter 3.0 ready to measure the snow.

I also did so personal storm prep. I booked a flight to Florida for yesterday. You see, I have had plans for a months to fly out Saturday afternoon. It's vacation time for me.

Tuesday we decided to leave Ohio a little early to avoid the nasty weather. That is why yesterday found me and Michelle Bostwick flying from Cincinnati to Orlando. We did not want to miss vacation due to weather issues.

It looks like our temps for vacation will be cooler than normal. I will take cooler temps and sunshine instead of the frigid weather of Ohio!

There you have a look at storm prep from one extreme to the other. Praying for everyone to stay well, warm and safe. For all my friends traveling for the Singing At Sea cruise, I hope to see you on the ship!

Thank you for reading!

11th Hour In Lebanon OH

 Hey Friends,

On Sunday, Pastor E.J. Lamb text me that they had special visitors coming on Wednesday night at Anchor of Hope.

Garrett and Amber Saunders of the trio 11th Hour would be singing. Victoria Bowlin could not be with them that night.

I was excited to see my friends.  I love 11th Hour. They have been my host group on the cruise for the last two years!

Mom and I were able to go on Wednesday night. Garrett and Amber did a phenomenal job!!

We enjoyed seeing our Anchor of Hope Friends, Garrett and Amber. The singing and worship were wonderful. The whole night was great!

Thanks, Bro. E.J., for letting me know about this special service! We loved being there!

Here are some pictures from Wednesday night's service. You can also see the service on YouTube here.

After service, we visited awhile. Then we had to tell Garrett and Amber bye. They had to head back to Tennessee.

Then we went to Alcapulco with Bro. E.J., Lacey, Reese, Carter, Hudson and Stella. The food and fellowship was wonderful!

Hope you enjoy seeing our Wednesday night.   Sorry if there are any typo’s. My Papaw Danny Morgan was elbowing me! 😂

Remember God Will Always Be Enough

 Hey Friends,

Happy Saturday! Can you believe we are already one week into the month of June? I can not wrap my mind around the fact that we are halfway through this year already.

I hope and pray you are doing well! By God's grace, we are well. God is good!

We are choosing to walk daily in His goodness and trust Him. God is trustworthy!

Today I am reminded of this truth: He is with us in the good times and in the bad! My God Will Always Be Enough!

Our questions may not be answered.   None of us knows what tomorrow holds! Hallelujah, we know who holds tomorrow! Better yet, He has all of us in the palm of his hand!

Early this year, I was sitting on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean listening to my buddies KPNR sing. Karen Peck Gooch, began singing this old song, My God Will Always Be Enough.

I think it was released in 2000 my research shows that it was part of the Taste Of Grace album. In fact, I had even forgotten about the song. The message is fantastic!

The special night that I witnessed, Karen sang the fire out of the song! It an incredible moment! Let me just tell you, I was glad I was not within sight of her at this right then.

I was a puddle of tears, but rejoicing as well! Thank God for the reminder of, My God Will Always Be Enough!

I was in no shape to capture the song video, and I cannot find the exact moment online. I did find her singing it in January 2023.

I have a feeling that someone reading this needs to be reminded of this fact today. Please give this song and listen. let the message of the lyrics soak into your soul. Please be encouraged! Friend, My God Will Always Be Enough!

Join me in praising God for His ever present help and strength! We can face what lies ahead! God will always be enough for each and everyone of us!

Thank you for reading! See you again next time.

Odie’s 2025 Vacation Day 5

 Hey Friends,

I hope you are having a great Wednesday. We have been enjoying a week at home. I did have a little porch time yesterday! That is my first time sitting on my glider this year and enjoying the sunshine.

While I was outside, I was going through pictures on my phone. I realized I have not finished sharing my vacation photos from this year. I am behind!

Therefore, today, we have day five of the 2025 vacation. This is day three of the Singing At Sea cruise. Wednesday was a port day. We spent some time at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the island for a little while. Then, we found our way back on the ship and enjoyed some deck time. Next on the agenda was music, dinner music, friends, ice cream and you get my point.

Hopefully, you will enjoy seeing some of our vacation pictures. All of these were captured on either my iPhone or Nicole's. FYI, Blogger has taken to posting the pictures in random order. It drives me crazy when I work so hard to try to get them in chronological order.

The Singing At Sea cruise by Templeton Tours is a blast, and I am looking forward to next year! I cannot say it enough, Thanks again to my dear friend Nicole for being a great travel companion!

Without further ado, I will leave you with pictures from Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Thanks for reading. See you tomorrow!
