Foodie Friday With Family And Friends

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by today. It is time for Foodie Friday With Family Ands Friends.

One of our favorite restaurants is located in Laurel, Mississippi. It is called Hog Heaven. The food is wonderful!

We have been there twice during this Mississippi visit. We loved every bite of their food was just as good as we remembered. I ate something new both times.

There may or may not be another Hog Heaven trip on our radar before we leave the area. I promise we enjoy the food that much. It is worth the drive!

The fellowship with family and friends was even better. I will share the pictures we snapped at Hog Heaven. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

See you next time.

Happy 40th Birthday Joey Daniels

 Hey Friends,

I am interrupting regular Sunday blog programming to celebrate a birthday. Joey Daniels joins the 40 club today.

Happy birthday, Joey! We love you! Hope your special day is wonderful. Sorry, we were not there to celebrate with you. So today we will celebrate virtually.

May God bless and keep you. I hope this is an incredible year.

Thank you for being our family IT specialist. I know you get tired of my questions. Thanks for not blocking my calls or texts. We appreciate your help greatly.

I will close with some pictures. Joey is married to Mom’s niece Courtney, to help you make the family connection. He is also Daddy to Ezra, Jackson and Karleigh Jo.

Heaven Is Sweet

 Hey Friends,

We often say Heaven grows sweeter each day. That thought is so true in my life.

Lately, it seems we have had several friends, family and acquaintances complete their life journeys. Our hearts ache for the loved ones left here to face life. We are praying for God to comfort and strengthen them.

Here are just some of the wonderful highlights of Heaven that I am thinking about today. We long for the Promised Land, where we can be with our Savior!

I am anxious for a forever home where sin, sorrow and strife will be no more. There will be no pain, sickness, or goodbyes. I am looking forward to a grand reunion day with my loved ones.

Oh, hallelujah, Heaven will be glorious!! I am so grateful for the blessed hope that we have. This life is not the end, but there is a better place.

The half has not yet been told. We can only dream and imagine what Heaven will be like. I made my plans years ago to be there, and I can not wait.

Below is a picture of my Dad with
precious Sis. Faye Riddell. They were reunited this week in Heaven.

Thank you for reading, as I dream of Heaven. See you later.

Sweeny Texas March 2026 Visit

 Hey Friends,

Mom and I are visiting the great state of Texas. I wanted to give you a peek at our weekend.

We are getting to visit friends on this trip. It had been wonderful to see everyone again!

Sweeny, Texas, was a regular stop on our travel route for many years. We love Pastor Larry Lamb and the fine folks at Full Gospel Lighthouse Church. They have been so good to us.

I am glad we were able to be in a service with them, and thank them for their friendship to BFM.

I will close with pics from our Sweeny visit this time around. Thank you for joining me today.

God Is Good Lyrics

 Hey Friends,

Today, we are visiting track number two on our latest project. Mom brought God Is Good to the song table. It was a song that was ministering to her greatly. We have tried to keep our focus on the fact that God is good through it all.

I also loved the song. When we started arranging the songs for recording, she suggested that I sing the first verse.

I struggled to make it through the verse because it is my life in song form. Without a doubt, I can say from the bottom of my heart God has been extra good to me!

Things did not go according to my beautiful life plan. In my third-grade plan, life was projected to be perfect.
At nine years old, I did not fully understand life or God’s goodness. I am glad God has stood by me through life’s curveballs.

This song has become a crowd favorite. I think everyone can relate.

Verse 1

Third grade

I drew my dreams on a blank page

My own silver screen

Painted sun never rain

And love without pain

Funny the life I designed

Never played out like I had in mind

Had some highs hit the ground

Some ups that went down

But one thing that I figured out

Chorus

Joy comes tears fall

I am learning there is beauty in it all

Not hard to find it

You just have to look

Oh God is good

Verse 2

I’ve said hellos and goodbyes

And I’ve held my friends

While they’ve cried

Tasted bitter and sweet

Those moments between

Oh He’s had His hand on everything

Chorus

Joy comes tears fall

I am learning there is beauty in it all

Not hard to find it

You just have to look

Oh God is good

Bridge

We’re all young then we’re old

Kids have kids of their own

And the days they keep moving moving

If there’s one thing I know

True wherever I go

He is with me forever through it all

Joy comes tears fall

I am learning there is beauty in it all

Ending chorus

Joy comes tears fall

I am learning there is beauty in it a

Not hard to find it

You just have to look

Oh God is good

Oh God is good

Family Time In Mississippi

 Hey Friends,

Wednesday afternoon was stupendous. We met up with family. It was wonderful to see the Mississippi portion of our Boggs clan.

My cousin Deidre and her husband Ben Shoemaker are now pastors in Mississippi. They moved last summer. Uncle Steve and Aunt Karen now spend most of their time near there, too.

It was great to catch up with them. We were able to see the church and where they live.

I was thrilled to get to love on the kids. Charlie, Chloe Jean and Carson are getting so big. They are precious and make this Auntie smile.

All too soon, it was time to say goodbye. Hopefully, I can see them again soon. Below are some pictures from our afternoon with them.

See you tomorrow.

Foodie Friday 2/20/26

 Hey Friends,

We have been eating some great food. Today, I decided to do a Foodie Friday post of lots of food. You may want to eat before looking at these pics. 😀 Sorry to make you hungry. 😀

Sis. Kim Morris makes incredible Gumbo. I had been craving it for a long time. She promised to make it for us this trip, and I have been so excited.  This batch may have been the best I ever eaten!

I love food. Dad taught me that eating is an event. He sure showed me how to enjoy my food. I always think about him when I eat something delicious.

Now, I am starving. We plan to eat some of our favorited today and tomorrow. I will have to tell you about it later.
