Friendly Familiar Faces

Hey Friends,

Last month, while we were in Texas.  We caught up with some extra special people. I think our regular readers might recognize them.

The Mayhans are from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. They are some of our dearest and longest friends. They have shown up countless places over the years. Their visits always bring a smile to our faces.

Nowadays,  those visits are planned ahead of time. We still love seeing our friends here there and everywhere. It is always fun to connect with them.

Mom and I can never thank them for their unwavering love, friendship and support. They are friends that we can laugh, cry and dream with. We love Bro. Bruce and Sis Priscilla dearly!

We so appreciate their efforts to show us their love for us. They took time away from home and work to travel just to be with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit this time around.

I will forever cherish the memories that were made during our time together. We look forward to the next time we see them down the road! Who knows when and where that will be? We need to plan it soon. 😀

Thank you for reading. See you all next time.

Foodie Friday With Family And Friends

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by today. It is time for Foodie Friday With Family Ands Friends.

One of our favorite restaurants is located in Laurel, Mississippi. It is called Hog Heaven. The food is wonderful!

We have been there twice during this Mississippi visit. We loved every bite of their food was just as good as we remembered. I ate something new both times.

There may or may not be another Hog Heaven trip on our radar before we leave the area. I promise we enjoy the food that much. It is worth the drive!

The fellowship with family and friends was even better. I will share the pictures we snapped at Hog Heaven. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

See you next time.

Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle March 2026

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining me today. I am finishing our Sunday recap. Yesterday, I wrote about our Sunday morning, HERE.

On Sunday evening, we were in church in Moss Point, Mississippi. We love our friends at Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle.

Pastor J.R. and Sis Teresa Alexander have been long-time friends of our family. We have gone to church together at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church for many years. I grew up with their children as my close friends.

The Alexanders have stayed connected to Mom and me. We appreciate their prayers, friendship and encouragement. It is wonderful to have excellent people in our corner!

It was wonderful to visit with them Sunday night. Their church always makes us feel loved.

Most of all, the service was great. Bro. J.R. preached so well. The Lord was there to bring the lost back home. Several responded; it was so wonderful to watch the Lord touch them! I pray they continue to seek God!

I only snapped a handful of photos during our visit. I will post them in closing. See you tomorrow!

Tanner Williams Holiness Church March 2026

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by. Yesterday, on Sunday, we had a full day. We were rolling toward Alabama early in the morning. We arrived in Richton after midnight on Monday. It was a great day!

Sunday morning, we were in church at Tanner Williams Holiness Church. Pastor Donnie Williams invited us to sing and be with them for a service. We were thrilled to see our friends again!

We have been making a March visit there nearly every year for a long time. They have been a part of our road family for many years.

Pastor Donnie and Sis. Gayla Williamson and their crew in Wilmer, Alabama, are wonderful. We love visits and cherish the time we spend with such special friends!!

Here are some pictures from our visit with Tanner Williams this time. I will tell you about Sunday night tomorrow.

Heaven Is Sweet

 Hey Friends,

We often say Heaven grows sweeter each day. That thought is so true in my life.

Lately, it seems we have had several friends, family and acquaintances complete their life journeys. Our hearts ache for the loved ones left here to face life. We are praying for God to comfort and strengthen them.

Here are just some of the wonderful highlights of Heaven that I am thinking about today. We long for the Promised Land, where we can be with our Savior!

I am anxious for a forever home where sin, sorrow and strife will be no more. There will be no pain, sickness, or goodbyes. I am looking forward to a grand reunion day with my loved ones.

Oh, hallelujah, Heaven will be glorious!! I am so grateful for the blessed hope that we have. This life is not the end, but there is a better place.

The half has not yet been told. We can only dream and imagine what Heaven will be like. I made my plans years ago to be there, and I can not wait.

Below is a picture of my Dad with
precious Sis. Faye Riddell. They were reunited this week in Heaven.

Thank you for reading, as I dream of Heaven. See you later.

Sweeny Texas March 2026 Visit

 Hey Friends,

Mom and I are visiting the great state of Texas. I wanted to give you a peek at our weekend.

We are getting to visit friends on this trip. It had been wonderful to see everyone again!

Sweeny, Texas, was a regular stop on our travel route for many years. We love Pastor Larry Lamb and the fine folks at Full Gospel Lighthouse Church. They have been so good to us.

I am glad we were able to be in a service with them, and thank them for their friendship to BFM.

I will close with pics from our Sweeny visit this time around. Thank you for joining me today.

In My Lowest Time Lyrics

Hey Friends,

If you have missed some days. I am posting the lyrics and a little bio of each song. I am doing a song a day. We often get requests for lyrics. It helps when I can send a blog link.

The Next Step is our latest music project. It is available for download on all streaming platforms. You can contact us to order CDs or USB drives. Click HERE to view the official album artwork.

Today, we are halfway through our Next Step project. I had this song in my record folder in my brain for over 2 decades.

In My Lowest Time was recorded in the early 2000’s our dear friends The Eason Trio. Jason Eason is a co-writer on the song.

This song grabbed my heart from the first listen. It was MY song that carried me through many tough spots.

I had asked permission to record it a long time ago. Jason said yes, and I knew one day it would be the right fit for a project.

As soon as we began compiling our album song list, I knew now was the time. Jason, again, gave me permission to use his song.

I was thrilled to record, In My Lowest Time. Below are the lyrics.

In My Lowest Time
IN MY LOWEST TIME WRITERS: JASON THOMAS EASON AND DAVID COLONE/
ANGIE EASON PUBLISHING/BMI

Verse1
Lord, can hear me
Are you there
Or have I disturbed you
With my constant prayer
All of these demons
Have me lost in the dark
Can you shine your light
That leads back to your arms

Verse 2
Lord has been searching
For a new start
And I wrote your words
On the walls of my heart
You always remind me
Your promises are true
You never let me down
No matter what I go through

Chorus
In my lowest time
You were there
It was your loving hand
That wiped away my tears
You held me tightly
Close to your side
You saw me through
My lowest time
You saw me through
My lowest time

Bridge
When I thought you were
To far away to see
I turn around
And see you standing
Right next to me

Chorus
In my lowest time
You were there
It was your loving hands
That wiped away my tears
You held me tightly
So close to your side
You saw me through
My lowest time
You saw me through
My lowest time

Mighty Big God Lyrics

 Hey Friends,

We have reached track 4 on our new project. The song is Mighty Big God. It was written by Jimmy Yeary and Sonya Isaacs Yeary, but recorded by Karen Peck and New River.

This song has been a regular in our song lineup for many years. We have sung this song in services from coast to coast. It is a great faith-building song.

Our dear friends Bro. Bruce and Sis. Priscilla Mayhan has reminded us a lot that God is still big, even in our uncertainty about life. They have encouraged us to keep singing this song. So when we were compiling songs for The Next Step, we knew this would be included.

Below are the lyrics to the song. I hope and pray this message continues to encourage many people to believe God is big. I know He can do anything!

MIGHTY BIG GOD WRITERS: JIMMY YEARY AND SONYA ISAACS NASHVISTAVILLE SONGS BMI/SONYA ISAACS MUSIC BMI/EMI BLACK WOOD MUSIC INC BMI/SONY/ATV
TREE PUBLISHING BMI/BEATTYVILLE MUSIC BMI

Verse 1
He brought down a giant
With a boy, a stone and a sling
He swallowed up an army
When He parted the Red Sea
He shut the lion's mouth
When they threw Daniel in the den
He hasn't changed
He's still the same
Today as He was then

Chorus
Cause He's a big God
There's never been nothing
That He can't do
He’s a big God
And He knows just what
You’re going through
No matter how big the
Hopeless helpless
Problem is you've got
Don't worry He's a mighty big God

Verse 2
You might be facin'
Some steep mountain
You can't climb
You might be drowning
In a sea of tears you've cried
You may be praying
For a miracle right now
Well, go ahead and claim it
He's already worked it out

Chorus
Cause He's a big God
There's never been nothing
That He can't do
He’s a big God
And He knows just what
You’re going through
No matter how big the
Hopeless helpless
Problem is you've got
Don't worry He's a mighty big God

Foodie Friday 2/20/26

 Hey Friends,

We have been eating some great food. Today, I decided to do a Foodie Friday post of lots of food. You may want to eat before looking at these pics. 😀 Sorry to make you hungry. 😀

Sis. Kim Morris makes incredible Gumbo. I had been craving it for a long time. She promised to make it for us this trip, and I have been so excited.  This batch may have been the best I ever eaten!

I love food. Dad taught me that eating is an event. He sure showed me how to enjoy my food. I always think about him when I eat something delicious.

Now, I am starving. We plan to eat some of our favorited today and tomorrow. I will have to tell you about it later.
